Information Kirsten S. would like to know about your pet

Any behavioural issues I should be aware of ? Any issues with other dogs on walks ? What are their favourite treats, toys ? Any allergies or food sensitivities ? Any medical issues I should be aware of ? Any anxiety or fears that I should be aware of ? What is their regular feeding/ walk schedule ? * I like to keep their routine the same as their regular schedule to reduce the stress on your beloved animals. Does your dog like to get into anything that I should take precautions for ? * eg. Kleenex, garbage, counter surfing

A typical day

Walks by the Ocean. Dog friendly Hikes and playtime for higher energy dogs. Nothing strenuous when temperatures are high. Playing fetch or other mind stimulating games. Not all dogs are the same, so discovering what games they like and creating activities around that.

Pet care experience

* A little note and update. Unfortunately my mom passed away last year and I have moved to Langford BC for a new beginning. So to any previous clients from Burlington that I haven’t spoken to before my move - I’m unfortunately no longer living there. It was a pleasure to work with you ! Everything else below holds true. Please read my profile carefully before booking to make sure I’m a good fit for your dog. I have over 18 years experience caring for animals. I’m an intuitive energy ( Reiki Master ) healer which allows me to connect and understand your dog’s needs at a deeper level. If your dog is nervous or afraid of new people and/ or surroundings, i’m able to calm them with a little energy treatment. I also have many years of teaching and practicing first aid under my belt, as well as 11years of caring for my first dog Charlie. Over all, I have a tremendous love and understanding of animals, which I believe makes me a great choice for caring for your beloved fur babies. I know how incredibly precious they are to you, and will ensure they are loved and cared for as if they were my own. I am writing a film, doing pack walks and running my energy healing business from home - which allows me a flexible schedule to give your animals the care they need. For overnight / daycare : we live in a coach house in Langford BC - a close drive to Royal Oak Beach. It’s such a beautiful, safe neighbourhood to explore and go for walks. Sooke Hills Wilderness Park is just 3mins away. Note there is a set of stairs leading up to my living space so for those dogs that can’t do stairs I might not be a good fit. I am available to sit at your home though if it’s easier.

Kristen took great care of for our corgi and cat while we were away! Good communication and she sent photos of the animals! We feel like our animals are in good hands while we are out of town.

Kyla was so relaxed and happy after her stay with Kirsten, I know she enjoyed her visit. There are very few people I would leave Kyla with, and I am grateful for Kirsten! Thank you 🙏

Couldn’t recommend Kirsten more! We booked Kirsten for a three-night stay to watch our cat and our corgi, and honestly we couldn’t be happier. This was our first time ever trusting someone outside of immediate family with our pets, so we were definitely a little nervous but the second she walked in for the meet-and-greet, both animals were instantly comfortable with her. Huge relief. Kirsten kept us updated every day with photos and hilarious stories of what the two of them were up to. Both of our pets have their own quirky breakfast routines, and she handled everything perfectly. You can tell she genuinely pays attention and deeply cares for animals. We came home to two happy, relaxed animals and a spotless house. Truly above and beyond. It’s no surprise she has such a great rating on Rover. We’ll definitely be requesting her again in the future. Highly recommend!
