About: Growing up on a farm, I developed a deep love and respect for animals of all kinds. I've lived with cats my entire life, and my extended family always had dogs—so I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience caring for both. Whether it was feeding, bathing, or taking dogs on long walks during family gatherings, I’ve always been the go-to pet helper. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to keeping pets happy and healthy. I monitor water bowls daily, provide fresh water, and make sure dogs get plenty of exercise—whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood or a long hike to leave them happily tuckered out. I work a hybrid 8-4 schedule, so days I WFH can be worked in your space (if wanted) or I can come by on lunch breaks and after work. I am free after 5pm on days in office. On Friday's after 5pm and open all day on weekends and am more than welcome to staying to play and take outside In my own space, we have a balcony that my cat loves going outside on. While Bean does not have any harness training, I did put up garden fence edging to block her in so she cannot stick herself under the balcony. When she goes outside, I also go outside to ensure no funny business happens. My cat back home in Ontario with my parents (who is in my photo) was harness trained as we got her at 10 weeks. Gucci was harness trained as she was so small and wanted to always come outside, she wore a snag-free collar with a bell because she was so quiet. When she did come outside, we literally put a stake in the ground and put her leash around it so she could only go in a circle. as she got older we let her explore with us outside until we trusted her without the harness. Now that she's old, she just comes outside and lays in the sun but always has someone there to watch her as she still is a cat and has a love of thinking the grass is greener everywhere else.
About: I am responsible, patient, and consistent with every dog I walk. I carefully follow your instructions, maintain a safe walking routine, and pay attention to your dog’s comfort and behavior. You can count on me for calm, dependable, and high-quality care. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I work during the day, but I keep my schedule organized and make sure pets have a calm, consistent environment with attention before and after work. On evenings and weekends, I’m able to spend more dedicated time with them. I focus on creating a calm and safe environment for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home. I follow each pet’s usual routine closely, including feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, playtime, and any special instructions. I understand that many cats need time and space to adjust, so I try to make them feel comfortable without overwhelming them. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages.

“We had such a wonderful experience with our cat sitter. She was incredibly communicative, attentive, and took amazing care of our cats. She even managed to win over our most shy kitty on her very last visit — no small feat! We would absolutely be happy to book her again and highly recommend her to others.”

About: I have taken care of many dogs, cats, rodents and reptiles since I was 10. I have a very social cat who loves playing with other cats and dogs, perfect if you are wanting to socialize your fur baby’s.

About: My family owned a Golden Retriever for several years while I was growing up. As an adult, I have also helped care for family members’ dogs, including walks, feeding, and maintaining routines while owners were away. What I’m comfortable with: • Feeding and keeping up with their routines • Leashed walks and outdoor potty breaks • Playtime and companionship • Caring for calm to moderately active dogs • Providing consistent updates and photos I am patient, calm, and attentive, and I always follow your instructions closely to help your dogs feel safe and secure in my care. Your dog’s comfort and well-being is my top priority. Small Animal Care (Drop-In Visits): I also have experience caring for small animals such as rats, hamsters, and chinchillas. I have owned small animals (rats and hamsters) in the past and am comfortable with daily care routines including feeding, cage cleaning, enrichment, and health monitoring. While Rover does not list small animals as a separate service category, I’m happy to discuss drop-in visits for small pets with owners to see if I’m a good fit. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available for daytime, evening, and weekend drop-in visits. I can accommodate pets who need mid-day check-ins, consistent routines, or extra attention :) I update my Rover calendar regularly and am happy to discuss scheduling needs in advance. I follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet’s routine. I make sure doors and windows are secure, food and water are fresh, litter boxes or habitats are clean, and the environment is safe before and after each visit. I always double-check locks when entering and leaving. With cats, I respect their boundaries and take time to observe behaviour, appetite, and litter box habits. I provide playtime or quiet companionship depending on the cat’s personality and keep stress to a minimum by maintaining their normal routine. For dogs, I make sure leashes, collars, and harnesses are properly fitted before walks, avoid unsafe areas, and never allow off-leash time unless explicitly approved by the owner. I monitor energy levels and weather conditions to keep walks safe and comfortable. For small animals (such as rats, hamsters, or chinchillas), I focus on proper feeding, clean habitats, gentle handling when appropriate, and checking that enclosures are secure. I offer playtime if approved by you. I keep owners updated with messages and photos after each visit and will contact them immediately if I notice anything unusual. Building trust with you and your pet is very important to me, and I treat every pet and home with care and respect.
About: I grew up with lots of dogs, and bunnies too. I have cared for dogs my whole life as my mom took in strays. I am very attentive and personable with animals and they can sense that. I believe exercise is really important for an animals wellbeing. Also, dogs need lots of attention and social interaction so that they can thrive in their families and with other dogs. I'm in great shape so I can keep up with the gentle giants! I am also a proud mom so I am very nurturing and attentive to others needs. I'm really excited to meet some furry pals. Please do feel free to call me with any questions you may have, I'm happy to chat! Thanks. Cheers. Stephanie
About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!
“Amy has been our go-to cat sitter ever since we moved to this area and has taken incredible care of our 2 boys every time that we are away. She is trustworthy, professional, and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend her services!”

About: I have lifelong experience with dogs, having grown up with both retrievers and an English Mastiff. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and energy levels and understand how to adjust handling, walks, and enrichment based on the individual dog. Through my work at Petland and my volunteering at the Calgary Humane Society, I’ve gained experience with a wide range of temperaments, from high-energy dogs to those who need a slower, more reassuring approach. I focus on consistency, positive interactions, and meeting each dog where they’re at. I recently moved to Langford from Calgary in August and am hoping to do Rover full-time for the next few months to see how it goes. I have a pretty open schedule right now, so I’m available most days and times and can be pretty flexible with your pet’s routine. I may take on some online college classes in the future, but for now pet care is my main focus. I care for pets in their own home by following their routine as closely as possible. I take the time to understand each pet’s needs, personality, and comfort level, whether that means active play, calm companionship, or giving them space. I make sure they are fed properly, have fresh water, get appropriate exercise, and feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I’m attentive to behaviour changes and always prioritize a low-stress, respectful approach.

We left on a week trip and were lucky to find Megan. She was punctual great with communication and did everything we had asked plus more. Both our kitties were well fed and had clean boxes when we returned home. Would recommend and know who we will reach out to for our next trip.
Ryan is an awesome sitter and such a nice guy! This was our second time having Ryan look after our shy kitty Zoe. The first picture he sent us we could tell she remembered him because she was on his lap and completely relaxed with him. Thank you Ryan for taking such great care of our Zoe again!

Arthur may be a discerning little monarch, but he absolutely approved of this sitter. They kept him calm, content, and fully in charge of his kingdom while we were away. The thoughtful updates and photos were genuinely reassuring, and their attention to detail — along with the way they consistently went above and beyond — made a real difference. Professional, kind, and clearly invested in Arthur’s well‑being. Highly recommend.

Michelle took great care of our cats — her check-ins were on time, and our cats were so at ease with her. Really appreciated her care, especially with our cats who have special needs. We were able to relax while we were away, knowing our cats were well taken care of.

Wonderful experience with Jane’s drop in visits for our little feline family. She clearly cares for animals, taking the time to earn their trust, and made sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. Great communication. Would happily and unreservedly recommend.
