“I contacted Dorothy months ahead about a drop-in type visit while my husband and I were to be visiting Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, from California for a family wedding. I scheduled with Dorothy to come to our travel trailer in the Living Forest Campground and RV Park for the Meet n Greet to not only meet us, but how to get in our trailer, all about the dogs and their needs. Dorthy listened to all that was needed and then contacted me by text during the scheduled evening when we were gone to let us know she’d been there and handled everything. There were three dogs to walk in two trailers and Dorothy fed each one and took them for walks to get their business done; what a lifesaver she was so that we could be gone for an extended time and all was handled. I recommend Dorothy without hesitation and will use her again if we ever come back to Nanaimo.”

I live in a condo but we go for 3 walks away, our lunch time walk is an hour, in the mornings and normally to the dog park after work, but that’s only if your dog is comfortable with dog parks. About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for and raised animals of all kinds, from puppies and rescue dogs to farm animals and small pets. My own rescue dog, Indigo, taught me so much about patience, compassion, and attentive care as I supported her through both IVDD and cancer. Through that experience, I became very comfortable with medication routines, mobility support, changing needs, and providing calm, loving care through every stage of an animal’s life. I’ve also raised puppies and lived on a farm where I regularly cared for large farm dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve had experience caring for many different animals, including parrots, snakes, hamsters, fish, rabbits, and other small pets. I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and needs, and I always strive to make them feel safe, understood, and cared for while their owners are away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention, consistency, and care throughout the day. I’m also a very active person and usually spend hours outside walking every day, so I’d genuinely love some furry companionship along the way - whether your dog prefers long adventures, slower sniff walks, or lots of playtime and attention. I live in a detached home with a fully fenced backyard and no other animals in the home, creating a calm and safe environment for your pet. About: I have been pet sitting and dog walking for many years, I have experience with all pets. I have worked with all different sizes and breeds, I have also worked with different temperaments. I’ve dealt with shy and timid dogs, to aggressively not good with other animals or humans, and of course loving and super friendly dogs. Pets are my passion and I only have what’s best interest for them :) I have tons of references if wanted, I am super flexible and just happy to help with your furry family members. I am happy to just drop by and give a snuggle or out for a bathroom break, and I am also happy to stay at your home for as long as you need. When i was kid, we had dogs , cats and others small cute pets. I always loved to take care of them and being around them! I also kept the animals of several of my friends and neighbors when they needed my help during the last years. I’m really comfortable with all size of dogs(or cat) and love to give them all the cuddles they need! I am a treeplanter and landscaper. I’m off season right now so I have a lot of free time!
