About: I had a large dog for 12 plus years. I love how active and different all dogs are. Their fun personality speaks volumes about each breed! I have a very flexible work day. About: My experience over the years with dogs has been with a variety of different breeds, ages and behaviors. I volunteered fostering dogs at the Victoria Humane Society 2 yrs ago (2022) where I gained a lot of experience with different temperaments and ages/mixed breeds. When they were adopted, it broke my heart so I adopted a beagle, Copper, in 2023. The highlight of my experience was working for Island Miniature Schnauzers outside of Sooke in 2016 for 8 months. My duties were: Home Life training for adopted puppies. This provided the new owners one week of me training the puppy at my home. This included walking on leash for the first time, crate training, schedule for house training, socializing with other dogs and people to name a few.. I provided video and pictures to the new owners to keep them up to date on progress. I also took older Shnauzers who were used to farm life and adapted them to urban life by going on leashed walks, greeting new dogs and people. I also learned to groom puppies and older dogs as well. You can see in all my photo's with the Schnauzer puppies and dogs that I trained while working for IMS. Over the years I have taken care of friends/family dogs and cats at their home. I treat all animals like my very own. I massage them, comfort them them and just love them up! I have a nice sized fenced in backyard for play. There are many trails, beaches and lakes that we go on each day. I'd like to meet first to see if Copper and I are a good fit for you and your fur baby. Please see my IG account for most of the dogs in my care starting in 2016. (copper_the_beagle_trofimuk) Depending on your dogs level of care, adjusting the cost is a flexibility I offer. There are many places to walk close to my house & the galloping goose trail is behind my gate. My backyard is a good size for wrestling, running and playing. About: Hello, we’re Karly and Brent. We offer a safe and welcoming home environment for dogs, in our ground-level suite with direct, walk-out access to a fully fenced backyard, which allows us to have exclusive door-to-yard access for seamless potty breaks and supervised playtime. We are conveniently located just five minutes from Thetis Lake and Mill Hill, providing excellent opportunities for outdoor activity and exploration. Animals have always been an important part of our lives. Karly grew up with a loyal yellow Labrador, and Brent was raised in a home filled with beloved family pets. Today, we share our home with Ace, our beautiful five-year-old Goldendoodle. We have dedicated significant time to his training and development. Ace is a well-behaved and very social. He loves all other dogs and animals. We both work from home Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which allows us to provide consistent supervision and companionship. Each morning we go for a 30 to 45 minute walk and in the evenings we prioritize walking ace for 1 to 2 hours. On weekends, we spend much of our time exploring the mountains and trails of Vancouver Island, often seeking out new local hikes. We truly enjoy welcoming other dogs into our home. Socialization, regular exercise, and individualized care are priorities for us. Our goal is to ensure that every dog in our care feels safe, relaxed, well-exercised, and completely at home. I am currently working full time 8:15 to 4:30pm with a flex day every other Monday. I am available in the mornings before work or the evenings after work as well as on Flex-Mondays, and Saturday and Sunday all day. We live in a beautiful 2 bedroom garden suite in the lower half of a home we own with our family. Our home has full walk out access to a fenced backyard. We are also a 5 minute walk to the Thetis lake and Mill Hill, and a 5 minute drive to a dog a park.

I treat every pup like my own—with love, patience, and lots of attention. Im currently working remotely so have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your pup! I have a black lab that loves to play and is always looking for a new buddy. I live close to a fenced dog park and lots of dog friendly walking trails. I have a dog of my own so I know how scary it can be to leave your fur baby but in my care they will have a furry friend as well as me.

My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent attention, making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and never left alone for long periods. I enjoy having pets around, and I treat every one of them as part of the family while they're with me. My home offers a safe and pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time, as well as a large open green space directly in front of the house that's perfect for walks, sniffing, and exercise. Every pet has different needs, so I always follow the owner's instructions regarding routines, feeding, exercise, sleeping arrangements, and any special care requirements. If your dog is crate-trained or you prefer them to be crated during certain times, I'm happy to accommodate that.
