Barbara is very gifted with my anxiety ridden Westie. She comforts, feeds, walks, and basically makes her feel loved in my absence. She is always positive and eager to help. Since my dog comes to work with me everyday, we are together 24/7. Just the small time away from my dog, which isn’t often enough, allows me to relax and breathe.

About: Hi! I’m Lyndsey, and I’d love to care for your pup like one of my own 🐾 I grew up with Labs and Retrievers and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities-from teacup Shorkies to pit bulls. Since moving to the Island in 2018, l've regularly dog-sat for friends, family, and now Rover clients. I’m especially comfortable working with pups who are anxious, reactive, or sensitive and need a calm, patient approach to help them feel safe and understood. Additionally, I’m happy to follow any training methods your dog is learning to make sure our walks and visits stay consistent with their progress. - More about me - I work part time as an event paramedic, which means responsibility, safety, and attention to detail are second nature to me. You can trust that your pet (and your home) will be cared for with the same level of respect and attentiveness. - My Home - Nestled near Goldstream Park, Langford Lake, and Mount Wells, our walks turn every outing into an adventure. I live in a one bedroom suite with a shared fenced yard and can host 1 small/medium dog at a time so they receive lots of individual attention. I also let pets choose their cozy spots, bed included! - Your on call dog mom - I always aim to keep pets routines as consistent as possible and will happily tailor care to your instructions. I'd love to chat, answer any FURther questions, and make sure we're a great fit. I look forward to meeting you and giving your dog(s) the love and care they deserve. WALKS & DROP INS MONDAYS available 9am-10:30am & After 1:30pm TUESDAYS available after 3pm WED-SUN open availability HOUSE SITTING / BOARDING Does your dog need 24/7 care? I currently have regular walking clients during the week. I also may have an appointment that requires me to be out of the house. Rate increases may apply based on care requirements. Meet & greets are a great way to start, and I’m happy to book walks, playdates, or short visits beforehand to help every dog feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for.

Thank you so much to Michelle who took care of our two cats. Hermes had an emergency right before we left and required meds, which Michelle was happy to take care of on such short notice during our trip. She sent many photos of the cats each visit, played with them, and gave us updates on how they were doing. They seemed to love her right from the introduction visit. Super grateful we could trust Michelle to take care of our babies! MUCH better than the stress of boarding them in an unfamiliar place. Definitely will keep Michelle in mind for our next trip!

About: Growing up on a farm, I developed a deep love and respect for animals of all kinds. I've lived with cats my entire life, and my extended family always had dogs—so I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience caring for both. Whether it was feeding, bathing, or taking dogs on long walks during family gatherings, I’ve always been the go-to pet helper. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to keeping pets happy and healthy. I monitor water bowls daily, provide fresh water, and make sure dogs get plenty of exercise—whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood or a long hike to leave them happily tuckered out. I work a hybrid 8-4 schedule, so days I WFH can be worked in your space (if wanted) or I can come by on lunch breaks and after work. I am free after 5pm on days in office. On Friday's after 5pm and open all day on weekends and am more than welcome to staying to play and take outside In my own space, we have a balcony that my cat loves going outside on. While Bean does not have any harness training, I did put up garden fence edging to block her in so she cannot stick herself under the balcony. When she goes outside, I also go outside to ensure no funny business happens. My cat back home in Ontario with my parents (who is in my photo) was harness trained as we got her at 10 weeks. Gucci was harness trained as she was so small and wanted to always come outside, she wore a snag-free collar with a bell because she was so quiet. When she did come outside, we literally put a stake in the ground and put her leash around it so she could only go in a circle. as she got older we let her explore with us outside until we trusted her without the harness. Now that she's old, she just comes outside and lays in the sun but always has someone there to watch her as she still is a cat and has a love of thinking the grass is greener everywhere else.

About: I've loved and cared for animals for over 15 years. Growing up, I had both cats and dogs, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they were away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, so I always take the time to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing with company, I'll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. As a mom, I'm patient, responsible, and attentive to details. I treat every pet as if they were my own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I work from home, which allows me to spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. If your pet enjoys companionship, they're welcome to relax beside me in my home office while I work. Throughout the day, I take regular breaks for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, and lots of affection. My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent attention, making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and never left alone for long periods. I enjoy having pets around, and I treat every one of them as part of the family while they're with me. My home offers a safe and pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time, as well as a large open green space directly in front of the house that's perfect for walks, sniffing, and exercise. Every pet has different needs, so I always follow the owner's instructions regarding routines, feeding, exercise, sleeping arrangements, and any special care requirements. If your dog is crate-trained or you prefer them to be crated during certain times, I'm happy to accommodate that. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible by maintaining their normal routine. I also have two young boys, ages 10 and 3, so I ask that pets staying in our home are comfortable around respectful children. We believe in creating a calm, loving environment where every pet feels safe, welcome, and part of the family.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life and have years of experience helping my partner with dog-sitting. I’m patient, reliable, and love spending time with all kinds of dogs — from energetic puppies to calm seniors. I offer in-home dog sitting, dog boarding at your place or mine, and daily walks. Whether your pup needs playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I currently work full-time from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, so I can care for dogs who are comfortable being alone during that time. I’m fully available on weekends to spend the whole day with them. My partner, does dog-sitting full time and is available several days a week to help care for your pups if needed. She usually walks the pups on the days that I am working. 🌿 A calm and safe environment for your pups I have a fenced yard where dogs can stretch their legs safely, but I also love going for walks several times a day so they can explore and get plenty of exercise. The atmosphere at home is calm and caring — perfect for dogs who like to feel comfortable and relaxed. If your dog is used to being in a crate, that’s totally fine too — I’m happy to follow their routine so they feel right at home. 🐾

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Langford

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Langford on Rover is $27.75 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 806 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Langford. About 85% of Langford sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Langford stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Langford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
