About: I was raised on a ranch with pretty much every animal under the sun except chickens. Horses, dogs, cats, cows, rabbits, ducks, and one very lovely goat. Plus I love working with birds and snakes as well. Any critter, I got you covered! Currently unemployed in Victoria and will be for the month of May. Waiting on a whale watch job lead, and I will begin applying to jobs around the 14th, hoping to be hired for June 1st. Will update as I gain more information. About: The most important part of understanding an animal is reading their body language and observing their behavior. They tell us very clearly what they're feeling/needing. Once they feel understood, safe and sense the loving vibe, everything is calm. I have been an animal lover all my life, with both cats and dogs in my home. I have a very friendly, playful 2 year old mixed-breed dog who gets along with every dog he's ever met. He's gentle with the little ones and seniors and adores finding a dog friend with similar energy to wrestle and run with. If your dog is social, mine will make yours feel right at home. I do not have a fixed schedule, so I am flexible and have time to watch and ensure that everyone is happy and getting along. I have a large fenced yard and am close to several good trails and beaches. Every day will be filled with a fun dog adventure.

About: I’ve had multiple dogs growing up and have helped with many friends and families pets along the way. I love giving dogs the exercise they need to be happy and healthy and live life to the fullest. I can walk pretty much whenever needed. I love spending time with dogs and getting outside in nature. Plus playing outside with a dog is one of my favourite exercises I make sure I’m aware of all the dogs important mannerisms and triggers if they have any and I do my best to meet the needs of each dogs specific personalities.

About: Grew up with three very stubborn terriers that required lots of structure and enrichment. Helped my family take care of them through all ages, from puppy to senior, including special caare such as medications I generally am able to work remotely with internet access as I am a graduatae student at UVIC. I have to be on campus Thursday & Friday 8-4 but I am able to return home to take for walks or bring to campus if pets are comfortable with that. I strive to provide the best environment for your pet and will do everything possible to ensure their comfort. I am unable to take pets into my own home, but I can provide outdoor time or make their own space as familiar as possible.

About: After having my own dog for eight years, who was hit by a car before we adopted her, I’ve learned how to adapt to an animals needs to ensure they have the best care. Alongside walking, feeding, bathing and entertain, entertaining my own dogs I also have looked after many family, friends and neighbours dogs while they have been away. I’ve experienced with high energy, low energy and senior pups. I work part-time and therefore have a pretty adaptable schedule to be able to look after pets. I’m currently finishing up school and will graduate within the next few months and after that should be able to do longer-term care. I have owned small animals (rats and hamsters) in the past and am comfortable with daily care routines including feeding, cage cleaning, enrichment, and health monitoring. While Rover does not list small animals as a separate service category, I’m happy to discuss drop-in visits for small pets with owners to see if I’m a good fit. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available for daytime, evening, and weekend drop-in visits. I can accommodate pets who need mid-day check-ins, consistent routines, or extra attention :) I update my Rover calendar regularly and am happy to discuss scheduling needs in advance. I follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet’s routine. I make sure doors and windows are secure, food and water are fresh, litter boxes or habitats are clean, and the environment is safe before and after each visit. I always double-check locks when entering and leaving. With cats, I respect their boundaries and take time to observe behaviour, appetite, and litter box habits. I provide playtime or quiet companionship depending on the cat’s personality and keep stress to a minimum by maintaining their normal routine. For dogs, I make sure leashes, collars, and harnesses are properly fitted before walks, avoid unsafe areas, and never allow off-leash time unless explicitly approved by the owner. I monitor energy levels and weather conditions to keep walks safe and comfortable. For small animals (such as rats, hamsters, or chinchillas), I focus on proper feeding, clean habitats, gentle handling when appropriate, and checking that enclosures are secure. I offer playtime if approved by you. I keep owners updated with messages and photos after each visit and will contact them immediately if I notice anything unusual. Building trust with you and your pet is very important to me, and I treat every pet and home with care and respect.

About: I am my friends’ go to dog sitter and have done overnight sitting with multiple doggos! I’ve never owned a dog but have been in a cat household my whole life. I like to hangout at home (or your home) as well as go on dog friendly adventures such as hikes and would love to spend some time with your dog(s)! Very much interested in travelling out of town to sit so please don’t hesitate to reach out! I work Monday to Friday with the ability to work from home most of the time! I am also very open to weekend roadtrips to your place. I like routine myself so incorporating your pet(s) into mine isn’t very hard! Friends, family members, and neighbours have always trusted me to walk, feed, and give lots of attention to their pets while they are away. I have trained my own dogs as puppies, and have lots of experience working with with reactive/medically complex dogs. I am currently a full time University student. This leaves me with lots of time in between classes and at the end of the day to spend time with your animals!
