About: I promise to take care of your pet just like I take care of mine. I am a pet owner. I currently have a dog and I grew up with cats. I've taken care of many doggies and kitties, and I even have experience giving insulin shots to diabetic cats :) I have a hybrid working schedule, so I am able to squeeze in dog walks and drop in visits during the day on Tuesdays and Fridays! I'm available every evening as well. I take care of pets by giving them lots care and affection. I like to get to know their personalities, so I can understand them better. Additionally, I'm conveniently located near the galloping goose we can go on long walks! For walks outside my neighbourhood, I make sure to plan our route ahead of time; and I carry treats, water, and potty bags with me :)
About: I would not consider myself the most knowledgeable with dogs - i have more experience with cats. However, I can assure you that I would care for your dog(s) the way that you would. I am fun loving and energetic but also slow and calm when I need to be. So whether you have an anxious animal or an overly excited one, we will have a wonderful time together. I have two cats, one in her old age and the other mid-way through his life span. They are very sweet cats that don't mind dogs and can be kept separated if other animals are not cat friendly. But, at this time I am not offering boarding as a service option. I am home full-time allowing me to devote my time to pet care. I am very flexible and do not require much time for cancellations and new bookings. Please note that I am living in sooke so I may have a bit of a drive and there may be an additional charge for bookings 30 minutes away and further fo cover the added gas expenses. Please note that this would not be costly, but, reasonable. I live on a very large property that is not fenced and have a deck that is fenced. There are other dogs on the property that rarely visit my section of the property. They are incredibly well behaved and good with other animals but it would be very unlikely they would meet. I have a 2 bedroom single wide trailer home that is situated on a partially forested property with a big yard to make use of. However, we do get all kinds of visitors from bears to raccoons.

“Not gonna lie, we were a but nervous about having someone we don't know staying at our house for 3 days! We have never left our dogs with anyone we don't know. Especially our new rescue dog Eva who is afraid of everyone. We were put at ease as soon as we did the meet and greet with Cherish. Eva was interested in her, and even let Cherish touch her, which never happens. They say dogs are a good judge of character! Cherish sent multiple photo updates while we were gone, which was unexpected and so appreciated! She even sat out and had a campfire in the yard one night and let the dogs run and play for hours. We even got a selfie of Eva snuggling with Cherish the day after we left! When we got home, the house looked as clean as when we left. The dogs were happy, and had clearly been taken great care of. We would definitely rebook with Hope! Hope came to dog sit while we were out of town for the weekend. Our dog, Oscar, is a senior dog who needs special attention because of medication, his special diet and gradually losing his hearing and sight. It was a great relief to have Hope come to our home and take care of him while we were all away. We could tell that Oscar had become at ease with Hope by the way he stayed near her when we arrived back. Hope took care of our home and even went beyond by picking up Oscar's poo (had not been done by us in 3 weeks) in the back yard. She let us know when she would be away from Oscar as she had some commitments. She asked questions when she needed clarification about any aspect of Oscar's care. Thank you Hope!
Darcie was an amazing catsitter! We have 5 cats and it was our first time leaving them all since we recently adopted our 2 kittens and I was nervous to leave them, but since the first time Darcie met the cats they were all so comfortable with her. While we were away, she sent lots of pictures and the cats looked so happy and at ease. She was easy to communicate with, she learned the cats schedule quickly, our home was just as we left it when we returned. I would definitly recommend Darcie and happily have her cat sit again!
Trina stayed in our home with our two large senior dogs for a week over the winter holidays - communication was excellent, we got lots of photos and videos and she left our place very clean. Everything was great with Kristen, from the meet-and-greet beforehand to the updates and pictures during her stay. Our animals were very comfortable during her stay, especially Toro, and she took excellent care of them. We definitely will be booking her again for our pet-sitting needs.
Anita was wonderful! Our girl is a dominant, reactive, high strung Shepherd and Anita was very calm and took appropriate control of her as we were preparing to leave the house. We felt very comfortable leaving Mira with Anita and came home to our girl safe and sound. We highly recommend Anita.
