About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!
“This was my first time hiring a sitter for my 2 cats muppet and cheesus. I was so happy with the daily updates and photos she posted. It really put me at ease. I will definitely call on Sarah for the next trip ! Thank you for your care 💖”

About: We love all pets with any kind of personality. We always had pets with us during the last 20 years (dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, chicken, etc.). We love them all. We took care of our diabetic dog for 2 years (syringes insulin). We are used to senior dogs or puppies. We work full time Monday to Friday; sometimes we are home early or we have days off. We can take care of your pets every evening, afternoon, and most weekends. We have a small 2-bedroom single house where we let your dog go everywhere. Pets are allowed on the bed or couch with no restriction, and we have a small fenced backyard. We love taking walks with pets.
About: I have taken care of many dogs, cats, rodents and reptiles since I was 10. Trusted by friends, family and neighbours to follow strict care plans and medication instructions I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to cuddle and care for your pets. My work schedule is often fluid so I can make sure I’m home whenever needed. I live in an apartment right on the Galloping Goose Trail that is perfect for long walks. I have a very social cat who loves playing with other cats and dogs, perfect if you are wanting to socialize your fur baby’s.
“Emma is an amazing life saver. She took care of my 2 cats while my wife was in labour and we were stuck in hospital. She was available immediately and took great care of the guys. Shared lovely pictures of my cats while on her visits. I strongly recommend her as trust worthy pet sitter.”

About: I started my first animal care business at the tender age of 6, and have been caring for my own and others' animals ever since. I have experience with special needs and anxious pets, reptiles, rabbits, birds, even wild animals, as well as canines and felines. At home I just have Panda (my cat) and sometimes Thistle (my dog I co-parent). In the past have struck a cozy balance with the needs and desires of up to four animals (3 cats and a dog), and have met with success when introducing others into the mix. Panda and I are extensive travelers and have befriended many a furred friend on our adventures. I have also been walking dogs since I was a child and am very focused on making sure they have a thorough and enjoyable experience. I'm comfortable with dogs of any size, and can even probably walk your cat! (I take mine out regularly) In people's homes, I am very respectful of space and privacy and work to make my presence undetectable, except for the animal to whom I'm providing company to of course! I'm very good at following care instructions and am not afraid of light grooming, administering medications, etc. I spent some time volunteering with the SPCA doing feline socialization as well. I have dealt with special need purebreds, high anxiety rescues, and most things in between. I just really like animals! I want to make sure they're happy, healthy, and well cared for. I am a student finishing up my degree, a part time worker, and avid volunteer, so my schedule is all over the place, but luckily it's mostly under my control, so I can arrange it around a pet's needs. My home is set up to cater to the needs and comfort of my senior cat. I do have a large amount of houseplants, not all of which are pet- friendly, but these are largely out of reach and can be moved to a closed off room if necessary. I have several ways to separate animals if need be, am comfortable with crating, and generally being aware of potential hazards. At a client's house I am able to follow clear instructions and make sure proper protocols are followed (separate feeding, enclosures, making sure doors are open/ closed etc)
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 12, I have trained all 5 of my own dogs. I believe every animal needs all the best care! I have been reliable for walking and taking care of many friends and families dogs/cats and always make sure they get all the love! I’m currently working part-time, I’m available all mornings/afternoons to walk/look after your pet. I’m also available on weekends for any boarding or walks to make sure your pet is always well taken care of! I have a fenced yard as well as a very friendly senior yorkie. I am very familiar with dogs of any size and high energy dogs as well as any crate training.
About: I have 15 years caring for my own dogs, 10 years working in a pet store, and hands-on experience with agility puppy training. I’m confident handling high-energy breeds, enrichment, routines, and safety-focused care. I’ve previously had an Icelandic sheepdog and border collie mix, each with their own special needs such as extreme allergies, behavioural triggers and high prey drive. I know the challenges these breeds face and want to help you out as much as possible in easing their energy. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a masters student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to plan walks, check-ins, and sits consistently. I prioritize reliability, routine, and making time for each pet’s individual needs. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in every home I care for. I follow owner instructions closely, maintain routines, secure doors and leashes, and ensure pets feel comfortable and respected. I keep spaces clean, monitor behavior, and provide regular updates for peace of mind.
“This was my second time booking with Chantelle, and once again everything was fantastic! She took wonderful care of the boys, kept me updated, and gave me complete peace of mind while we were away. It's such a relief knowing they're in such caring and reliable hands. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend!”

“Kaitlyn took excellent care of our two cats while we were away for two weeks. She provided updates with photos for each visit, and was even able to make friends with the one who is really shy and hides from anyone other than family 😻 We could tell that she genuinely cared about their well-being and was very kind to them. Thank you Kaitlyn!”

“Paige was amazing with Henry! She took such great care of him and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. I grew up with 3 indoor cats and caring for my grandparents German Shepherds. I fostered many dogs and cats with my roommates in University, and worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 2+ years. I’ve rescued a senior dog from the SPCA (who since passed) and now have a 3.5yr Rottweiler. My schedule is extremely flexible and I can make myself available at anytime needed to provide care for your pets. A typical day with my dog consists morning potty, breakfast, long walk, indoor mental play time, supper, outside potty and more play time. It’s not uncommon to go for off-leash walks in a park. Another activity we enjoy is mental enrichment - either a mind game with treats or frozen kong. I have a condo in Westhills. There are many parks and trails nearby. I also have a SUV I use to take the dogs on adventures to the beach, hikes, etc. As for care in your home; I like to maintain whatever schedule you have!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Langford
Jason was amazing to our dogs, we were so worried to go on vacations and leave our dogs behind but Jason was truly great. The dogs had the best time playing and going out with him, it was a fun time for them. He always updated us and we felt that they were really well taken care off. We will definitely rebook next time we are away

I can’t recommend her enough! She accommodated me at the very last minute and made the whole experience stress-free. She sent daily updates and photos, and it was clear my dogs were happy and well cared for. Knowing they were in such good hands allowed me to truly enjoy my time away. I would definitely book with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
