About: I am a young professional who loves the outdoors. I spend most of my time being very active outside. I enjoy hiking, running or long walks on the beach in all types of weather! I have always loved dogs and have spent many years being around them and caring for them. Growing up, I had dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters and guinea pigs, mice, frogs etc. I often volunteer to take friend's and familie's dogs for walks in my spare time or pet sit over longer periods of time. I genuinely enjoy the company and energy that dogs bring. I have a life long ambition to care for animals who have been neglected or poorly treated. Apart from being active, I also enjoy downtime/ snuggle time with older/less energetic animals. I have a gentle touch and a lot of love to share for 4 legged friends, no matter the size or temperament! I am currently taking the Summer off so my schedule is wide open for all your furry friend's needs! Please feel free to reach out regarding any availability questions/concerns. I have a large property (a dogs paradise!) but I am also happy to go on as many or as little dog walks/fetch dates as needed for whatever length is best suited for your dog. I have lots of experience with anxious animals or unsocialized pets so therefore I am confident I can keep your fur baby safe.
“Emily was amazing! I felt super confident knowing she was coming to check in on my kitty. I got lots of photos and updates, and always got a reply within the hour. Will def be booking with her again and highly recommend!”

“Jason was amazing to our dogs, we were so worried to go on vacations and leave our dogs behind but Jason was truly great. The dogs had the best time playing and going out with him, it was a fun time for them. He always updated us and we felt that they were really well taken care off. We will definitely rebook next time we are away”

“We’re so happy with the care Chantelle provided for Tubby! She was responsive, reliable, and went above and beyond by tracking how much Tubby ate during each visit. That extra attention meant so much to us. Highly recommend and would definitely book her again!”

“My cats were well loved and cared for. Lion and Gabe took to Tayor right away. Taylor was punctual, responded quickly to messages and sent lots of pictures. I would highly recommend Taylor as a petsitter!”

About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!
“Amy has been our go-to cat sitter ever since we moved to this area and has taken incredible care of our 2 boys every time that we are away. She is trustworthy, professional, and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend her services!”

About: Hi fellow dog lovers! I’m Olivia — a lifelong animal enthusiast with over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. From growing up helping neighbors with training to pet sitting for friends and family, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’m currently training my own dog, Adonis, to become a service dog, and I’m on the path to becoming a certified dog trainer myself! Adonis is a sweet, playful companion who loves making new friends, and your pup will be in great company. I offer 24/7 supervision in a cozy, crate-free home (unless crating is your preference), with plenty of mental and physical enrichment. Your dog will enjoy daily walks, adventures on nearby trails, beach or lake visits, and lots of stimulation through play and exploration. With multiple cooling stations and AC to keep everyone comfortable, your fur baby will feel right at home — even welcome to snuggle up and sleep beside me! I can’t wait to meet you and your furry companion and would be honored to give them the care, love, and attention they deserve while you’re away. I’m currently working part time. So I have 4 days out of the week that is centred around animals. I have my own dog that I take for daily walks and training sessions so your fur babies will get lots of play time and exercise. I keep my home clean and organized so my dog can’t reach anything he shouldn’t. My dog is very friendly and can keep your fur babies entertained. I have a crate if needed and I can send picture/ video updates if wanted.

We're outdoor enthusiasts - weekends are often spent camping, hiking, or paddleboarding, and we hit the dog park a few times a week. I have a fenced backyard as well as 10+ kilometers of forest trails near my house. I want doggy guests to feel like they are at a home away from home. About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for and raised animals of all kinds, from puppies and rescue dogs to farm animals and small pets. My own rescue dog, Indigo, taught me so much about patience, compassion, and attentive care as I supported her through both IVDD and cancer. Through that experience, I became very comfortable with medication routines, mobility support, changing needs, and providing calm, loving care through every stage of an animal’s life. I’ve also raised puppies and lived on a farm where I regularly cared for large farm dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve had experience caring for many different animals, including parrots, snakes, hamsters, fish, rabbits, and other small pets. I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and needs, and I always strive to make them feel safe, understood, and cared for while their owners are away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention, consistency, and care throughout the day. I’m also a very active person and usually spend hours outside walking every day, so I’d genuinely love some furry companionship along the way - whether your dog prefers long adventures, slower sniff walks, or lots of playtime and attention. I live in a detached home with a fully fenced backyard and no other animals in the home, creating a calm and safe environment for your pet. I take animal care very seriously and have always treated every pet - whether my own or someone else’s - with patience, attentiveness, and genuine love. I cared for my sweet dog Indigo through both IVDD and cancer, which gave me firsthand experience supporting animals with medical needs, mobility limitations, medication routines, and changing comfort levels. That experience taught me that every animal is unique, and I’m happy to adapt to their individual routines, personalities, and care needs to help them feel safe and comfortable.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Metchosin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
