About: I have taken care of many dogs, cats, rodents and reptiles since I was 10. Trusted by friends, family and neighbours to follow strict care plans and medication instructions I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to cuddle and care for your pets. My work schedule is often fluid so I can make sure I’m home whenever needed. I live in an apartment right on the Galloping Goose Trail that is perfect for long walks. I have a very social cat who loves playing with other cats and dogs, perfect if you are wanting to socialize your fur baby’s.

About: I am responsible, patient, and consistent with every dog I walk. I carefully follow your instructions, maintain a safe walking routine, and pay attention to your dog’s comfort and behavior. You can count on me for calm, dependable, and high-quality care. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I work during the day, but I keep my schedule organized and make sure pets have a calm, consistent environment with attention before and after work. On evenings and weekends, I’m able to spend more dedicated time with them. I focus on creating a calm and safe environment for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home. I follow each pet’s usual routine closely, including feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, playtime, and any special instructions. I understand that many cats need time and space to adjust, so I try to make them feel comfortable without overwhelming them. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages.

About: Growing up on a farm, I developed a deep love and respect for animals of all kinds. I've lived with cats my entire life, and my extended family always had dogs—so I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience caring for both. Whether it was feeding, bathing, or taking dogs on long walks during family gatherings, I’ve always been the go-to pet helper. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to keeping pets happy and healthy. I monitor water bowls daily, provide fresh water, and make sure dogs get plenty of exercise—whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood or a long hike to leave them happily tuckered out. I work a hybrid 8-4 schedule, so days I WFH can be worked in your space (if wanted) or I can come by on lunch breaks and after work. I am free after 5pm on days in office. On Friday's after 5pm and open all day on weekends and am more than welcome to staying to play and take outside In my own space, we have a balcony that my cat loves going outside on. While Bean does not have any harness training, I did put up garden fence edging to block her in so she cannot stick herself under the balcony. When she goes outside, I also go outside to ensure no funny business happens. My cat back home in Ontario with my parents (who is in my photo) was harness trained as we got her at 10 weeks. Gucci was harness trained as she was so small and wanted to always come outside, she wore a snag-free collar with a bell because she was so quiet. When she did come outside, we literally put a stake in the ground and put her leash around it so she could only go in a circle. as she got older we let her explore with us outside until we trusted her without the harness. Now that she's old, she just comes outside and lays in the sun but always has someone there to watch her as she still is a cat and has a love of thinking the grass is greener everywhere else.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, my parents bred bullmastiff and bulldogs. I spent alot of time raising and sleeping with the new puppys and moms, and learned alot about caring for them. I offer: Family setting with no cages, kid friendly as I have 2 children an 11yr old and 1 yr old Comfortable and Safe Environment: Your dog will have a cozy place to rest and plenty of space to play. Regular Updates: I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages about how your dog is doing. Customized Care: I cater to each dog's individual needs, whether it’s special dietary requirements, medications, or favorite activities. Drop off/pick up times are between 7am and 8pm Currently a stay at home mom to my young son and preteen daughter. Available to do longer stays, with relative flexibility, and the ability to get out for decent walks weather permitting. Though even if the weather isn't the greatest your dog's will still get out for a minimum of 15 mins every 2-4 hours dependent on dogs needs more or less as needed. I also host multiple dogs from different house, so all dogs must be friendly. Dogs do need to able to be left alone longer than an hour, up to a maxium of 2hr though this is not something that occurs frequently and will not be a daily thing. I dont leave frequently but do need to be able to go out shopping and run errands I do not have a fence yard, but I do have a lovely walking trail across from my house that leads up to both Glen lake and langford lake aswell as a porch for the dogs to go sunbath on during the day. I have an emergency vets across the street. Dogs have free range of the house and are allowed on the couch for cuddles.

Michelle's love of animals is readily apparent when you meet her. We have two timid cats with special needs (both formerly feral, one was abused), and Michelle paid very close attention to their care. She was patient and followed instruction on how to approach our two kitties. Part of their needs includes very tight time schedule for feedings and such, which she was always prompt to deliver. Her communication was always timely--typically within an hour of reaching out to her at the most--and thorough, giving me peace of mind while I was away. I can't think of enough positive things to say about her, so "5 stars" will have to do. She's great! I'll be booking her again.

About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!

About: My family owned a Golden Retriever for several years while I was growing up. As an adult, I have also helped care for family members’ dogs, including walks, feeding, and maintaining routines while owners were away. What I’m comfortable with: • Feeding and keeping up with their routines • Leashed walks and outdoor potty breaks • Playtime and companionship • Caring for calm to moderately active dogs • Providing consistent updates and photos I am patient, calm, and attentive, and I always follow your instructions closely to help your dogs feel safe and secure in my care. Your dog’s comfort and well-being is my top priority. Small Animal Care (Drop-In Visits): I also have experience caring for small animals such as rats, hamsters, and chinchillas. I have owned small animals (rats and hamsters) in the past and am comfortable with daily care routines including feeding, cage cleaning, enrichment, and health monitoring. While Rover does not list small animals as a separate service category, I’m happy to discuss drop-in visits for small pets with owners to see if I’m a good fit. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available for daytime, evening, and weekend drop-in visits. I can accommodate pets who need mid-day check-ins, consistent routines, or extra attention :) I update my Rover calendar regularly and am happy to discuss scheduling needs in advance. I follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet’s routine. I make sure doors and windows are secure, food and water are fresh, litter boxes or habitats are clean, and the environment is safe before and after each visit. I always double-check locks when entering and leaving. With cats, I respect their boundaries and take time to observe behaviour, appetite, and litter box habits. I provide playtime or quiet companionship depending on the cat’s personality and keep stress to a minimum by maintaining their normal routine. For dogs, I make sure leashes, collars, and harnesses are properly fitted before walks, avoid unsafe areas, and never allow off-leash time unless explicitly approved by the owner. I monitor energy levels and weather conditions to keep walks safe and comfortable. For small animals (such as rats, hamsters, or chinchillas), I focus on proper feeding, clean habitats, gentle handling when appropriate, and checking that enclosures are secure. I offer playtime if approved by you. I keep owners updated with messages and photos after each visit and will contact them immediately if I notice anything unusual. Building trust with you and your pet is very important to me, and I treat every pet and home with care and respect.

Arthur may be a discerning little monarch, but he absolutely approved of this sitter. They kept him calm, content, and fully in charge of his kingdom while we were away. Professional, kind, and clearly invested in Arthur’s well‑being. Highly recommend.

Paige was so great to communicate with! She was so patient with my shy pup Livia while I was away. This was Livia’s second experience with a pet sitter so there was some barking initially, but Paige did all the right things and Livia was calming down and taking treats from her in no time. We can’t wait to have Paige come visit again and gradually work our way up to a sleepover if she will have us! Thank you so much Paige for your kindness and patience! We really appreciate you!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Langford on Rover is $27.75 per visit (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 766 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Langford. About 83% of Langford sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Langford stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Langford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
