“Our 13 year old Ruby stayed with Maryanne overnight. Maryanne sent text and photo updates to let us know the dog was doing alright. Ruby enjoyed the backyard with their dog. Unfortunately, Ruby made a mistake on the area rug! So sorry about that.”

About: I have had cats or dogs my whole life. I’d love to make your travel easier by caring for your beloved fur babies while you are away from home. I work from home and can rearrange my schedule during the day to stop in and take your pets out for potty breaks or a quick walk or cuddles. I don’t currently have pets in my home, so if your pets overnight here, they will have my full attention. I live in Sidney very close to walking paths and parks for walks and playtime.
“Ting and family were great with our energetic Lab! Very responsive and caring. Got lots of updates, pictures and videos!! I would trust them to care for him again anytime!”

“Heather was great about getting back to me in a timely manner for planning last minute, and sent lots of photos of my pup for me. It looked like Dolly had a great time there and appeared to be very comfortable when i arrived to pick her up, really appreciate the help and will be using Heather again in the future!”

“Joanne and Adam are lovely couple. They truly enjoy babay sitting. My dog bonded with Joanne right away and was so exited to see her at drop off. We could tell our dog was well cared for and she had a great time there. I would book Joanne and Adam in future.”

“Tiana was excellent with Finn! He had so much fun with her dogs and she has a great outdoor space for them to play and run around! She was constantly updating us with photos which made us feel great about being away as we knew he was so well taken care of! Will definitely use her again and Finn will be so excited to return 😁”

“Bill and Gerrie are 2 lovely genuine people who in our absence have looked after our 2 furry family members in such a way that we are free to enjoy ourselves without worry or guilt. The personal and individual attention our dogs had during the home environment stay was great. Communication has been great throughout and we received regular updates and pictures of them both having a wonderful holiday of their own with Bill and Gerrie. We 100% recommend them both as wonderful sitters and have already booked another sitting with them going forward.”

“Absolutely cannot recommend Criofan enough. Her and her partner made an amazing home away from home for our pup. He has a forever best friend with her sweet pup Albert and was so well taken care of. Perfect experience for us”

“This was my first time booking Rover and I was extremely nervous to have someone looked after our dog overnight. I picked Kelsey as her profile seemed a good fit for Boo. Kelsey was proactive and offered to have a video call with us before the actual onboarding date. Kelsey is very professional and caring and welcoming to Boo! Not to mention, her cute and friendly dog Frankie! They have a nice sized yard for Boo to run around and play. Kelsey kept us updated about Boo’s trips and activities. My anxiety and fear went away- we just want the best for our fur baby when it comes to proper care. Boo returned with a huge smile on his face and a wagging tail. I highly recommend Kelsey.”

“Monica is a very compassionate and capable pet sitter. I love receiving the frequent updates and know that Koa is getting lots of exercise and is in great hands. It sure takes the worry out of leaving your pet when you know that they are in a safe, loving and nurturing home.”

“Andrea was really great with Izzy. She was patient and made her comfortable in her home, allowing her to settle in. She played with her while understanding her boundaries and play style. Andrea was communicative and kept me updated while I was away. Izzy took to her and her family right away and I felt good knowing she was in good hands. Thank you!”

“I am so happy I found Sue. It was my puppy’s first time away overnight and I was nervous and feeling guilty. Sue is such a lovely person and loves dogs. She cared so well for Charlie and loved him up while we were away. She sent me photos and updates while we were gone and a video montage of his time after the stay! I am sooooooo happy i found Sue and have already rebooked her for 9 days in April. I will have no hesitation leaving Charlie for his own mini holiday this time!”

“You can tell right away when you meet Linda that she loves dogs. Her set up is amazing with separate roomy cages for each dog that has enough space for a crate and eating area. Seconds after getting home and saying hello to everyone Ipa went straight to her fav sleeping spot and has not moved. So glad we connected with this fantastic service.”

“Amy is without a doubt the best puppysitter we have ever had! She is thoughtful, calm, caring and above all loves and respects dogs for who they are and their needs. Amy takes the time to send updates and pictures which puts a dog parent at ease while away. Amy also is a great adventure buddy and goes on lots of hikes and walks, which was perfect for our forest-loving dog. Our dog Odin came back from a stay with Amy looking rested but tired from adventure, calm, happy, and well cared for. Her lovely place/location is ideal for a puppy staycation. Thank you Amy! Odin misses you!”

