“She is so good! We had our cat boarding at her place for a couple days and he is well-taken care of! We would get daily updates, photos and videos which we really appreciate. She also put a lot of effort in playing with the cat and make sure he feels like home. Overall, we really appreciate Joy being so attentive to our cat! She is great☺️👍🏻”

“This was the first time I kept my dog with Achraf. He took good care of him, gave him a lot of exercise, my dog had lots of fun. He is very responsive and easy to communicate. He catered to all the specific needs of my dog.”

“Isabella and her family took such great care of our 1 year old pup and really treated him like family! Our dog has separation anxiety and is a bit of a nervous dog in general, so we were worried about leaving him somewhere new, but we got lots of pictures and updates about how he was doing, and he seemed to really love his time. I think he misses the girls ?. Thanks so much for taking such good care of Cosmo!”

“Enka was so loving to our dog while we were away! Highly recommend her as a boarder in the future. Great communication, highly knowledgeable about pet care and easy to work with. The process was so lovely!”

“We were SO lucky to have found Sam for Simba’s 4-day stay right before our trip! Sam and Matt are extremely caring and kind, and Simba loved them the second he met them! Their place is also super cute, and Simba felt at home instantly. You can tell that Sam and Matt genuinely care about the doggos - their love shows in how they play, cuddle, and spend time with the pups. Sam sent us regular updates, photos, and videos of Simba playing, relaxing, and getting all the cuddles in the world. He looked SO happy and comfortable, it gave us real peace of mind knowing how well taken care of he was. They played lots of fetch with him, took him on walks, followed his feeding schedule, and showered him with love and attention. He even got a report card at the end of his stay! We have a hard time leaving Simba with anyone, and it’s so nice to have someone trustworthy like Sam in the city. She truly is your pet’s new best friend, and we’re so lucky to have found her. Thank you, Sam!!!”

“This was our second time working with Allan and Jessica to sit our French Bulldog, Frankie. We were gone for nearly a month for work, and they have always taken great care of her! Allan is really good and quick with communicating, and they were able to pivot easily when Frankie’s medication ran out and we couldn’t sort out a way to get more to them. That was my fault, and they handled it with grace and ease. We’re never stressed or worried when our dog is with Allan, Jess, and their sweet boys!”

“Nancy is a great sitter - very communicative, kind, and pleasant. She updated me often with photos and information regarding our babies🐶 highly recommend! We will definitely book with her again.”

“Rong gave care and attention to Abby. Abby is a sensitive dog and I could see right away she felt calm with Rong. The photo updates put my mind at ease when I was away and allowed me to focus on my event. Thank you Rong!”

“Laura and Christian were absolutely wonderful to our sweet girl Lenny! They were quick to respond, flexible with some last minute changes in timing, sent lots of great photos, and took great care of our pup. Next time we need a sitter we know who to ask!”

“The dogs had never spent time with an outside sitter (in their 12 years). While initially lost, they eventually adjusted to the new surroundings and Lise did a great job caring for them. She supplied pictures every day and told me how things had gone with the dogs. It was a very positive experience and Lise was great to deal with.”

About: I’ve been caring for my own Golden Retriever, Sunny, for the past six years since he was a puppy. Living with a dog every day has taught me how important patience, consistency, and trust are. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Whether it’s a walk, a home visit, daycare, boarding, or house sitting, I’ll care for your dog with the same attention and kindness I give my own. I believe every dog is unique, so I always take the time to understand their routine and help them feel safe, relaxed, and loved. I’m flexible throughout the week and can provide walks, drop-in visits, daycare, boarding, and house sitting. Pet care is already part of my daily routine because I care for my own Golden Retriever, Sunny. I always make time for walks, play, feeding, and giving dogs the attention they deserve. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your dog is doing. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my first priorities. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and preferences before every booking. My home is calm, clean, and dog-friendly, and I only care for a limited number of dogs so each one receives plenty of attention. Sunny is a gentle and friendly Golden Retriever who enjoys meeting other well-socialized dogs. I closely supervise all interactions and always follow your instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and house rules.
“Yuen and her partner was amazing! She responded quickly, sent lots of adorable photo updates throughout the day, and made our dog feel completely at her home. You can tell she genuinely cares—our pup was happy and relaxed.”

“Emma was great. She kept me updated about how Laverne was doing throughout the day and was quick to respond. I would definitely let her sit my dog again and highly recommend to others. Thanks Emma!”

“Sophie was great with Ernie who is a very particular and fussy dog! She respected his space and kept everyone safe and having fun. She shared some thoughtful observations on how Ernie preferred being approached and touched which I appreciated. Sophie took great care of Ernie when he came down with a case of gastro, bringing him to the vet, monitoring his intake and outputs, and ensuring he rested appropriately. When we left to go home, Ernie didn’t want to leave and seemed to be was wondering why we didn’t bring her home in the car with us. I’m very grateful we found her!!”

“Gloria is very attentive to my dog Bodo during his stay. She asks lots of questions about the care and updates accordingly. Her dog Cody is very cute and provides the extra companionship! Recommend ++”

“Amber and Aaron were so great watching our dog Cali! They were very responsive with communication and sent daily photo updates. They took excellent care of our girl for the weekend and look forward to booking them again for our next trip!”

“Diana and Kris did an excellent job. They took good care of our toy poodle Luca who is an active dog and likes to be the centre of attraction. Diana went above and beyond because she was able to teach some tricks to Luca. They consistently sent photos and videos while we were away for 4days and kept us informed about Luca’s well being. It really gave us peace of mind because she was comfortable with them specially with their kids. We were so fortunate to have found a reliable pet sitter for Luca. We highly recommend them!”

“Isabelle was truly amazing! She is incredibly sweet and kind and took such good care of our dog. She is a superb communicator and overall a lovely person. I can’t recommend her enough!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East York
Kruisha was amazing. She and her partner looked after our pets (including 2 dogs, one of which is a senior dog, and 2 cats.) We needed to board them all as we were moving and the details fell through last minute, leaving us homeless for about 24 hours in the middle of a heatwave. Kruisha was accommodating, flexible and understanding at every step. Our plans and booking changed a few times, and Kruisha was always understanding and responsive. As for the boarding itself, the animals LOVED her and her partner. We got frequent updates, photos and videos, and, through a very chaotic and hectic period, the care for our animals was one thing we didn’t need to worry about. They cared for our family like it was their own. Our cat got his meds, our senior dog got a slow and patient walk, while our other dog got lots of play and toys, and the other cat got all the cuddles and naps she’s used to. Means everything to us to have some people we can truly trust when the unexpected happens. I’d highly recommend Kruisha and we will definitely board with her again! Thank you!!

Joy was exceptional at taking care of our dog. She kept us updated every other day and met with us in person to make sure it would be a good fit. Our dog loved it there! Joy is super attentive and great communicator. We are so lucky to have found her! 100% recommend! Thank you for taking care of our Boori! 😊

Kunal by far the best Boarding experience we have ever had with our two dogs. His warmth and knowledge of how to take care of dogs was so obvious, and our dogs immediately fell in love with him. He exercised them, was so attentive and sent photos and videos so I could see how happy they were. Sincerely, he is our (and our pups) number one choice from now on.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
