“Michelle was absolutely wonderful with my high-energy working dog! She was communicative, send awesome pictures throughout the stay, and was just wonderful in general. Thank you Michelle!”

“Very happy with the sleepover, will recommend! I had been worried due to my boy being bigger at 70lbs but we had a good greet and meet. Thank you for a wonderful stay”

“We went to New Zealand for 6 weeks. Alisa looked after Lucy and sent us photos. Alisa communicated often and sent us photo’s of Lucy relaxing in the house, playing with Haiko and going on walks. If I asked any questions, Alisa responded quickly. I knew that Lucy was well looked after, and because of Alisa’s care we were never worried and could enjoy our time away. I will only use Alisa and family in future to look after Lucy. I recommend Alisa highly.”

“Kelsey took wonderful care of our Pippi. I appreciated the regular updates and good communication while we were away and hope to have her (and Frankie!) take care of Pippi again :)”

“Stine took great care of our Fergus, sending lots and lots of photos and updates and taking him on lots of hikes. He was so happy to be there for the 5 days we left him and got to play non-stop with her dog Brodie. Her and her husband Walt obvious took care of Fergus as if he was their own. They were also very accommodating when our flight got re-routed and we arrived a couple of hours late. We would definitely book again with Stine without hesitation”

“Another great experience with Jena. She's great to work with. Our pup loves spending time with her, and we trust her totally with our little dog. This means we can always rest assured when our pup stays over. We were very lucky on this occasion that Jena was available at short notice. She made a great effort to help us out. Her communication is always excellent. Thanks Jena! See you soon.”

“We are so lucky to have found Criofan. Our dog had the time of his life roaming free on her fenced property, swimming and playing with other dogs. She took excellent care of Boris and we both highly recommend her and hope Boris has another opportunity to stay on “the farm” as we called it. She was very easy to work with, flexible, posy and communicative, sending us pics every day. Thank you, Criofan!!”

“We love Kirsten!! She is definitely one of the best sitters on rover. She was so accommodating with our pickup and drop off requests. Our 1.5year old dog Watson had the best weekend at her place, she was in constant touch with us, kept us updated with photos and I could see that my dog is being handled with lot of love and care. I do hope she can become my go to sitter for Watson.”

“We were so appreciative of the great care Rachel and her family gave our girl Holly while we were out of town. She sent us lots of photos while Holly was there and that really helped my kids see that Holly was safe and having fun. We would absolutely love to book with Rachel again!”

“Daisy and family were great with Lucas! Daisy offered time for a meet and greet beforehand which was helpful. Lucas seemed to have a great time and he was cared for well. We’d happily recommend Daisy. Thanks for taking great care of Lucas!”

“Linda was amazing. Her boarding operation is clean and organized. She looked after our three Schnauzers for a week, and they all came home healthy and happy. Linda made an extra effort to work with our youngest Schnauzer who is anxious and had never been boarded before… we were so grateful for her patience with him. I would not hesitate to recommend Linda for boarding services and I hope she will have our three back again next time!”

“Michelle took such wonderful care of my dog, Epsilon. She treated her with the same love, kindness, and attention that I do, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with lots of photos and videos, and it was so reassuring to see Epsilon looking so happy, whether she was enjoying time outside, perched at the window watching the world go by, or curled up for snuggles. It was obvious she felt comfortable, safe, and well cared for. When I picked her up, she was a happy, relaxed girl, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely trust Michelle to look after Epsilon again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, attentive pet sitter!”

“Brady has been to Iris’s many times and enjoys going there. He gets plenty of walks and attention. She is also good about adjusting pick up times if travel arrangements change.”

“Fabulous, Pom Pom was in good and loving hands. Kaori sent us many updates and great photos and we couldn't be happier. Pom Pom loved her visit. We will utilize Kaori's great services in the future in a heartbeat. Thank you!”

“Natalie was great!! Super easy communication and very flexible about drop off and pickup. Milo is a quirky dog and Natalie was very easy with him. She sent pictures of their adventures and stayed in touch throughout Milo’s stay. Milo did not seem stressed or anxious and I would absolutely book Natalie again. Highly recommend.”

“This was our first Rover experience and Lauren was fantastic! She has excellent communication and I immediately felt at ease with our initial meet up. She sent us regular updates and pictures and definitely showed our energetic dog a great time with walks, cuddles and lots of ball throwing!! Thank you Lauren!”

Amelia, Thomas and Biscuit all have such lovely calm energy, as well as in their home. Dottie received wonderful care while in the care of them. I don’t think Dottie wanted to leave! Thank you for providing such a stress free boarding experience with lots of updates. ❤️

Karly and Brent took such good care of our King Charles Cavaliers this week while we were away. We really appreciated the photos and could tell the girls felt right at home with them. Ace is such a lovely guy and it’s nice the girls have a new friend. :) Thank you so much Karly and Brent!

Rose was, and continues to be, an absolute gem. From the moment we entrusted Kuma to her care, we knew he was in wonderful hands. Throughout his stay, Rose provided regular updates, photographs, and videos, giving us much-needed peace of mind while we were away. Her honesty, warmth, kindness, and genuine love for animals came through in every interaction. She didn’t simply “watch” Kuma — she welcomed him into her home, cared for him, cuddled him, played with him, and made him feel completely at ease. Perhaps the best review came directly from Kuma himself! When we arrived to pick him up, he greeted us with a few kisses and snuggles…and then promptly turned around and went back inside to continue playing with Misty. We couldn’t have asked for a better sign that he had felt happy, safe, loved, and very much at home. Finding someone you can trust with a beloved member of your family is incredibly important, and Rose gave us complete confidence from beginning to end. We are so grateful for the exceptional care she gave Kuma and would recommend her without hesitation. Five stars simply aren’t enough. Thank you, Rose, for loving our boy so well. Kuma is already looking forward to his next visit with you and Misty!
Kate was awesome. This was our first time leaving our nervous dog at a sitters home and Kate was so great and giving lots of detailed updates and any concerns she had she brought to our attention immediately. Nori seems to really love Kate and bonded with her well. We would book Kate again in a heartbeat.

This was my dog’s second stay with Megan, and I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. When we arrived for the second visit, my dog was so excited to see her and couldn’t wait to go, which speaks volumes about how comfortable and happy he is with her. She’s kind, trustworthy, communicative, and takes such great care of him. I have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands!

Monica and her family are amazing ! She put so much love and care into watching Lehu. She sent us multiple updates a day and was quick to respond. Lehu got many walks, hikes, and trips to the dog park. This was the first time we used a sitter, so it was comforting to know we could trust our dog with Monica. I hope she is free next time we need a sitter 💛

We are so incredibly pleased with the care Nancy gave our beloved Brownie while our family was abroad visiting relatives. She took care of him for almost 40 days, and knowing he was with such a lovely family gave us complete peace of mind. Brownie got along so well with her own dog and she sent us daily photos and updates, which meant so much to us. He was so well cared for, and when we picked him up, she even surprised him with a bag of treats and a brand-new toy to replace his old one that had broken—such a thoughtful gesture that she absolutely didn’t have to make. Nancy is genuinely kind, caring, and wonderful with dogs. We wholeheartedly recommend her and will definitely be reaching out to her again the next time we’re away. Thank you, Nancy, for taking such amazing care of our sweet Brownie!

Olivia is amazing! She took a last minute booking for the night and my dog had the best time! George is typically a shy dog but seemed to warm up to Olivia right away. She was super communicative and I felt 100% comfortable leaving my fur baby with her. Thank you Olivia!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
