I currently work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday evenings generally between 3.30-6.45pm. I also work Saturday mornings from 8.30-3.30. My summer schedule for July and August will be 9am-12pm Mon-Fri. I am generally home the rest of the time apart from my daily morning gym class.

I'm a very active person and absolutely love playing with dogs. If your dog has a lot of energy I will make sure they are fully stimulated. If your dog likes to nap and cuddle - I'm the girl for the job.

My name is Danielle and I currently volunteer at the BC SPCA and have worked with a number of shelters in the past. I have vast experience in walking, feeding, cleaning and playing with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I have recently moved to Victoria from Kelowna where I had been walking and sitting some regular dogs for the past 2 years. I am originally from England which is where I started working on Rover in 2021. Dogs are my passion and I love being around the lovable creatures as much as possible. I am reliable and trustworthy and you don't have to worry when your furry family member is in my care. I can cater to your dogs needs and take them on long hikes or get rid of some energy with a game of fetch or just visit them to feed and cuddle them. As I volunteer at the shelter I am also very used to nervous and anxious dogs and I am very patient and understanding of moving at the dogs own pace. Whatever your dog needs, I can provide it. My summer schedule will only be 3 hours of work per day so lots of time for me to spend outside with your doggos 🐶 I know dogs and their owners have specific ways they like to do things and I take this into account when watching your dog. I take any minor detail into account to make sure your dog is comfortable and their routine remains the same and also take any worry away from the owner.

Danielle is the Mary Poppins of dog sitters. Neither a nervous first-time Rover user nor a gang of four spoiled pups (one of whom is elderly with health issues) fazed her. I couldn't have dreamed of feeling so confident in leaving my girls with a stranger for the first time but Danielle exudes a calm, happy professionalism that puts you at ease and reassures you that your precious pets really are in terrific hands. Taking care of four dogs is not for the feint of heart. When one of them is elderly and suffers chronic GI issues that require constant attention and cleanups, the caregiver who takes that on cheerfully approaches hero status! Right from the start, Danielle demonstrated her genuine affection for dogs and didn't bat an eye at the care required for the eldest dog. Her professionalism shone through in her promptness, attention to detail, and practical approach. My girls immediately warmed to her at our meet and greet and inexplicably and much to my surprise, I really did feel comfortable leaving them with her. Such is Danielle's magic touch! Throughout her stay with my girls, she sent messages, photos, and videos regularly which clearly demonstrated they were secure, happy, and enjoying themselves immensely with walks, outside adventures, and cuddles. It made being away from them much easier and allowed me to relax and focus on my daughter's wedding - truly a godsend! When I arrived home, my house was immaculate (she'd even washed the bedding and towels) and my dogs looked well and happy to see me but I must admit, less so than when I've returned to them in the past. I'm pretty sure they were a little disappointed that Danielle had not walked in the door! That's the very best outcome any dog guardian could want. From now on I'll be planning future travel around Danielle's availability as I cannot imagine leaving them with anyone else after such an amazing experience.
Danielle took great care of our dog and house while we were away on a three week long trip. Our dog was happy and went for lots of great walks with Danielle. The house was sparkling clean when we got home. We will book her again if she’s available!
