Experienced and Passionate
I have owned and fostered both cats and dogs my entire life, ranging from all ages and behaviours. Additionally, I was employed at the Edmonton Humane Society for almost 3 years, with experience in animal care, animal behaviour, and monitoring medical conditions. Most recently I worked at the BCSPCA for 2 years, providing care, training, and administering a variety of medical treatments. I absolutely love animals, and have a passion for ensuring they feel loved and comfortable. Because animals cannot speak for themselves, it is crucial that we understand their behaviours and act accordingly, which is something that I think is extremely important. I know that pets are part of your family, so I want to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident leaving them with me. Additionally, I know that it can be stressful for a pet to be away from its owners, so I want to ensure they’re comfortable and confident as well.

I highly recommend Maya for pet sitting! She cared for our senior cat while we were away for 2 weeks, sending regular updates, and often staying longer at the house to give more cuddles to our little one. I will definitely have Maya back again!
Maya looked after my two very shy kitties over Christmas. Although she didn't really get to see them very much, I loved getting the daily updates and photos! She also left my my place very clean, which I really appreciated. Would highly recommend!

I understand that each animal has their individual needs and requirements for comfortability, and I always ensure I am meeting them. I have extensive experience in reading an animal’s body language, so I am always tuned into that to make sure they are not uncomfortable or stressed.
Pets
A typical day
We will go on walks through parks, to beaches, and around the city. I love playing with dogs, and will ensure they have plenty of mental stimulation and exercise!
