I am able to accomodate high needs and reactive dogs. I also am a power lifter and don't have a problem with heavy dogs. I book a get to know you and your pet visit before the booking is to make sure we're on the same page and we all get along. I also have experience doing weddings! I work part time so if your dog needs 24/7 care I am not an option for you.

I have a list of questions I ask everyone when we organize our get to know each other meeting. Things like common behaviors that can be a danger if I don't know like say if your pet can open doors, or if your pet has allergies. I also ask some questions around routine and habits just so I have as much of a full picture as I can to do my best to keep your pet calm and comfortable while in my care. Keeping your pets consistent routine can help insure they keep regulated and we have a good time for the entire visit.
A typical day
I'd love to take your dog on an ocean walk or a park walk. Play find the treat with your cat. Lounge around and offer lots of pets. I also do know some minimal training exercises, if we talk about it before hand I can keep some training up if that's something that would work out.

Pet care experience
I have provided pet care through Rover for about five years. Besides this I've had family dogs and other pets throughout my life. I've clicker trained my cat and a childhood bunny. I've been centering my love for animals most of my life. I have experience careing for, training, and teaching children about hourses (your big dog won't scare me). I have my animal first aid including naloxone training. As well I've taken some classes on dog anatomy and have some basic grooming skills. Fun fact: I have given the heimlich to a chicken before. I hope to hear from you soon!

Gwyn is a calm, responsible and professional sitter. Our pets are incredibly sensitive and needy, they got to decide and it was quite obvious they chose Gwyn. It usually takes a bit of time for them to warm up to new people but I was also not surprised based on Gwyn's grounded and intuitive nature. We are very protective of our pets and our home, being able to travel without worry was such a relief. Our shy chihuahua Solo, 3 has made a new best friend that speaks his language. Meanwhile, our 11 year old, sensitive sweet pea RiRi has a new trusted source of snuggles. Gwyn kept our home exactly how we left it and we look forward to having them stay her for future travels. We highly recommend them and will be scheduling more walks on long days for our babies as well. Thank you again Gwyn, your care and kindness is so appreciated and always welcome in the Lemez home.
This review is for the series of 'get-to-know-you' drop-ins Gwynn and I scheduled before I was away for a week that they helped with. My pup is very barky right now and it can be intimidating for some people, but Gwynn and I managed to move through this phase with intention and ease. My little Luga quickly warmed to Gwynn, and after only a couple of brief visits together Luga quickly learned that it is in fact a very HAPPY occasion to see Gwynn ;) This phase of the relationship-building between Gwynn and Luga was a bit anxiety-inducing for me, but Gwynn is so professional and experienced and compassionate and in command of energies that everything went according to plan, and I could not be more grateful for it. Thank you, Gwynn!!!!! <3
Gwynn was the most purrrrfect hooman to help me out during a long work trip and I cannot THANK them and RECOMMEND them enough, genuinely. My pup is very much in the learning (and being loud, and being scared) stages and Gwynn is a *very* calm and compassionate doggy guardian. I felt incredibly at ease trusting my pup was in good hands. Gwynn is also a very knowledgeable dog handler and even helped me work through some puppy problems with their astute observations and recommendations. I will be lucky if Gwynn gets to care for Luga again <3 Thank you for everything you did to help us out!!!
Gwyneth is awesome! Reliable and responsible, she keeps in touch, is flexible and shares great pics so we know Odin is having a good time. Odin can be a bit of a handful, and Gwyneth is not fazed at all, she just stays calm and collected. Thoroughly recommend.
