She watched my two cats, who were bummed they had to leave “camp fun” and come home with me after. I can be a bit of a worry wart when I leave my cats, but Courtney quickly eased any worries from our first meet and greet. She is calm, kind and overall lovely. My one cat Biscuit gets bad allergies and anxiety and often will cause him to scratch himself badly when I go away- but not with Courtney. She was amazing at giving Biscuit’s stubborn self his meds. About: Hi! I’m Sydney, and I’m new to Victoria but certainly not new to caring for animals! 🐾 I’ve cared for animals across Canada and abroad, including dogs, cats, horses and goats. In high school, I managed the baby barn on a goat farm, caring for around 200 baby goats, including feeding, providing vitamins and supporting those with mobility difficulties. While travelling, I’ve also cared for two dogs and three horses on a farm in Turkey, regularly walked a dog in Germany, and spent two months in Albania caring for a puppy through daily walks, feeding and socialization. In Canada, I’ve looked after dogs of all ages and energy levels, from playful puppies to senior dogs, as well as cats. About: I have had pets of all kinds my whole life from hamsters to turtles to cats and my father later in life adopted dogs for me to care for when returning home. I started taking care of dogs when I was travelling for work in the USA through Trusted Housesitters with my partner. After having a child we have had fish, enjoy taking our friends' dogs for morning walks and cat-boarding for colleagues at work. I love living in Victoria and am lucky to live in a nice neighbourhood with big parks and nice walks. Walking is my favourite exercise and walking with company is the best! I am going to use the dog walking extra money to fundraise for my daughter's trip to DisneyLand this February 2027. I want to walk dogs in the morning before work and school for exercise and enjoy the early hours. I am also raising money to go on a trip to Disney Land. Having used Trusted Housesitters, I have stayed in other people's houses to care for their pets for up to a month. I also used to run an Airbnb with my partner so we could travel and have experience cleaning and taking care of the home with pets. I keep a clean and tidy home with my daughter, mostly to keep track of everything haha 😂 I have split level apartment at the top two floors of a house with open spaces and 2 bathrooms. I have a gated front patio and a giant dog park across the street. Lots of places to walk and enjoy the great weather of Victoria.

About: I have always loved animals, especially dogs and cats. Back in Sri Lanka, I had around 3 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including feeding, bathing, walking, playing with them, and making sure they were safe and comfortable. After moving to Canada, I also gained 2 years of experience caring for dogs in Vancouver. I truly enjoy spending time with pets and getting to know their personalities, routines, and little habits.