“Rachel was fantastic! My dog had such a lovely time and I think it felt like a vacation for him. He enjoyed all the activities, and Rachel was thoughtful and provided amazing updates and communication throughout the time. This was our first time leaving our dog, and it was a very positive experience for all of us. Highly recommend her for any and all animal care needs.”

“Devyn was amazing and took very good care of Jax. She was very responsive and flexible which made everything very easy. I didn’t have to worry about him at all and knew he was in good hands.”

“Erin was wonderful with my doodle and also very accomodating for drop-off and pick-up times as driving took a little longer then expected one day. My dog was very calm and happy when I picked her up so I was glad to know she was well taken care of by Erin.”

“Shelley is wonderful! Easy communication and you can tell how kind she is on first meeting. She was prompt for her drop in visits and we came home after a four day weekend to a very content kitty. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Shelley and will definitely book with her again. Thank you so much, Shelley!!”

“This was our first time using Rover. Connecting with Carys to provide care for our two cats was a great experience for us. We found her to be very communicative, kind and punctual. We really appreciated the pictures and updates that she sent us to let us know how things were going. We would highly recommend Carys for anybody looking for care for their animals.”

“Helen is amazing! She really helped us out with pet-sitting our cat when in a tight spot and on short notice. I definitely felt confident Koi was in good hands while we were gone. I almost think Koi was a little disappointed when we returned home, hoping we were Helen instead 😅 thanks so much again!”

About: Hey cute dogs and responsible dog owners! I am a german dog trainer and I miss working with dogs so much! Since I am here in Canada, I work part-time from home and unfortunately I am not allowed to have an own dog, where I live. For the past 8 years I worked with more than 45 dogs and I fostered more than 30 dogs in my own home in Germany (mostly rescues). I used to worked with three german animal protection associations as well. My specialties are: - leash pulling issues - creating a better bond and relationship between dog and owner - behavior in general - issues at home I can´t wait to meet you and your dog! I work part-time in my own business at home, so I am able to organize my own times, when I work. But ideal is after 11:30 am. I know, how to read dogs. I work with dogs all my life, even as a kid, I worked with dogs at german dog parks. I was the youngest trainer in my town, who ever worked with dogs. And mostly, I often like dogs better than humans - to be honest. Dogs are just amazing. I will always take care about the safety of the animal, that - for me - is job one. Also I won´t give anything to the pet (treats, toys), that I haven´t talked through with the owner beforehand.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and just rescued my own about a year and a half ago. He is my world:). I know how stressful it can be to leave your animal with someone so I understand how hard it can be! I take my dog daily to dog parks, open fields, and on the occasional walk, so spending time with dogs is already a big part of my everyday life! I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a double major in Psychology and Criminology and have moved back home to Brentwood Bay, BC after playing NCAA Division I hockey in Minnesota for the past several years. While living in Duluth, I rescued my dog Loki from a local humane society, and he quickly became one of the best parts of my life. That experience only strengthened my love for animals and the importance I place on providing them with a safe, happy, and active environment. Now that I'm back home, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability during both weekdays and weekends, allowing me to provide the attention, care, and exercise your dog deserves. I would love the opportunity to care for your dog as if they were my own! Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. In my home, pets are treated like family and are always supervised when outside. I have a fairly large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run and play, and I also live just down the road from a large elementary school field that is perfect for walks, exercise, and playtime. My family also has a white Boxer, so there are already two dog-friendly dogs in the home who are used to being around other pets. I follow each owner's instructions closely regarding feeding, medications, routines, and any special needs to help pets feel comfortable and maintain consistency. Whether I am caring for your pet in my home or yours, I will provide plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and regular updates so you can feel confident that they are in good hands.

I live with my wife and cocker spaniel, Vincent, and we keep him active with walks play which he loves to have other dogs join I am currently completing a degree in kinesiology at camosun college, which keeps me busy but also has plenty of time at home for pet care. I can easily be available for visits and visitors I like to take my dog out for walks around the property several times a day. “Criofan was great, we were travelling from Edmonton and decided to do a last minute Whale Watching Tour. Within 5 minutes Criofan responded and we had Luna booked in to play for the day. We really appreciated the late night pick up at 10pm, was flexible for us to enjoy our time in Victoria without feeling rushed. The drive was only 20 mins, but was definitely worth the drive, huge space for Luna to run with Albert. Really appreciated the messages after dropping Luna off, put my mind at ease that she was behaving. Highly recommend, we got back a happy tired pooch!”

