About: Since I can remember I’ve had such a love for animals and their beautiful personalities and energy. Since approximately 12 years of age I’ve cared for and raised dogs. My husband and I have had two wonderful companions for 16-18 years who are sadly no longer with us. We continue to want to have animals in our life and help where we can. We have experience with puppies , middle aged, and senior pups and love all the stages that each age ranges bring. With family member we understand the utmost care and trust is needed. When we had our two dogs our lives definitely revolved around the both of them. Whether it be walking, feeding, playing and medications - they always came first. They were family. Our home consists of 2.5 floors. We have hardwood and carpets (runners) available for dogs who have traction issues. We can carry dogs that weigh up to 20 Ibs up and down if needed if they are older and also utilize baby gates. Water is available up and down and we also have AC.

About: My experience over the years with dogs has been with a variety of different breeds, ages and behaviors. I volunteered fostering dogs at the Victoria Humane Society 2 yrs ago (2022) where I gained a lot of experience with different temperaments and ages/mixed breeds. When they were adopted, it broke my heart so I adopted a beagle, Copper, in 2023. The highlight of my experience was working for Island Miniature Schnauzers outside of Sooke in 2016 for 8 months. My duties were: Home Life training for adopted puppies. This provided the new owners one week of me training the puppy at my home. This included walking on leash for the first time, crate training, schedule for house training, socializing with other dogs and people to name a few.. I provided video and pictures to the new owners to keep them up to date on progress. I also took older Shnauzers who were used to farm life and adapted them to urban life by going on leashed walks, greeting new dogs and people. I also learned to groom puppies and older dogs as well. You can see in all my photo's with the Schnauzer puppies and dogs that I trained while working for IMS. Over the years I have taken care of friends/family dogs and cats at their home. I treat all animals like my very own. I massage them, comfort them them and just love them up! I have a nice sized fenced in backyard for play. There are many trails, beaches and lakes that we go on each day. I'd like to meet first to see if Copper and I are a good fit for you and your fur baby. Please see my IG account for most of the dogs in my care starting in 2016. (copper_the_beagle_trofimuk) Depending on your dogs level of care, adjusting the cost is a flexibility I offer. We walk once or 2x a day and I have a nice sized backyard. Games and training time are incorporated into our day. I aim to make it as balanced and fun as possible. I offer 2 walks a day. There are many places to walk close to my house & the galloping goose trail is behind my gate. My backyard is a good size for wrestling, running and playing. I am currently revamping my yard to make it more dog friendly. Naps and downtime are a must for a happy healthy dog. The dogs sleep with me unless they need to be in a crate.

We have a large property with lots of space to run and play and multiple beaches, including a dog park, within walking distance. And there will be no shortage of cuddles and stimulation at our house - the kids love to play and engage with all dogs. Who knows? Your pooch may even come home with some new tricks! We are comfortable with all ages, breeds and sizes and we are confident and experienced dog handlers. We truly care about providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for every dog who stays with us. When your dog is with us, they are part of the family. When you're on vacation, they'll be on vacation too! Our family is available to care for your dog 24/7! Pup care is my main gig and I have a flexible schedule. Being home with your pup or keeping them by my side is my priority. Because we only take a maximum of 2 dogs at a time, you can leave your pup knowing they are getting highly individualized care. Please note, if our calendar is showing availability, there is a chance we have 1 other dog booked who has been pre-screened to socialize well with other dogs. Our big yard has lots of space to play, however it is not fenced so we will never leave your dog outside unattended. In our home your dog will be loved and cared for as our own and we will do everything we can to make them feel comfortable. We are happy to accommodate your dog's regular routine to help make the transition as easeful as possible. Our cat, R2D2, generally ignores dogs and spends his nights outside but if your dog has a strong prey drive or tendency to chase cats, they might not be the best fit.

I have a crate if needed and I can send picture/ video updates if wanted.
About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for and raised animals of all kinds, from puppies and rescue dogs to farm animals and small pets. My own rescue dog, Indigo, taught me so much about patience, compassion, and attentive care as I supported her through both IVDD and cancer. I’ve also raised puppies and lived on a farm where I regularly cared for large farm dogs and cats. I’m also a very active person and usually spend hours outside walking every day, so I’d genuinely love some furry companionship along the way - whether your dog prefers long adventures, slower sniff walks, or lots of playtime and attention. I live in a detached home with a fully fenced backyard and no other animals in the home, creating a calm and safe environment for your pet. I cared for my sweet dog Indigo through both IVDD and cancer, which gave me firsthand experience supporting animals with medical needs, mobility limitations, medication routines, and changing comfort levels. About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!

About: I have at least 10 years of experience with dogs, I have had all kinds of animals growing up and currently have one dog. I have dog walked, dog sat, and watched overnight for my family, friends, as well as friends of friends and family friends. I get along very well with most animals and love to be around them. About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. I grew up with 3 indoor cats and caring for my grandparents German Shepherds. I fostered many dogs and cats with my roommates in University, and worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 2+ years. I’ve rescued a senior dog from the SPCA (who since passed) and now have a 3.5yr Rottweiler. My schedule is extremely flexible and I can make myself available at anytime needed to provide care for your pets. A typical day with my dog consists morning potty, breakfast, long walk, indoor mental play time, supper, outside potty and more play time. It’s not uncommon to go for off-leash walks in a park. Another activity we enjoy is mental enrichment - either a mind game with treats or frozen kong. I have a condo in Westhills. There are many parks and trails nearby. About: Since I can remember I’ve had such a love for animals and their beautiful personalities and energy. Since approximately 12 years of age I’ve cared for and raised dogs. My husband and I have had two wonderful companions for 16-18 years who are sadly no longer with us. We continue to want to have animals in our life and help where we can. We have experience with puppies , middle aged, and senior pups and love all the stages that each age ranges bring. With family member we understand the utmost care and trust is needed. When we had our two dogs our lives definitely revolved around the both of them. Whether it be walking, feeding, playing and medications - they always came first. They were family. Our home consists of 2.5 floors. We have hardwood and carpets (runners) available for dogs who have traction issues. We can carry dogs that weigh up to 20 Ibs up and down if needed if they are older and also utilize baby gates. Water is available up and down and we also have AC.
