“Paulina was fantastic with our cat, Rambo! This was our first time getting a sitter. She was responsive, easy to communicate with, and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear she genuinely cares for animals, and we could tell Rambo was comfortable and well looked after during her visits. He even warmed up to her quickly, which says a lot! We had a wonderful experience and would happily book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: Growing up on a farm, I developed a deep love and respect for animals of all kinds. I've lived with cats my entire life, and my extended family always had dogs—so I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience caring for both. Whether it was feeding, bathing, or taking dogs on long walks during family gatherings, I’ve always been the go-to pet helper. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to keeping pets happy and healthy. I monitor water bowls daily, provide fresh water, and make sure dogs get plenty of exercise—whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood or a long hike to leave them happily tuckered out. I work a hybrid 8-4 schedule, so days I WFH can be worked in your space (if wanted) or I can come by on lunch breaks and after work. I am free after 5pm on days in office. On Friday's after 5pm and open all day on weekends and am more than welcome to staying to play and take outside In my own space, we have a balcony that my cat loves going outside on. While Bean does not have any harness training, I did put up garden fence edging to block her in so she cannot stick herself under the balcony. When she goes outside, I also go outside to ensure no funny business happens. My cat back home in Ontario with my parents (who is in my photo) was harness trained as we got her at 10 weeks. Gucci was harness trained as she was so small and wanted to always come outside, she wore a snag-free collar with a bell because she was so quiet. When she did come outside, we literally put a stake in the ground and put her leash around it so she could only go in a circle. as she got older we let her explore with us outside until we trusted her without the harness. Now that she's old, she just comes outside and lays in the sun but always has someone there to watch her as she still is a cat and has a love of thinking the grass is greener everywhere else.
“Jason was amazing to our dogs, we were so worried to go on vacations and leave our dogs behind but Jason was truly great. The dogs had the best time playing and going out with him, it was a fun time for them. He always updated us and we felt that they were really well taken care off. We will definitely rebook next time we are away”

“Airan is FANTASTIC!! SO good with our dog!! Also a lovely person to chat with and knows a lot about dogs/ animal behaviours. I do recommend her services and I will continue to use her as our preferred rover.”

“Amy has been our go-to cat sitter ever since we moved to this area and has taken incredible care of our 2 boys every time that we are away. She is trustworthy, professional, and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend her services!”

“Wonderful experience with Jane’s drop in visits for our little feline family. She clearly cares for animals, taking the time to earn their trust, and made sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. Great communication. Would happily and unreservedly recommend.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life and have years of experience helping my partner with dog-sitting. I’m patient, reliable, and love spending time with all kinds of dogs — from energetic puppies to calm seniors. I offer in-home dog sitting, dog boarding at your place or mine, and daily walks. Whether your pup needs playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I currently work full-time from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, so I can care for dogs who are comfortable being alone during that time. I’m fully available on weekends to spend the whole day with them. My partner, does dog-sitting full time and is available several days a week to help care for your pups if needed. She usually walks the pups on the days that I am working. 🌿 A calm and safe environment for your pups I have a fenced yard where dogs can stretch their legs safely, but I also love going for walks several times a day so they can explore and get plenty of exercise. The atmosphere at home is calm and caring — perfect for dogs who like to feel comfortable and relaxed. If your dog is used to being in a crate, that’s totally fine too — I’m happy to follow their routine so they feel right at home. 🐾
“We had such a wonderful experience with our cat sitter. She was incredibly communicative, attentive, and took amazing care of our cats. She even managed to win over our most shy kitty on her very last visit — no small feat! We would absolutely be happy to book her again and highly recommend her to others.”

“Emily was amazing! I felt super confident knowing she was coming to check in on my kitty. I got lots of photos and updates, and always got a reply within the hour. Will def be booking with her again and highly recommend!”

About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!
“Emma is an amazing life saver. She took care of my 2 cats while my wife was in labour and we were stuck in hospital. She was available immediately and took great care of the guys. Shared lovely pictures of my cats while on her visits. I strongly recommend her as trust worthy pet sitter.”

About: We love all pets with any kind of personality. We always had pets with us during the last 20 years (dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, chicken, etc.). We love them all. Pets are allowed on the bed or couch with no restriction, and we have a small fenced backyard. We love taking walks with pets.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
