SHES ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Promoptly replied back to my dog walking cry for help. Was able to bust a wheel in her whip down to my crib. She kicked in my door stole my dog and she said to me " run run as fast as you can fat man, you won't catch me cuz I'm the ginger bread man. And then she grabbed my dog by the tail with her huge super hero hands jumped off my patio head first. Then in an hour after the door was repaired and back on the hinges she kicked my door back in. She threw my dog across my living room then jumped off the patio head first again. My dog is happier then two pigs in.........shut the front door.

About: I currently have a Sphynx (high maintenance cat breed with very specific needs) so I’m comfortable with tailored routines, diet restrictions, and reading an animal’s particular quirks.. I also grew up with dogs (multiple Border Collies) so I know the energy and exercise they need too. Whether your pet wants constant attention, space, or a specific routine, I adjust to what actually works for them :) I am currently working part time, so I have free time in my week and would love to drop in and take care of your animal(s). Typically I work Thursday-Saturday, but am happy to accommodate as best I can if you need support during those days. In your home, I stick closely to their feeding schedule, walks, and any specific instructions, staying attentive to their comfort in their own environment throughout each visit. *I have a cat in my home, (2 bd duplex house). I am happy to have your pet stay in my home if they’re patient/friendly towards cats and my cat gets along with them -would need to discuss/meet & greet prior to me hosting*

Cole was honestly great to work with. He was calm, gentle, and really respectful of my dog's boundaries, which was especially important since she can be reactive with new people. He followed instructions really well, communicated consistently, and never seemed fazed by her behaviour. My dog warmed up to him really quickly, and I felt confident with the way he handled her on walks. I'd definitely recommend him, especially for anyone with a dog who needs a patient and understanding handler.

About: Hello! I absolutely love cats & dogs and have cared for animals since childhood, starting with my own family pets. Over the years, I’ve gained experience helping friends, neighbours, and clients with dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight care, including caring for a senior blind dog over the course of a summer. I understand that every pet has different needs, personalities, and energy levels. Some pets love long walks and playtime, while others simply want calm companionship and routine. I always try to make animals feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I currently have no pets in my home, so your pet would have a quiet environment and plenty of attention during overnight stays if needed. My schedule is flexible, and I’m typically home mornings and evenings and away for shorter periods during the afternoon. I also love keeping owners updated with photos and messages so you can feel relaxed knowing how your pet is doing throughout the day. I’m attentive, reliable, calm under pressure, and genuinely love building trust with both pets and their owners. My goal is always for your pet to feel happy, safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. If I am house sitting, you will return to a clean and happy home! I would love to build long-term relationships with regular clients in Victoria and the surrounding area. I am pretty flexible as my work schedule tends to vary. I live in the Oak Bay area but am happy to travel for your pet needs. I care for pets the same way their owners would with consistency, love, and attention to detail. For in home stays: pets receive affection, playtime, and comfort. Cats have daily litter cleaning and scheduled feedings at their usual times, while dogs get two walks per day, potty breaks, feeding, and plenty of pets and love. For dog walks: I make sure they’re happy and refreshed with potty breaks, light grooming if needed so they’re clean when they return, and treats or feedings as directed. My goal is always to keep pets comfortable, cared for, and loved just like they are with you.

About: I’ve cared for many pets since childhood, giving me decades of hands‑on experience with all kinds of personalities and needs. I offer calm, reliable care making pets feel safe, understood, and genuinely loved. And yes, dogs think I’m hilarious, while cats simply tolerate me — I respect the dynamic. I’m here for the zoomies and the drama! Calm, patient, and great with shy or anxious pets who need a soft, reassuring presence. I stick closely to feeding schedules, potty routines, medication instructions, and walk preferences so pets feel secure and comfortable. I always send warm, detailed updates with photos so you can feel connected and reassured. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel right at home, treated with the same patience, gentleness, and respect I give my own… plus a little extra, because I speak fluent “treat” and I’m an unlicensed but highly skilled cuddle dealer! Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I’m not working at the moment, so your pet basically becomes my coworker — and honestly, they’re way better company. I’m able to give pets my full attention. I keep a flexible schedule for drop‑ins, daycare, and walks, and I’m available to follow each pet’s specific routine, from feeding and potty breaks to playtime and calm companionship. Pets get consistent care, plenty of interaction, and a reliable presence throughout the day. Drop-ins at your home: I keep things consistent by following their established schedule, giving pets calm companionship, enrichment, and plenty of attention. Walks are safe, paced, and full of sniff‑approved adventures. Daycare is a mix of play, rest, and gentle supervision. When pets stay with me, they get a clean, cozy environment, a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and whatever routine makes them feel most at ease — from free roaming to crating if that’s their comfort zone.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Oak Bay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
