Including bunbuns/exotics in cat care, pups aren't the only ones that get love! If you want a seamless and low maintenance experience we can provide that but a meet-and-greet is always recommended! It not only allows the furbaby to become more familiar with us, it's also the best way to see if we're a great fit for your needs and if we think it'll be a perfect fit for us to provide the most reliably comfy care as can be. 📸 First and foremost there will never be 24, or even 12, hours of radio silence. Either one of us will periodically send cute or fun pictures and videos throughout the day— this is non-negotiable! Even if we are told it's not a big deal we just personally feel it's a necessity. We understand how it must feel to leave a beloved family member in the care of someone other than yourselves. This is why we believe communication and updates must be pillars in any pet sitter's philosophy so the pet parents can feel at ease about their furbabies! 💙 Is your pup shy or anxious? No worries, they will be in great hands and feel comfy along the way! (: Being a duo and full time your furbaby will always have a hooman companion at their side so they feel safe, secure, and loved. 💖 For our walking services we provide a live feed that includes activities such as fetch that was included in the walk. Pup parents can rest easy knowing that they're one click away from a quick peek at any time during the booking to see how the walk is going! 🦴 We also make treats! With a background in food sciences, experience in quality control facilities, and the passion for our furry best buddies, we wanted to provide a healthy reward for training or just for being the bestest! All natural, all tasty, and all the pups have loved it! If you'd like to see yours loving a new treat ask and we'll provide a sample baggy! All bookings that extend several days will have one included as a thank you gesture for choosing us- along with a surprise gift that you could potentially already spot on our profile! 🐕 Here are our pup specific experiences: 1. Taking care of pups since we were 12 2. 4 dog household (2 have now passed) 3. Parented medium and small dogs, cared for large breeds 4. Senior care (medication same time every morning, cleanup after incontinence, putting on belly bands/diapers, etc) 5. Blind and/or deaf dogs 6. Dog enrichment activities 7. Pomeranian with alopecia and hypoglycemia *For longer sits: if you wanted a very detailed daily schedule for monitoring we could provide that via sharing on Google sheets/docs. * 💉🩹📝 For intact and medicated pups: Jan and I are welcoming and accommodating to all lovely furbabies. We understand and are considerate of everyone's preferences or medical choices. That said we may add a small surcharge to help with the extra care that is sometimes required with intact or medicated pups. Additional care may include but is not limited to: • Extra cleaning from marking in the home • Extra diapers for females in heat • Tight timing or precise controlled medication regimens • Accommodating specific behavioural patterns 🗓️ Jan and I are a couple dedicated to being a full time care provider for you and your furbabies! We spend all day making sure your furbabies are cozy and comfy, while hopefully becoming one of their favourite humans too! 🌳🥎 We live near 3 different dog parks along with a parkette 1 minute from our home and Riverdale Park is just a 5 min skip away; we have plenty of choices for your best buddy to socialise! Whether that be sunrise or sunset, at our home or at yours, Jan and I are willing to go up to 10-15km away from homebase to make sure our service matches your needs! ⏰ Dedicated, available all day, and ready to check in on your furry loved ones to make sure they are safe and well cared for! We love the adorable furballs (: Accepting mid week or even multi week services if you require it. Jan and I are here to make sure your furbabies are well taken care of. If you need us to go far and/or long we can discuss how our care can service your needs. 🏡 Smoke-free home with no kids and fenced backyard in a quiet comfy townhouse complex! Here is what Jan and I can do if requested: 1. Feed your furry best buddy according to your directions 2. Change and wash up aallll the bowls 3. Walks and check-ins any time 4. Enrichment activities and playtime (tug of war, fetch, etc) 5. Clean up any accidents 6. Bathe your pups 7. Send you updates on any schedule you desire, and however you want it; photos, videos, audio and video calls! 8. Train commands (this will depend on the pet and we will work together to see how we can reach your goals!) 9. An absolute, seemingly endless, mountain of affection and attention to any and all pets!

About: I have worked in a doggie boarding kennel for a couple summers; looked after all kinds of dogs big and small for friends and family. Currently very flexible, working part time and seeking a second job. I am typically available throughout weekdays, but open on weekends at the moment as well. I have a small but spacious studio apartment for short visits that welcomes pets. I also have access down to the beach (approximately a 30 minute walk).

About: I'm a 40-year-old East York resident with a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing & Publishing, and would love to provide a comprehensive service that would also include a mini-story (with photos!) about the time spent sitting and/or walking with your furry friend. Signing up for Rover is somewhat returning to roots, back to when I first went to college, as I was a dog-walker (thinking of creating a business called Space Dog with a friend at the time!), on the side to make a bit of income. However, I recently said goodbye to one of my own best pet friends, a mini-aussie, this past June, who still had a bit of sass even after being 15-and-a-half years old. There is a special-shaped hole and void that never goes away whenever you lose your pet friend, and I also very much understand the specialized love, patience, and medical care that senior pets will require. Examples of senior caregiving / caring for animals with special needs have included administering ever-changing medications, ranging from antacids to probiotics to fish oil to glucosamine to trazodone etc., etc., changing diapers upon experiencing incontinence due to aging (and eventually administering daily medication to prevent accidents), monitoring weeping, non-cancerous tumours with weekly photos to check growth along with daily cleansing around a sensitive anal area, providing full-service care after surgery for actual cancerous tumour removal, learning patience when they slow down in general and experience mood-changes and decreased energy, cleaning up daily vomit when their tummies become very sensitive when they age, learning how to make homemade dog food from my mother-in-law to feed my senior dog, changing their feeding habits every few years to ensure good gut health as per vet recommendations, and sleeping on couches beside them or near to them to ensure they aren't alone and feel comfortable. I've also been around cats most of my life, and the last cat that we had was from the Humane Society, a black cat who had unfortunately been quarantined twice due to ringworm outbreaks during her time there, and as such viewed her time during the pandemic, living with her family (us) in an apartment, as, rightfully, another quarantine time. I also learned needle-felting around this time, and often needle-felted chubby animals, including the cat image attached below, to try and capture their endearing qualities. Finally, every animal needs patience, care, understanding, and support. I have been blessed by being surrounded by people for much of my life, including friends and family who have deeply loved their animals, who have sought to understand their nature and who have taught me how to do the same. My schedule is highly flexible, and as a special touch, I would love to send you an amusing short story/detailed narrative update after every visit (or end-of week summary including confirmation of any medication or behavioural changes, so you can ensure your pet is in safe hands.) Please also find attached a few references (and find their pet's photos in the photo carousel included here) to help you feel more comfortable with your decision to work with me! My schedule is currently very flexible during the week! I am free Monday-Friday, from 10 am until 3 pm, for one drop-in visit for your pet, or walk around the neighbourhood. Please note: drop-ins will include quick services (litter change, food and water refreshment, brushing / bathing, lots of pets etc.), and are not suitable for clients who are out of town. I have experience with separating cats and dogs during mealtime, crating dogs at bedtime, ensuring your pup knows to sit and wait before being served a meal, administering multiple medications at required time etc., so can follow your eating schedule and daily routines you have set up for your pet. If also needed, I am happy to groom your pet (brushing and/or washing your pet, brushing teeth, cleaning out ears etc.), change litter boxes/refresh water dishes, and, of course, dole out a pre-determined amount of treats when they have indeed been a very good pet!

I love walking and would love taking those munchkins for walks and have some playtime. If there are more than 2pups involved, I make sure to take permissions from the parents before confirming they stay/visit. Lots of play time indoor, breaks and then walks.
