Heather did an amazing job, not only with caring for Small Dog so well, but also providing picture updates and having excellent communication and flexibility to help me out with logistics. I am so appreciative! Her professionalism and care are wonderful.

Heather was very kind and kept me updated with their walks. She sent photos. Ivan was very happy when I picked him up and they all had a great time. Would certainly book again when we travel to victoria.

Heather and her family were amazing with our maltipoo. Due to his recent neck injury, we were looking for someone who didn't have a pet in their home. We didn't want him to get into "rough play" with another furry peer. He had a great stay, and he got to go out and about with the family. We appreciated the photos that Heather sent and the specific details in her messages. We knew by what she said that she understood our little guy's temperament and personality. We feel our senior dog was truly loved and cared for, and we have made another booking with Heather for an upcoming trip. We found her to be flexible, and she was open to us dropping by before he boarded to meet with her and her family. This gave us a great sense of the home and Heather's philosophy of pet care.

We have had Heather and her family for a year now and we always feel safe leaving her with them. She is always so happy and tired (in a good way) when she comes home. Thank you!!

Heather and her family were amazing with our senior, large and hairy St Bernard puppy. We know this because on other occasions, with different arrangements our puppy has come home somewhat stressed (understandably) - but after leaving her in Heathers care for 19 days, Higgy was calm, content and very clearly well loved. We are very grateful to Heather and her family for first and foremost sharing their love with her. At the end of the day that's what she needs most when in a different environment, love and cuddles! Heather was amazing at communication, sending notes and pictures. I am always a bit nervous about communicating too much, that my timing is off (if we are several time zones away, or if I'm being overbearing) so it was great that Heather kept me informed and updated as to how Higgy was doing. I imagine its not easy to take on a different dog, with different idiosyncrasies, and learn their habits, especially the quirky ones, but Heather and her family seemed to be very adaptable and compassionate with our pup. Higgy received all the care we could have asked for and more. We would use Heathers service again in a heartbeat! Thanks for the endless cuddles and care!

Asking Heather if she would watch Rosie again was a no-brainer! I sincerely appreciate Heather for her kind and caring ways. I had only a week notice for my request and Heather was responsive in coordinating with an overlapping booking to ensure both dog owners were comfortable having their dogs watched at the same time. It worked out and Rosie had a pleasant stay! She was well taken care of and it made for a worry-free travel on my end.

Safety, trust & environment

I am respectful of your rules, routine, and schedule. I believe that owners usually know what works best for their animals, and I’m not trying to fix what isn’t broken. I love animals, I take care of my own home well, and take pride in it. I’m a caring person to both people and animals, and will very much love and respect your animal. Some things to know about me: -I do not give dogs people food, no matter how much they beg unless specifically specified/approved by owner (carrots, for example) -I do not walk dogs off-leash, dogs must always be on leash outside if they are in my care -I walk dogs at least twice a day for at least 45 minutes unless otherwise specified by owner. I generally aim for 2 hours of exercise a day for the dogs. (if this is too much just let me know) -we give dogs lots of love and cuddles, because we genuinely love dogs.

A typical day

I live near a dog beach and dog friendly area. We are quite an active hiking family c especially on weekends. I have an older car and so am not afraid of a little “dog love” in the car, just not vomit or bowel movements. -plenty of dog wee breaks -at least half hour walk 2-3 times a day (aim for 2+ hours exercise total per day) -lots of love and cuddles -one pet at a time -we always walk dogs on leash, dog is on leash with us while outside, if this is a no go for you please seek other care taker (if you prefer your dog off-leash) -no people food will be given to your pet, only what you provide is for safety reasons -our couch and house is pet friendly
