“Stephen and Vanessa were excellent with our dog Benji and we would absolutely book with them again! They sent daily updates and even looked after him for an extra night at the last minute when our flight was delayed, which we really appreciated. It seemed like Benji had a blast playing with their kids and their dog Chewy. Highly recommend them!”

“Braxton spent the weekend with Jessica and her family while I was away. From the all the pictures that was sent I can tell he had a fantastic time. He almost didn’t want to leave haha. 10 out of 10!!!”

“Can’t say enough great things about Vanessa and her family. From the second we met them I was at ease with leaving Odin with them. When Odin met her dog Leo, they became the best of friends. They treated Odin like thier own and made sure he was safe and had the best time.”

“Kripa is amazing. I got such timely updates, she made sure that my dog was well taken care of. I did not feel worried or stressed at all. And the care for my dog was so good, maybe too good, because my dog didn’t want to leave hahahaha. I highly recommend Kripa & I am looking forward to inquiring for her services again when my dog needs to be looked after.”

“Siddharth and his wife were super friendly and accommodating. They took very good care of our baby Ceasar and sent us regular pictures and updates. I will be boarding Caesar again with them in the future with no worries.”

About: My journey with my own dog sets me apart. We adopted my short leg Border Collie in Turkey from a shelter after she was found injured on the streets with severe trauma. Through immense patience and love, we helped her heal physically and emotionally. This experience has made me incredibly understanding, especially with dogs who might be anxious, shy, or need extra time to feel safe. Additionally, spending a lot of time with my family's and friend’s senior dogs has given me a huge soft spot for older pets. I know they require a special kind of gentle, attentive care. I also absolutely love the boundless energy of puppies! My full-time availability allows me to provide the frequent potty breaks, structure, and engaging playtime that young dogs need to thrive. Since I am currently dedicating my time fully to pet care, I have a completely flexible, full-time schedule. Pet care doesn't just fit into my routine; it is my routine! I am available on weekdays, weekends, and even for last-minute requests. This means your pet will rarely be left alone. Whether they need a mid-day walk, frequent puppy potty breaks, or constant companionship during boarding, I can easily adapt to their specific timetable and daily needs. For boarding, I live in a secure, pet-friendly apartment building in downtown Oshawa. Your pet will be supervised closely and will have the friendly, safe company of my playful short leg Border Collie and sweet Calico cat. I maintain a clean, hazard-free space. When providing drop-in visits or walks at your home, I am highly respectful of your space and privacy, always ensuring your home is locked and secure. Safety is my top priority! I always keep dogs on-leash outdoors, closely monitor their body language, and send you daily photo updates so you always have peace of mind.
“It was so stress free leaving our Ruby with Mandy. We could see how wonderful of a time she was having with Mandy. I will definitely book with Mandy for all of our vacations.”

“Coco seemed to be very happy with Monica and enjoyed running around in her big yard. Monica was very easy to communicate with and responded to messages quickly. She sent photos and videos to keep us updated while we were away. I would highly recommend Monica as a pet sitter!”

“Sharai was amazing with my dog! She was patient, caring, and even helped him learn how to confidently use the stairs while in her care. The progress was incredible, and I truly appreciated the updates and attention she gave throughout the stay. I highly recommend Sharai and would happily book with her again!”

“Of all the people we have left Luna with over the years, Loryn was the best. Usually Luna returns home feeling anxious and atraches herself to us as if terrified that we might leave her again. This time, she was happy to see us but looked relaxed and secure.”

About: I grew up on a farm with tons of animals in Port Hope🐑! So I have lots of experience with pet care and livestock. I have also been dog walking and pet sitting for 5 years outside of Rover. I’ve cared for many senior dogs, and have a lot of experience with different energy level breeds. (For boarding I will only take small dogs under 40lbs) I’m still in school, but I’m free after 12PM on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Please message me so we can find a schedule that works best for you and your pet :) For pet sitting, I am super detail oriented and personally feed my cat raw, so I can be trusted with home-made food and commercial. As I have a very anxious cat, I prefer to not pet sit at my house.
“I had a great experience with Kaksha! My pup stayed overnight at their home, which was clean, welcoming, and pet-friendly. They provided excellent care and attention, sent updates with photos and videos, and spent lots of time playing fetch with my energetic pup. It gave me peace of mind knowing my young pup was happy and well cared for. I would book with her again :)”

Hayley and Jake took wonderful care of our 11 month old English Sheepdog -Henry. Hayley made sure to keep us informed on how Henry was doing and sending daily pictures. When we came to pick Henry up- you can tell he was well looked after as he looked happy and relaxed. My family and I are so glad we found Hayley and Jake - we now have a trusted sitter who will love and spoil Henry when we are away. Thank you both 😊

I’m really happy with the care my puppy received. Carlo spent a lot of time with her, took her on walks, and made sure she wasn’t left alone feeling lonely. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about her well-being, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. She came home happy and relaxed. I’d definitely trust him with her again. Thank you!

Mia had a wonderful time staying with Vanessa and Angelo! They truly cared for her as if she were their own dog. Throughout the weekend, they were incredibly communicative, providing regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. They made sure Mia got plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention, and it was clear she had an amazing time with Leo. We would absolutely trust Vanessa and Angelo to watch Mia again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring and reliable pet sitters!

One of the best and most tentative individuals I’ve ever met. Page took care of our two little ones from A-to-Z with the loving home, loving environment in and out of home walks road trips training I would highly recommend this sitter to anyone who ask. We think you from the bottom of our hearts.

She was our first dog sitter through the Rover app, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took such great care of our dog, and we could tell Jasper had a fantastic time while we were away. She also kept us updated with texts, videos, and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would definitely love to book her again in the future!

Melissa & Nigel are simply amazing. They take such great care of our dog, truly treating him like one of their own. He gets plenty of attention, playtime, and walks. And as an active breed, that makes all the difference. They consistently go the extra mile to make sure his needs are met, which gives us real peace of mind when we’re away. We especially appreciate the steady stream of photos and updates! Most importantly, Nico absolutely loves them. We couldn’t ask for better sitters.

We’ve had Suci host our cats, Yuki and Bijou, twice now, and we honestly couldn’t be happier. From the very beginning, she and her family have been incredibly warm, attentive, and clearly experienced with cats. Yuki and Bijou were well cared for, comfortable, and came home relaxed and happy each time—which says everything. Suci kept us updated throughout their stay, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear she treats every pet like part of her own family, and that level of care is hard to find. We’re so grateful to have found her and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