“Anisha is great! She is very professional and communicative. Even before daycare, she let us know there would be another pup in her care and made sure our pups would be compatible before booking :) We left our 6 month old puppy in her care, and he came home tired and happy-- he had lots of play time! She was attentive to the notes in his profile and we were provided a debrief of his day. She is so good at understanding and managing puppy behaviors! We would really like to book her services again if we can find time in her calendar.”

“I’m the lucky one to have Monica and her boyfriend. She’s such a fantastic caregiver and sent me a lot of photos all day long. It just likes that I am with my fur baby the whole day. Dongdong was relaxed in the pictures and made a new friend. I won’t hesitate to book Monica again.”

“Devyn did a great job with our very anxious husky for the day. Although she was a bit nervous at first, Devyn made her feel comfortable and she eventually made herself right at home, which we saw from the pictures Devyn sent through the day. We would not hesitate to use Devyn again when we’re back in the area!”
“Our dog Ollie is not left in a daycare setting very often. Kathryn was very patient with him, giving him extra attention to calm him down. She took Ollie and her dog Carl for two long walks and Ollie got better as the day went on. She was great at communicating with us. We’d highly recommend her for her care!”

“They are absolutely amazing and gentle. They cared for the needs of my dog and communicated very well with me. It was a last minute booking and they made it work. I highly recommend them!! Thank you again both of you <3”

“Eddie had such a great time with Robin & Luc. It takes so much stress out of my day knowing he’s well cared for and looked after. He is always happy to get to their place for the day :)”

“Amy is magnificent! I was a bit hesitant to put in a review as I want her available for my mutt! ;-) She is very calm and zen, loving, open and warm which was evidenced by our first meet and greet where she got on the floor and my girl just cuddled into her arms. She sent photos and updates without me asking and was flexible with last minute changes keeping Lily overnight. It is my Lily (the white French Bull Dog) that you will see on her sitter profile, and you can see for yourself how wonderful Amy is.”

About: Originally from California, I spent 4 years consistently volunteering at the Animal Rescue Foundation (an organization that saves dogs and cats from inhumane public shelters). My responsibilities began with basic shelter essential chores, and as the months progressed I undertook training to specialize in Dog Care. I helped rescues become comfortable with human interaction by reading books to them. I learned how to monitor their body language, making adjustments to my approach so that the dogs feel more relaxed during their temporary time at the shelter. To be appointed this position I underwent a series of training, as well as written and hands-on examinations. In the summer of 2021, I was hired as a professional dog walker — taking up to 8 dogs at a time! Through this role, I learned crucial skills of safe dog walking. I have over five years of experience on Rover as well, and have built trusting relationships with my pup clients and their owners. I have an incredibly strong fondness for animals, and treat each one as my own. While I am unable to care for dogs at my own residence, I am available to come to you! I do dog walks, house drop-ins, and house sitting. It would be an honor to become a friend and caretaker to your beloved pet! Safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a 1 year old miniature dachshund named Baguette, who loves other dogs and is very friendly. Please feel free to reach out with any questions — I’m a quick responder. Schedule: I work remotely and have a flexible schedule at the moment, especially for house sitting where I can just work remotely with your pup and give them love all day! House Drop-Ins: During my house drop-ins, a list of food portions and any important info is greatly appreciated. For dogs that require medication, detailed instructions and dosage are necessary to ensure safety. It’s also great to know your dog’s favorite toys or exercise activities! In the past I have done house drop-ins for senior dogs who can’t necessarily handle a regular walk, and prefer a play in the yard or a stroll around the block.

About: Hi! I’m Makenna. I’m spending the summer in Brentwood Bay after finishing my first year in the Veterinary Technology program at Thompson Rivers University. I love working with animals and have experience from both a doggy daycare and the veterinary field. I also have my Dog First Aid certification. I have a rescue dog named Renfrew, so I know every dog is different and has their own personality and needs. Whether your pup loves to play, go for walks, or just relax and get cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I’d love to get to know your dog and provide them with a safe, fun, and loving environment. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Since I'm not working right now, I can easily fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine. I have plenty of time to make sure pets get all the attention, exercise, and care they need. My day usually includes feeding, playtime, and walks with my dog Renfrew. I also set aside time for grooming and any necessary medical care. This way, I can provide consistent and high-quality care for pets every day of the week. I ensure pets are safe by creating a secure environment and providing regular supervision, proper nutrition, and lots of love. My experience working at dog daycares and in the veterinary field has equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to offer exceptional care. I have ample space for regular walks, ensuring that pets get the exercise and attention they need to stay happy and healthy.

