I'm based from home with a flexible schedule. I'm happy to drop-in on dogs by day while their 'parents' are at work, and cats when their people are away. I love to brighten each pet's day with cheerful company, while caring for their needs.

A typical day
I love to drop-in on dogs and cats in their home. Depending on their routine, we visit indoors, play in the yard, or go for a walk. I exercise and play with energetic pets, gently care for senior and convalescing ones, and provide company and playtime at any age. Cats let me know if they'd like to play, cuddle, or be left to lounge while I care for their needs.

Pet care experience
Pets feel comfortable in my care, and owners can rest assured their furry family members are in good hands. I have much pet sitting experience, in addition to caring for my own beloved dogs and cats over the years. With a positive and patient approach, I can help with young pets, senior care, and all stages in between! I love to interact, whether it's to play, go for walks, or gently snuggle on the couch. Shy pets tend to be comfortable with me, and I'm careful with special diets. I tailor my care to each individual character, based on guidance and requests from their pet-parent. I'm happy to provide detailed updates with several photos per visit. (Note: I'm good with timid pets who may shy away, but not with those who may respond in a reactive/aggressive way.)

This was our second booking with Barbara - and longer one at that for 10 days. Once again we were really happy with her services including her care/attention to our cats and their surroundings. She dealt with a couple unexpected incidents well and provided great check ins as part of every visit.
