With over five years of dedicated experience in animal care, including pet retail, I'm known as the "animal whisperer" for my calm and loving approach with all animals, even the most nervous pets. My lifelong passion for animals began with countless hours volunteering at shelters as a child and continued through my teen years at vet clinics. A highlight was a two-week volunteer experience with 127 sled dogs in the Yukon, an unforgettable adventure. This foundation, combined with three years of retail experience at a well-known pet company, has honed my skills in caring for both cats and dogs of all sizes. I pride myself on building strong bonds not only with pets, but with their owners too.

Kate was a dream dog walker with my dog Xena. I had adopted her <5 weeks before Kate's walks and she is working through separation anxiety, recovering from a dog attack and learning new routines for walking, bathroom breaks and feeling safe. Kate's communication and organization is more than what you expect. She asked smart questions about commands, changes in training needs and comfort levels (mine and Xena's), and was able to help create a space where Xena had noticeable progress in just 2 visits! Kate was great helping Xena play with other dogs at the park, dealing with stubborn boundary testing leash behavious, letting me know of new behaviours like stick chewing, flagging Xena was ready for new toys / stimulation and giving (and receiving) cuddles. Kate's love for animals, intuitive and caring nature and grounded energy makes her a treat for any dog lover to rely on.
Kate absolutely nailed it with the pet-sit! She watched my bunny and cockatiel, and I'm sure parents of exotics know that it can be nerve-wracking to leave our critters alone for a trip. Kate did an awesome job, was super communicative, made such a big effort even just in the meet and greet, and it showed in how happy and well taken care of everything was when I came home. House? Perfectly cared for, even cleaner than when I left it! Pets? Happy and healthy when I came back, which is all I could ever hope for! They can be quite the handful and I was so impressed with how she handled everyone. My anxiety in leaving the pets with someone new? Handled and then some- got a ton of cute pictures and she truly could not have made the process any easier for me. Kate is fantastic and I would 100% recommend her services to anyone with a critter to be watched- be it cat, dog, bunny, bird, or anything in between.

Kate was the first dog sitter I’ve ever hired for my boys and I truly couldnt have asked for more. She was so incredibly attentive, communicative and caring for them. She also left my apartment better than I left it! I have another booking with Kate already arranged and look forward to booking with her in the future as my regular sitter. I cannot recommend her enough!
Kate was excellent at looking after our senior dog! She sent us frequent updates and really took care of him. He needed lots of attention and Kate provided lots of attention. So glad she was there looking after him
I was leery of leaving my pets & home for 3 weeks with someone I didn’t know, but Kate immediately put me at ease. I felt great knowing my cats were in good, caring hands. I appreciated receiving regular photos & progress updates. My pets seemed comfortable & content. My home was well taken care of, also. I’ll definitely ask her to sit again in the future.

Schedule
Starting in August I will be available daily! For the time being I’m currently working Monday to Friday 8-4. Im available on weekdays in the evenings, and am flexible on the weekends! I’d love to help you out in any way possible.
