About: My experience over the years with dogs has been with a variety of different breeds, ages and behaviors. I volunteered fostering dogs at the Victoria Humane Society 2 yrs ago (2022) where I gained a lot of experience with different temperaments and ages/mixed breeds. When they were adopted, it broke my heart so I adopted a beagle, Copper, in 2023. The highlight of my experience was working for Island Miniature Schnauzers outside of Sooke in 2016 for 8 months. My duties were: Home Life training for adopted puppies. This provided the new owners one week of me training the puppy at my home. This included walking on leash for the first time, crate training, schedule for house training, socializing with other dogs and people to name a few.. I provided video and pictures to the new owners to keep them up to date on progress. I also took older Shnauzers who were used to farm life and adapted them to urban life by going on leashed walks, greeting new dogs and people. I also learned to groom puppies and older dogs as well. You can see in all my photo's with the Schnauzer puppies and dogs that I trained while working for IMS. Over the years I have taken care of friends/family dogs and cats at their home. I treat all animals like my very own. I massage them, comfort them them and just love them up! I have a nice sized fenced in backyard for play. There are many trails, beaches and lakes that we go on each day. I'd like to meet first to see if Copper and I are a good fit for you and your fur baby. Please see my IG account for most of the dogs in my care starting in 2016. (copper_the_beagle_trofimuk) Depending on your dogs level of care, adjusting the cost is a flexibility I offer. We walk once or 2x a day and I have a nice sized backyard. Games and training time are incorporated into our day. I aim to make it as balanced and fun as possible. I offer 2 walks a day. There are many places to walk close to my house & the galloping goose trail is behind my gate. My backyard is a good size for wrestling, running and playing. I am currently revamping my yard to make it more dog friendly. Naps and downtime are a must for a happy healthy dog. The dogs sleep with me unless they need to be in a crate.

I am a stay at home mom and Travis works from home 3 out 5 days, so your pup will never be lonely. About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. I grew up with 3 indoor cats and caring for my grandparents German Shepherds. I fostered many dogs and cats with my roommates in University, and worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 2+ years. I’ve rescued a senior dog from the SPCA (who since passed) and now have a 3.5yr Rottweiler. My schedule is extremely flexible and I can make myself available at anytime needed to provide care for your pets. A typical day with my dog consists morning potty, breakfast, long walk, indoor mental play time, supper, outside potty and more play time. It’s not uncommon to go for off-leash walks in a park. Another activity we enjoy is mental enrichment - either a mind game with treats or frozen kong. I have a condo in Westhills. There are many parks and trails nearby. I also have a SUV I use to take the dogs on adventures to the beach, hikes, etc. As for care in your home; I like to maintain whatever schedule you have!
About: Hello, we’re Karly and Brent. We offer a safe and welcoming home environment for dogs, in our ground-level suite with direct, walk-out access to a fully fenced backyard, which allows us to have exclusive door-to-yard access for seamless potty breaks and supervised playtime. We are conveniently located just five minutes from Thetis Lake and Mill Hill, providing excellent opportunities for outdoor activity and exploration. Animals have always been an important part of our lives. Karly grew up with a loyal yellow Labrador, and Brent was raised in a home filled with beloved family pets. Today, we share our home with Ace, our beautiful five-year-old Goldendoodle. We have dedicated significant time to his training and development. Ace is a well-behaved and very social. He loves all other dogs and animals. We both work from home Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which allows us to provide consistent supervision and companionship. Each morning we go for a 30 to 45 minute walk and in the evenings we prioritize walking ace for 1 to 2 hours. On weekends, we spend much of our time exploring the mountains and trails of Vancouver Island, often seeking out new local hikes. We truly enjoy welcoming other dogs into our home. Socialization, regular exercise, and individualized care are priorities for us. Our goal is to ensure that every dog in our care feels safe, relaxed, well-exercised, and completely at home. I am currently working full time 8:15 to 4:30pm with a flex day every other Monday. I am available in the mornings before work or the evenings after work as well as on Flex-Mondays, and Saturday and Sunday all day. We live in a beautiful 2 bedroom garden suite in the lower half of a home we own with our family. Our home has full walk out access to a fenced backyard. We are also a 5 minute walk to the Thetis lake and Mill Hill, and a 5 minute drive to a dog a park.
About: I have owned cats since I was a child and been around dogs for many years. I work closely with a family who have a Golden doodle who I love very much. I am great at following direction on your training cues and guidelines. I will love your animal as you do. I am looking to fill my schedule to accommodate your holidays, I work 830-3 till end of June then off for the summer months, before continuing my Monday to Friday job. I will offer care at pets home, and follow the owners rules of picking up after them and caring for your animal as the owner does.

Throughout the day, I take regular breaks for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, and lots of affection. My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent attention, making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and never left alone for long periods. I enjoy having pets around, and I treat every one of them as part of the family while they're with me.
