I'm a stay-home dog mom so my daily routine revolves around pet care needs. Usually we do a morning walk, morning and afternoon play time, and another evening walk and/or play time, with breaks as needed to visit the fenced backyard puppy potty. Enrichments like hide-and-seek and trick training, or sniff walks at the beach, are always fun!

We only accept one boarder at a time to ensure guest pups get the care and attention they need. Outside, we have a fenced yard, and inside, we have puppy pens, a crate if needed, and gates to make sure nobody runs up and down stairs or out the door when they shouldn't. Dogs are welcome to sleep in their crates or our bed. Walks are always on-leash. We'll want to meet and greet at least a few days before your pup's stay to introduce doggy guests to our pup in a neutral environment, and will arrange to make that happen. For dog walks, our guy is happy to tag along if that works for your pup too, or stay home if they want more one-on-one walking fun.

We want to meet and greet in advance to ensure your dog and our dog will be good housemates for each other. Your dog's special needs, diet, and preferences are all essential for us to know about, because we want to make sure they feel as comfortable and cared for as they are at home. We'll also want to know if they have particular preferences about how often they walk, or if they're cautious around other types of dogs, so we can make their time with us fun and stress-free for all.
A typical day
Camp Canine, here we come! We're near the beach, so beach sniff walks are a big part of the day. Fetch and enrichment activities like hide and seek and sniff-it-out are favourites. If they're just into hanging out on the couch, we can do that, too. And our bouncy pup is always up for playtime, too.

Small dogs have a special place in my heart! Whether your pup is a tiny Chihuahua, a feisty Yorkie, or anything in between, I understand that little dogs often have their own unique personalities, needs, and quirks. My home is especially suited to small breeds, where they can feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've cared for dogs, cats, birds, chickens, rabbits, reptiles, and a variety of small pets. I'm experienced with puppies and kittens, senior pets, administering medications (including inhalers), preparing special diets, and helping young dogs learn good manners. I can also assist with bathing, tooth brushing, and basic training reinforcement. Beyond dogs and cats, I'm experienced in caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, pet birds such as budgies, finches, and cockatiels, and even lizards. I share my home with a young rescue Chihuahua/Italian greyhound mix who has completed obedience training and genuinely enjoys the company of other small dogs. He's friendly, well-mannered, and knows when it's time to play and when it's time to relax. He loves welcoming other small dogs and helping them feel at home.

We went to New Zealand for 6 weeks. Alisa looked after Lucy and sent us photos. Alisa communicated often and sent us photo’s of Lucy relaxing in the house, playing with Haiko and going on walks. If I asked any questions, Alisa responded quickly. I knew that Lucy was well looked after, and because of Alisa’s care we were never worried and could enjoy our time away. I will only use Alisa and family in future to look after Lucy. I recommend Alisa highly.
Alisa is always amazing with our pup. He really enjoyed his first week away from home. Alisa stepped in when I forgot our food and was flexible when I was late picking him up due to a flight delay. We trust Alisa to take very good care of us.
Ali was a great sitter for our small dog! And her dog Haiku was very respectful and polite. Freya really seemed to enjoy her time there. The photo updated were very much appreciated. We'll definitely be returning!