About: My place has been a revolving door of visiting pets of friends and family for the past 6 years. There is a nice field far from roads that I allow him off leash to run, play and chase smells. There is a large dog park which is about a 10 minute drive away and a mountain hike that is 5 minutes to walk to (about an hour to complete the hike and get home). We play with his toys inside and Vincent is always happy to play with visitors and other dogs at the park.

About: Hi There! I'm Amber and I am a fur mama to two Chihuahuas. I love all animals (more than people). I have babysat my friends and families pets for years (puppies too!). I would love to watch over your fur baby. I am available 7 days a week for dog walking for almost any time of day. I am an athletic person so long walks (2 hours) are no trouble for me. I am also available to come for potty breaks multiple times a day. My chihuahuas are my babies. They are part of the family. We go on 2-3 walks a day, play fetch in the yard, and lots of snuggling. They have full range of the house and of course sleep in the bed. I make them healthy home cooked meals.
“Sara- thank you so much for your time with Stanley. He was a happy pup and I was so happy to know he was having a good time and was well cared for. Sara was very professional, respectful, I would very highly recommend Sara.”

About: I have a lifetime worth of experience with dogs/cats as I have always had both in my home. I also have experience with dog/house sitting for multiple days with one or more dogs at a time. This includes daily walks, feeding, and playing. As someone who had a very reactive dog for 10 years, I understand the stress when having someone else look after them. I am here to make sure your animal feels safe and loved! I currently have availability Monday-Friday and weekends upon request. My daily routines consist of CrossFit, hikes/walks, and running. It would be a bonus adding your dog into my schedule. Having had 3 different dogs throughout my life alongside cats takes a lot of responsibility so I am familiar with how to take care of a full house. Whether that includes walking, hiking, or just stopping in to say hi, I am fully confident in caring for your pets.

About: Hello! My name is Isabella and I’m originally from Mexico. I’ve grown up in a home surrounded by dogs, which sparked my lifelong passion for caring for animals. I just graduated from Ecology at Thompson Rivers University and I’m also an active volunteer at local animal shelters. These experiences have deepened my understanding of animal behaviour and well being. I have over 7 years of experience as a dog walker and pet sitter, working with a wide range of breeds—from small, energetic pups to larger, strong dogs like Labradors. My top priority is always the well-being, safety, and happiness of your pet. I love going for long walks, playing, and making sure each pet feels loved and secure in my care. I am happy to look after your dog in your home to ensure the health and safety of all animals I look after. I’m excited to meet your furry friend and promise to keep you updated with photos and videos while you're away! Pet care fits perfectly into my routine as I have all weekdays and weekend free. As a recent graduate, I am currently looking for a job so I will be home all day taking care of your furry ones. My previous experience in my Mom's dog sitting company has given me the tools to provide the best possible care of the furry pets. I provide food, fresh water, and any medications needed at appropriate times, following the given schedule to optimise the pet’s wellbeing. I also personalise the care for each pet, taking into consideration their age, health conditions, energy levels, etc. I like to keep them entertained by playing with them and taking them on walks if agreed with you first. My walks always prioritise safety, providing the best experience possible for you and your pets. Letting them take their time while smelling plants and nature is crucial to ensure they enjoy the most. I offer on leash and off leash walks depending on your personal preference.

“Megan was easy to deal with. She lives on gorgeous, wooded grounds with plenty of space for dogs to play. Angel had a great time - I appreciated all the pictures and videos of Angel enjoying her woodland and lake walks. Would happily book Megan’s services again.”

“After months of stressing and trying to find the perfect sitter for our 12 yr old baby boy, we found Amanda 5 days before our 12 day vacation. The minute Sam stepped into her home, he was ready to stay with her. It was the perfect meet and greet. I got updates everyday and Sammy was smiling in every picture. Amanda treated Sammy like family, making our vacation so care free. We are so happy to have found Amanda, her sweet son and lil pup. Sammy came home a very happy boy. Thank you, Amanda. We adore you and are excited to leave Sammy in your care again.”
