Cozy loving home away from home 🐶
Hello, we’re Karly and Brent. We offer a safe and welcoming home environment for dogs, in our ground-level suite with direct, walk-out access to a fully fenced backyard, which allows us to have exclusive door-to-yard access for seamless potty breaks and supervised playtime. We are conveniently located just five minutes from Thetis Lake and Mill Hill, providing excellent opportunities for outdoor activity and exploration. Animals have always been an important part of our lives. Karly grew up with a loyal yellow Labrador, and Brent was raised in a home filled with beloved family pets. Today, we share our home with Ace, our beautiful five-year-old Goldendoodle. We have dedicated significant time to his training and development. Ace is a well-behaved and very social. He loves all other dogs and animals. We both work from home Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which allows us to provide consistent supervision and companionship. Each morning we go for a 30 to 45 minute walk and in the evenings we prioritize walking ace for 1 to 2 hours. On weekends, we spend much of our time exploring the mountains and trails of Vancouver Island, often seeking out new local hikes. We truly enjoy welcoming other dogs into our home. Socialization, regular exercise, and individualized care are priorities for us. Our goal is to ensure that every dog in our care feels safe, relaxed, well-exercised, and completely at home.

Kaley and Brent were so friendly and fun! Willow had a blast with Ace, and we recieved lots of photos and updates. We loved that Karly and Brent included Willowbin their active lifestyle! Highly recommend!!!
We left our little boy with them for a couple of days, and they did an excellent job. He made a new friend with their dog, looked really happy when we picked him up, and we had good communication throughout. Thank you so much
We were so thankful for the care that Karly and Brent gave to our Coco. We received daily updates and pictures of their activities and hikes. Coco looked well and we could tell that she had really bonded with them. When we got to their place they were ready for us, even dismantled the crate! Bless them!! Thanks so much.

Schedule
I am currently working full time 8:15 to 4:30pm with a flex day every other Monday. I am available in the mornings before work or the evenings after work as well as on Flex-Mondays, and Saturday and Sunday all day.

We live in a beautiful 2 bedroom garden suite in the lower half of a home we own with our family. Our home has full walk out access to a fenced backyard. We are also a 5 minute walk to the Thetis lake and Mill Hill, and a 5 minute drive to a dog a park.

A typical day
Our daily routine is structured, engaging, and centered around the well-being of the dogs in our care. Each morning begins with a walk to provide exercise and mental stimulation, followed by breakfast and a calm transition into the day. Because we both work from home, dogs receive consistent supervision, companionship, and regular outdoor breaks in our fully fenced backyard throughout the day. We incorporate enrichment activities such as interactive play, light training exercises, and social time, tailoring activities to suit each dog’s energy level, temperament, and individual needs. In the evening, we prioritize a longer walk—typically one to two hours—taking advantage of the nearby trails and green spaces. Weekends often include extended outdoor adventures or hikes, depending on each dog’s comfort, fitness level, and routine. Our focus each day is to provide a healthy balance of physical activity, mental engagement, rest, and attentive care, ensuring every dog feels secure, comfortable, and well cared for in our home
