Experienced Reliable pet care ❤️
My experience over the years with dogs has been with a variety of different breeds, ages and behaviors. I volunteered fostering dogs at the Victoria Humane Society in 2022 where I gained a lot of experience with different temperaments and ages/mixed breeds. The highlight of my experience was working for Island Miniature Schnauzers outside of Sooke in 2016 for 8 months. My duties were: Home Life training for adopted puppies. This provided the new owners one week of me training the puppy at my home. This included walking on leash for the first time, crate training, schedule for house training, socializing with other dogs and people to name a few.. I provided video and pictures to the new owners to keep them up to date on progress. I also took older Shnauzers who were used to farm life and adapted them to urban life by going on leashed walks, greeting new dogs and people. I also learned to groom puppies and older dogs as well. You can see in all my photo's with the Schnauzer puppies and dogs that I trained while working for IMS. Over the years I have taken care of friends/family dogs and cats at their home. I treat all animals like my very own. I massage them, comfort them them and just love them up! I have a nice sized backyard that is fully fenced for play. There are many trails, beaches and lakes that we go on each day. Depending on your dogs level of care, adjusting the cost is a flexibility I offer.

Michelle took such wonderful care of my dog, Epsilon. She treated her with the same love, kindness, and attention that I do, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with lots of photos and videos, and it was so reassuring to see Epsilon looking so happy, whether she was enjoying time outside, perched at the window watching the world go by, or curled up for snuggles. It was obvious she felt comfortable, safe, and well cared for. When I picked her up, she was a happy, relaxed girl, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely trust Michelle to look after Epsilon again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, attentive pet sitter!
Michelle is an outstanding caregiver. She had an immediate rapport with our 2 dogs and sent timely photos and videos. We felt confident they were in very good hands while we were away. All was clearly well when we picked them up.

Disco had the best time with Michelle and her dog Copper. Michelle was really great at communicating, flexible with us and gave us great updates, photos and videos while we were away. When we went to pick Disco up it was clear that they had bonded very well. We look forward to dog sitting with them again in the future and no doubt Disco is also looking forward to that.
Michelle and her lovely pup Copper provided loving (and very fun) care for my pup! Thanks so much Michelle. I'm so glad our dogs enjoyed each other so much!

Schedule
I am retired and am home most of the day while caring for your pet. We walk once or 2x a day and I have a nice sized backyard. Games and training time are incorporated into our day. I aim to make it as balanced and fun as possible.

Safety, trust & environment
I offer 2 walks a day. There are many places to walk close to my home & the galloping goose trail is behind my gate. My backyard is a good size for running and zoomies. Naps and downtime are a must for a happy healthy dog. The dogs sleep with me unless they need to be in a crate.
Pets
A typical day
I'm pretty much hands on with your dog for the whole stay. I have a car so have access to many trails, forests, parks and hikes to the ocean. There are so many places in the Westshore area!
