About: We are Brenden and Brooke. For the past 4 years we have been travelling and professionally stewarding properties around the world. We are commonly contracted with ranches, hobby farms, homesteads and household - some of which hold more than animal/dependant responsibility due to business operations running on the property. Over the years we have developed our service quality and specialized care as a professional couple. While traveling we organize volunteer experiences that increase our skills and knowledge in order to fulfill hosts and their animal's needs. This fuels our travels and we want to bring this lifestyle to Vancouver island as we network around the area. We pour our time an energy to the animals we are caring for, meaning we will be with them as much as possible over the course of our stay. We have lived in 10+ households with animals, with some experiences being up to 2 months. We will care for your animals as you would. We are able to carefully follow complex instructions. A bonus is that we are very active people, and if you would like your animals to get exercise, we are all about it.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and currently care for 4 cats and a dog of my own, so I understand the daily needs, routines, and personalities of different pets. I genuinely love animals and treat every pet like family. I’m experienced with feeding, walking, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they deserve, whether they’re energetic or more relaxed. I also offer boarding in a safe, comfortable, and pet-friendly home where your pets will get plenty of attention and care while you’re away. I work part time for myself from home, so I’m able to give pets lots of attention throughout the day. My flexible schedule allows me to stay on top of feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins, making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I have 5 acres of space for dogs to explore and play, along with a fenced play area for safe outdoor time. I also have a friendly 2 year old lab to keep your dog company. I’m able to crate dogs if needed, depending on their routine, to make sure they feel safe and comfortable while in my care.

I stick to routines, follow instructions carefully, and pay close attention to safety on walks and at home. I’m respectful of clients’ spaces and keep things clean and secure. You’ll receive regular updates so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for.

About: We’ve always had dogs and currently have three rescue pups of our own. Over the years we’ve cared for dogs with all kinds of personalities, from confident social butterflies to dogs that need a little more time to warm up. We know every dog is different and do our best to make them feel comfortable, safe, and part of the family while they’re with us. One of us works from home during the week, and we’re both around most weekends. That means lots of company, potty breaks, outdoor time, play, and cuddles throughout the day. We live on a fully fenced half-acre property with plenty of space to run, play, sniff, and explore. Our home is kennel-free, and dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable wherever they like. We treat every dog as if they were our own. We are certified in Level 1 Dog CPR and First Aid, and all dogs staying with us must be current on their vaccinations to help ensure a safe environment for everyone.

About: I have had cats or dogs my whole life. I’d love to make your travel easier by caring for your beloved fur babies while you are away from home. I work from home and can rearrange my schedule during the day to stop in and take your pets out for potty breaks or a quick walk or cuddles. I don’t currently have pets in my home, so if your pets overnight here, they will have my full attention. I live in Sidney very close to walking paths and parks for walks and playtime.

About: I worked at my local humane society back when I lived in Ontario where I was responsible for daily enclosure cleaning/maintenance as well as keeping an eye out for any unusual or concerning conditions. I handled the animals and made sure to give them some love while I could. It wasn’t my job to do that much, but I just love animals so much and that job brought me a lot of joy. Aside from that job, I’ve handled pets most of my life. I’ve had cats, dogs, and more personally for 13 years I had a conure, and for about 7 I had a rabbit. Because of this, I’m very experienced with birds and rabbits especially! I am great with cats too, but my household does have one. She’s an old lady that sleeps mostly and if needed can easily be kept away from any other animals. At home I currently live with a cat who belongs to my sister, but I am her auntie and spend tons of time with her and look after her in ways such as helping with her inhaler, helping clip her nails, brushing, and so on. If my sister is away for any reason, she is fully under my care. I have a spare room that is pretty well empty with just a guest bed next to my room in my house, and because I live with a cat with Asthma, I try to keep all spaces (especially that room) scent free. I also have no problem staying at a client’s place for a few nights if we’ve established some comfortability and familiarity. I don’t have supplies or enclosures on my own, so all that would have to be provided by the owner.
