I currently work full time from Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm, so visits or walks need to be before 6am or after 3pm and flexibility is appreciated. Weekends allow for flexibility in times and durations of visits and exercise.

I need to know your pet's energy level, level of training, aggression issues (animal, food, toy, etc), personality quirks, special needs whether behavioural or medical, likes/dislikes, things to watch for. I am a lover of all dogs and cats and happy to provide specialized services for even some of the most challenging pets.
A typical day
I enjoy walking, hiking and biking so can adjust the exercise based on the needs and energy of the dog. I live near Royal Roads and Royal Bay/Esquimalt Lagoon for walking and hiking. I have biked and roller bladed with high energy dogs, done fetch and flirt pole in dog safe areas, hiked with a long lead for dogs who need work on their recall, and taken dogs swimming at nearby Glen or Langford Lakes for lower impact exercise. Your pet's safety is my top priority and a dog must win my absolute trust before I allow them off leash, with the consent of the owner as well.

I don't think there are adequate words to describe just how much I adore all animals, especially dogs and cats, but the animals sense it and I believe their owners see it in me as well. I am a lover of all dogs and also have extensive experience with strong, high-energy and reactive dogs. I previously directed a pit bull rescue here in Victoria which included fundraising, finding and supporting foster homes and volunteers, fostering dogs myself, and assessing dogs in shelters for our program. I have owned 5 dogs, two of which were dog-reactive so I have no issues walking and managing dogs like this and have creative ways to wear them out. I also have experience with resource guarding issues and keep a watchful eye out for this. Body language is everything with animals, and I make sure I am constantly watching for their nonverbal communication. I enjoy all breeds and sizes of dogs and have a good general knowledge of the traits of most of the common breeds. I pride myself in forming a bond with my dog clients whether it's a one-time walk or a repeat client, and each dog receives all the individualized love and attention they deserve. A current owner of a blended family of 3 cats, 1 Chihuahua, and 1 pit bull with 3 legs, I have extensive experience with all types and personalities when it comes to felines. I am attuned to cat body language and easily recognize when they're becoming over stimulated, or are stressed, looking for some time alone or whether they're looking for affection, and I happily accommodate all of them. I take great pride in my meticulous cat care and have managed to win over even the shyest of my Rover cat clients with patience, consistency and a calm, gentle manner.
