My husband and I both partially work from home, which gives us the flexibility to provide lots of attention and care to visiting pups throughout the day. We alternate our office days so someone is always home! Pet sitting isn’t just something we do—it’s a fun and rewarding way to spend time with adorable dogs while giving our own pups some new friends to play with! Since our dogs are a big part of our life, we focus on finding clients whose pups fit well with our laid-back “pack.” Creating a calm, happy, and balanced environment is always my top priority. Our daily routine naturally includes morning sniff breaks, cozy downtime while we work, and short afternoon walks, so visiting dogs easily settle into the rhythm of our home. Whether your pup prefers cuddling up on the couch or heading out for a stroll, we’re happy to match their routine and needs. I love incorporating pet care into my day—it’s not just a job; it’s something I genuinely enjoy!

As someone with over a decade of experience caring for dogs, I make it my goal to create a warm, welcoming, and stress-free environment where your pup feels like this is their home away from home. From cozy spots for lounging to supervised playtime in our fenced yard, I strive to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved during their stay. I also know how important it is for pet parents to feel connected while they’re away, so I make it a priority to send frequent updates and plenty of cute photos. Whether it’s a snapshot of your pup enjoying a walk, playing with toys, or curled up for snuggles, I want you to feel completely at ease knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for!

Information Jena E. would like to know about your pet
1. Has your dog stayed with a sitter before? How did they handle it? 2. Does your dog get along well with other dogs? 3. Any history of aggression, separation anxiety, or destructive behavior? 4. Does your dog have any special medical needs or medications? 5. What’s the most important thing I should know about your dog’s care or personality?
A typical day
We love tailoring activities to fit each pup’s personality and energy level! If your dog enjoys walks, we’re happy to explore local trails like the Galloping Goose, Royal Roads University’s beautiful grounds, or nearby parks like Latoria Creek. We’re surrounded by great walking spots and love getting outside when we can! However, we’re also mindful about balancing activity levels. If your dog needs more exercise than our resident pups, my partner often takes guest dogs out for longer walks or playtime while I stay back to keep things calm and cozy for our crew. For pups who prefer snuggles over sprints, couch cuddles and lounging in the backyard are always on the table. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a leisurely stroll, or just relaxing together, we make sure each dog feels happy and engaged while they’re here!

Pet care experience
Hi there! We’re so excited you’re considering us to be your pup’s home-away-from-home while you’re traveling! As proud dog parents to two long-haired dachshunds who are more like kids than pets, we completely understand how stressful it can be to leave your fur-baby with someone new. That’s why we go above and beyond to make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and right at home while they’re with us. We have a fenced-in yard for playtime (always supervised!) and a spacious, cozy home for lounging. Both my partner and I work remotely, so we’re home all day and able to give your dog plenty of attention. It’s worth mentioning that our home is generally pretty calm, thanks to our laid-back dachshunds. If your pup has very high energy or requires a more fast-paced environment, we are probably not the best fit—but we’re always happy to chat and see if it could work! We generally only host one dog at a time unless both pups are regulars and we know that they will all get along well - fit and fun are more important to us than crowding our home with bonus dogs to make a few bucks! About Me: I’ve been dog-sitting through Rover and DogVacay for over 15 years, and I absolutely love it. Our dogs enjoy having new friends to play with, and we love building connections with fellow dog lovers. Before booking, I ask new clients to complete a “Getting to Know You” questionnaire and schedule a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone’s a good fit. Our Approach: We typically only take one dog at a time, unless the second is a repeat guest doggo that we know and trust. While we truly love dogs, we’re mindful not to create a zoo-like environment—our focus is on providing a calm and happy experience for your pup. If you’re concerned about other dogs staying with us during your booking, just let me know so we can discuss details and ensure your dog’s comfort and safety. I follow your care routine, whether that’s daily walks, snuggles, or a mix of both! Our typical schedule includes morning sniff breaks, downtime while we work, and afternoon/evening walks or yard time. If your dog needs frequent high-energy play sessions or long adventures, we might not be the best match—but I’m always happy to discuss your dog’s needs in detail. A Home Away From Home: Our house is completely dog-friendly. Pups are welcome (and encouraged!) to hang out on the couch if that’s something they’re allowed to do at home. We keep things tidy and dog-proofed, with plenty of toys and beds available—because your dog deserves to feel as comfortable as they do at home. If you’re looking for a calm, loving environment where your pup can relax, play, and feel at home, we’d love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to set up a meet-and-greet—we can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member!

Jena was everything and more!! She was super accommodating and amazing at providing pics and updates. My guy loved her dogs and has come home ready for a big nap! Wouldn’t hesitate to book in again, thanks again Jena.

Perfect.

Fabulous care for Luna and Milo - thanks Jena.

Jena is an absolutely lovely human who loved Lewis so much and treated him just like her own doggo. She sent regular updates and even provided some trip for our little puppy going forward. What a wonderful experience for both us and Lewis.
