“Tara had a wonderful stay with Maryanne and her family, including her own fur baby. She loved sharing the couch with them and I hear hogged the space in front of the fireplace (sorry about that!). I really appreciated seeing the photos of her enjoying her time there. Thank you for taking such good care of my girl!”

About: I have had cats or dogs my whole life. I’d love to make your travel easier by caring for your beloved fur babies while you are away from home. I work from home and can rearrange my schedule during the day to stop in and take your pets out for potty breaks or a quick walk or cuddles. I don’t currently have pets in my home, so if your pets overnight here, they will have my full attention. I live in Sidney very close to walking paths and parks for walks and playtime.
“Ting and her family took wonderful care of Lewis. I received regular videos and photos to show me how much fun Lewis was having with her dog Cookie. It was easy to see how happy Lewis was! Lewis had lots of walks, a hike, and lots of play. He looked very much at home! I highly recommend Ting and her family and I am grateful to find a family I can trust to host Lewis with such care. Thank you, Ting!”

“We are very impressed with the care that Heather provided for our boy Duncan. Our dog is on a lot of different medications given at different times of the day and the schedule was followed to a T. Will be keeping Heather in mind for the future. Thanks for treating our boy like the Prince he is!”

“All the reviews are true, Tiana was fantastic and we felt our dog was well taken care off. We really appreciate the pictures and video updates throughout our trip. Thank you!”

“Wonderful people! Very accommodating with a meet & greet, drop off and pick up times and kept me updated how the night was going. My dog was comfortable there and very relaxed when I picked her up. Great experience, super glad they were available!”

“We had a great experience boarding with Criofan, she is kind, caring, and wonderful with animals. Her home and beautiful fenced property are set up thoughtfully to provide a fun and safe environment with lots of fresh air and exercise. We really appreciated the great communication and photo updates. Our dog was well cared for and made some new best friends. Thanks again!”

“Kelsey was very friendly, and she provides an excellent place for dogs at her residence . Also very helpful & flexible with scheduling. We look forward to using her again in the near future!”

“This is the second time boarding with Monica and the second five star review! I can't say enough great things about her care for my large pup, Hank always enjoys his time there, she sends lots of updates and pictures and he comes home happy and tired. Thank you Monica!”

“Andrea was really great with Izzy. She was patient and made her comfortable in her home, allowing her to settle in. She played with her while understanding her boundaries and play style. Andrea was communicative and kept me updated while I was away. Izzy took to her and her family right away and I felt good knowing she was in good hands. Thank you!”

“I am so happy I found Sue. It was my puppy’s first time away overnight and I was nervous and feeling guilty. Sue is such a lovely person and loves dogs. She cared so well for Charlie and loved him up while we were away. She sent me photos and updates while we were gone and a video montage of his time after the stay! I am sooooooo happy i found Sue and have already rebooked her for 9 days in April. I will have no hesitation leaving Charlie for his own mini holiday this time!”

“Linda was amazing. Her boarding operation is clean and organized. She looked after our three Schnauzers for a week, and they all came home healthy and happy. Linda made an extra effort to work with our youngest Schnauzer who is anxious and had never been boarded before… we were so grateful for her patience with him. I would not hesitate to recommend Linda for boarding services and I hope she will have our three back again next time!”

“We were first time Rover users and were a little nervous at the prospect of leaving our pup with someone who wasn’t family but Amy made us feel reassured and confident that she would be well taken care of. Amy invited us over for a quick hello prior to boarding our pooch. Right away it was evident that Amy is warm, good natured and caring. Additionally, her place is like a dog’s paradise - right on the lake with primo swimming and hiking! Amy sent us daily updates with pictures of them hiking, swimming and lounging around together. Communication with Amy was also a breeze! 5/5 big thanks Amy!!!”

“Bianca’s energy is calm and welcoming, we felt good leaving Emmy (senior Pomeranian) in her care. We received cute photos over the weekend and picked up a happy, rested gal. We’d be happy to have Bianca sit for us again!”

“Rachel was fantastic! My dog had such a lovely time and I think it felt like a vacation for him. He enjoyed all the activities, and Rachel was thoughtful and provided amazing updates and communication throughout the time. This was our first time leaving our dog, and it was a very positive experience for all of us. Highly recommend her for any and all animal care needs.”

“Devyn was amazing and took very good care of Jax. She was very responsive and flexible which made everything very easy. I didn’t have to worry about him at all and knew he was in good hands.”

“Erin was wonderful with my doodle and also very accomodating for drop-off and pick-up times as driving took a little longer then expected one day. My dog was very calm and happy when I picked her up so I was glad to know she was well taken care of by Erin.”

Sheila is excellent! I cannot recommend her enough. I’m always hesitant to leave my dog because of his separation anxiety but Sheila put me at ease as soon as we met. She tailored her days to make sure Opie was with her at all times and even took him to dog-friendly places around town. Opie had such a great time, he’s been trying to walk back to her house since we’ve been back!

Great!! Heather was so great in taking Gemma short notice. She sent me regular updates and pictures which really put my mind at ease. From the moment you meet these folks they are kind and welcoming and Gemma made herself right at home at their place and spent plenty of time sunning herself in their beautiful yard. I even got a picture of Gemma snuggled with them on the couch. They genuinely cared for her, even though Gemma decided she would like 6:30 am walks (haha something she does not get at home) but was indulged with Heather. Highly recommend them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
