About: I have a beautiful, sweet kitty in my life but I need more love and I’m hoping to get it from your pets! I grew up on a hobby farm with all sorts of animals. I have experience with cats, dogs, small animals, birds, large livestock and even insects and arachnids. I have to say living in the farm has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. Through my many years experience with pets I have learned to read the body language and eye contact of a variety of animals making it easier to build trust and a better connection. I’m attentive and affectionate and am confident your loved ones will be in safe in my loving hands. I work part time from home in the insurance industry but would love to eventually make Rover my fulltime career. I am able to take your pet outside to the bathroom anytime of the day and can go for mini walks on my breaks before the big adventure after work. About: I’ve had dogs and cats around me since I was a kid, and I’ve owned my own dogs since 2020. I’ve taken positive reinforcement puppy training courses as well as reactivity specific lessons, so I’m comfortable reading early warning signs in anxious or reactive dogs and know how to de-escalate rather than just react. I’m also experienced handling big, strong dogs confidently and safely on leash. Before having my own, I dog sat regularly for friends, so I’ve got a solid range of temperaments and routines under my belt. I work from home running my own business, which means I’m around during the day most weekdays and have flexible availability for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I can work around specific feeding or walk times rather than squeezing visits into a rigid window. While house sitting, I treat your home like a guest would; respecting your space, sticking to your pet’s normal routine, and keeping things exactly as I found them. For drop-ins and walks, I’m attentive to leash safety, comfortable handling multiple pets, and quick to notice if something seems off with appetite, energy, or behavior. I’m also comfortable with reptile care basics like enclosure checks and feeding schedules, if that’s ever relevant

About: I grew up with at minimum 4 dogs at all times, ranging from Border collies, to Shepard mixes, to Jack Russell and fox terriers. I learned from a young age the best way to train dogs specific to their breeds and personalities and I have lots of experience caring for pups from the day they were born into old age. I understand the importance of exercise, routine and play for our furry friends. I say I have 7 years of experience caring for pets, but really it is 30+ years at this point, the 7 years comes from a boom in friends getting dogs and the beginning of me taking care of their pets when they go on vacation, have family/medical emergencies etc. I live less than a block from a park that is off-leash-optional (the park has a cute communal dog toy box also) and I live in a quiet neighbourhood where I can stroll with your pup on-leash for exercise if that is preferred. I also carry my own pups to designated off leash areas where they can run forest trails with me, or just hike around. Depending on your pups needs and what you and I discuss, play/exercise time for your pup may involve all three. My home has a fenced in back yard which is great for toilet breaks and serves as a play area also, if your pup is so inclined :) I have two pups of my own, a Border Collie and a Wire Haired Griffon, both friendly gals, the Border Collie is becoming a senior gal and generally pays no attention to other dogs past an introductory sniff, the Griffon is 4 years old and loves to play if your pup is willing, if not, no issues, she is not forceful in anyway. I can say with confidence that your pups will be in safe hands,well taken care of and loved while I am looking after them. I work a flexible schedule from my home office. My doggy caring day typically starts with at least a 30 - 40 min neighbour hood walk before 8:00 am. Backyard toilet and exercise breaks around 10:00. 30 - 40 min neighbourhood/park lunch walk around noon. More toilet/stretch the legs breaks around 2:00. Off-leash Forest walk around 4:30/5:00 (Or on-leash depending on the pup, and if a forest walk doesn't suit, then more time in the beautiful neighbourhood often heading to a larger fenced in municipal park about 10 mins walk away) Obviously, meals are given as per your pups schedule and lots of treats throughout the day (unless you tell me not to) I have a fully fenced in back yard, with two friendly pups for company for your pup. The house itself is very dog friendly, pups are allowed onto the couch, but not the beds or other furniture. There are many dog beds in various rooms for pooches to sleep in as they wish. When walking/exercising your dog, I will only walk your dog on-leash in the neighborhood and in any area that is not well fenced in. If your dog is reactive, timid, has any health concerns we can discuss and I will be sure to adjust my routine around those needs. I will do exactly what you ask of me when it comes to feeding, play, keeping your pup on-leash, treats etc. Should the unlikely happen and I need to bring your dog to a vet unexpectedly, I will have your contact details, your vets contact details and I live within 5 mins drive of the emergency vet hospital. Your pup will be well looked after.

My name is Breanne :) My partner and I recently relocated from Ontario to beautiful Victoria, and I’m excited to continue offering pet care here while getting to know the area, its trails, and the local pet community! I have over 15 years of hands-on experience in animal care, with a background that includes working in veterinary clinics as a technician, doggy daycares, rescue organizations, pet boarding and training facilities, farms, turtle rehabilitation centres, wildlife research and management, and volunteering at farm sanctuaries. My experience definitely isn’t limited to dogs! Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, pigs, horses, sheep, chickens, raccoons, skunks, and more. I began volunteering with local animal rescues at the age of 12 and have remained involved in animal care ever since. What sets me apart as a sitter is the combination of my professional animal-care background, education in animal behaviour and physiology, and genuine commitment to animal welfare. I’m comfortable caring for animals with very different personalities, energy levels, medical needs, and routines. That might mean comforting a nervous rescue, getting creative with enrichment for an indoor cat, reinforcing training with an energetic puppy, cleaning a turtle tank, caring for farm animals, tending to a wound, or administering oral or injectable medications. I'm also very happy to tailor exercise and enrichment to the individual animal. If your dog only needs a short, relaxed neighbourhood walk, that's perfectly fine. If you have an energetic dog who would benefit from a long hike, bigger adventure, swim, or more physically demanding outing, I'd love that too! I'm physically fit and genuinely enjoy being active outdoors. I actually really miss taking my own 13-year-old dog on our big adventures. Her body can't quite keep up with what she used to be able to do, so these days I've learned to adapt our outings to what works for her — including getting her comfortable riding in a wagon so she can still come along and experience the outdoors with us. ❤️ Having a senior dog myself has given me an even greater appreciation for meeting animals where they're at rather than expecting them to fit a particular routine. And exercise doesn't always have to mean a walk! I'm more than happy to come up with other stimulating and enriching activities based on your pet's personality, abilities, interests, and needs. Whether that's sniffing and exploration, play, training reinforcement, puzzles, cat enrichment, swimming, or simply some quiet companionship, I'm happy to follow your routine or work with you to figure out what your pet enjoys most. Animal care genuinely isn't just a job for me. Their welfare is a priority in everything I do, whether I'm working with pets, livestock, or wildlife. I recently graduated with a degree in Conservation Biology, and while I explore opportunities in the wildlife conservation field, I've continued working through Rover because spending time caring for animals is something I truly don't see myself ever giving up. About: I have a senior dog and walk her all the time knows how to take care of them and currently have a foster dog that’s 4 with a lot of energy I have two senior dogs at home that I walk and feed every day. They both usually get three walks a day sometimes they get only two If I’m checking on your pet at a clients house I will make sure they had a walk, have enough water in their bowls and if they have a backyard let them out in the back
