“Frederica was very kind and attentive to our kitty. She asked questions when needed and I can tell she genuinely enjoyed her time caring for our girl while we were away. Would def rebook again!!”

About: Hi, I’m Zoe! I’m an experienced pet owner with 6 years of hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs. I’ve raised my own cats since they were two months old and have cared for my dog since puppyhood, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and building trust with every pet. I currently have a 2-year-old Cavapoo who is energetic, friendly, and loves exploring new places. Taking care of him has taught me the importance of regular exercise, mental stimulation, and understanding each pet’s unique personality. I work full-time during weekdays and am available after 6 pm on weekdays, throughout weekends, for dog walks, drop-in visits, and cat care. I also offer weekend boarding from Friday evening to Sunday. I’m attentive to each pet’s routine and always follow owner instructions carefully. I love taking photos and sharing updates, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like my own. I work full-time during weekdays and am available after 6 pm on weekdays, throughout weekends, for dog walks, drop-in visits, and cat care. I also offer weekend boarding from Friday evening to Sunday. I understand the importance of keeping pets on a consistent routine, so I always make sure each visit is reliable and attentive. I’ll communicate clearly, follow your pet’s routine, and provide photos and updates so you can feel confident that your pet is well cared for while you’re away.
About: Hi! I’m Natalia — a lifelong dog lover with over 7 years of experience caring for dogs of all kinds, from playful puppies to mellow seniors. I’ve been the go-to sitter and walker for friends and family, and now I’m excited to open my heart (and schedule!) to new furry clients through Rover. My boyfriend and I have a gentle white German Shepherd, who is very well-behaved and loves meeting new dog friends. So if your pup needs a buddy or just someone to shower them with attention, they’ll be in great company! I’m reliable, attentive, and I treat every dog like my own. Whether you're going on a trip or just need some help with walks or drop-ins, I’d love to be your go-to sitter. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to each dog I care for. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or overnight stays, I can easily adjust to meet your pet’s needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always prioritize keeping your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely — from feeding schedules and walks to playtime and any special care needs. I make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. Whether it’s in your home or mine, your pet gets the same level of care I give my own.
“Shengjia took good care of my cat while I was out of town for a week. She communicated clearly in our first meet and greet about Judy’s needs. She also provides timely updates and photos about Judy’s condition everyday. Thank you!”

About: I bring a wealth of experience as a cat owner and having helped friends with their dogs. I’m passionate about caring for all pets, from playful puppies to senior dogs and cats, ensuring they all get the care and attention they need.🐾💕🦮💕🐈 Pet care is the most important part of my daily routine as a pet owner myself and someone who truly loves animals. I’m dedicated to providing compassionate and reliable care every day. I prioritize safety and trust in every environment. While I don’t accept pets at my home, I provide attentive, loving care in the comfort of your home. Every experience is customized to your pet, ensuring they feel special and comfortable.
“Thank you so much for the long period visits with my cat. Nicole was amazing. She was always making sure that my cat stay healthy and happy. I highly recommend her.”

About: Hi, I'm Manni! As a dog mom, I know that every furry friend is unique. Whether your pup is a ball of energy who needs long walks, or a shy baby who just needs a quiet companion, I know how to adjust my energy to match theirs. I treat every pet with the same love and patience I give my own—making sure they feel safe, heard, and spoiled while you're away. I speak both English and Mandarin, so tell me exactly what your pet needs! Pet care is already baked into every day for me—my schedule revolves around my 4-year-old miniature Schnauzer, and any guest pets simply join our rhythm. Walks, feeding, and enrichment are fixed slots on my daily calendar—everything else bends around the pets. Your dog or cat will simply slide into that routine and get the same calm, predictable care my own guy enjoys every day. Workdays • Morning Early walk, breakfast, quick play. • Mid-afternoon potty break + short stroll—perfect reset after work. • Before bedtime Cooler evening walk (20-30 min), then wind-down time on the couch. Weekends • Longer outings to shaded parks or lakeside trails—always early morning or late evening to avoid summer heat. • Extra indoor enrichment: snuffle mats, hide-and-seek treats, or DIY frozen treats. Guest pets • I host one guest at a time so everyone gets individual attention. • Slow introductions outside the condo; male-dog guests must be exceptionally calm because my Schnauzer is picky about male company.
About: We are a couple wfh, who provide calm, attentive, and reliable care, treating every pet as if they were our own. We’re very mindful of routines, potty schedules, and feeding times. I’ve had dogs since I was a child, so I understand that every dog has a unique personality and benefits from a personalized approach to care. My husband also grew up caring for pets, including a dog, hamsters, a turtle, and birds, which has helped us develop patience and attentiveness with different types of animals. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. Since we work from home, we're able to structure our day around walks, potty breaks, feeding times, playtime, and companionship, ensuring pets are never left alone for long periods. In our apartment, pets are free to move around and relax comfortably. There is also a balcony where they can enjoy some fresh air during the day. We live in a calm, family-friendly neighbourhood, with a nearby park that’s perfect for walks and outdoor time.
“I cannot recommend Jiaying enough! She was incredibly attentive and careful with my pets during my 45-day trip back home. Every day, she sent me plenty of photos and detailed updates, so I always knew my pets were happy and well taken care of. She’s truly reliable, patient, and gentle with animals, and her loving care gave me total peace of mind while I was away. My pets were clearly comfortable and happy with her, which meant everything to me. I will absolutely book her again and strongly recommend her to anyone looking for trustworthy, responsible, and loving pet care.”

“Anissa is an excellent cat sitter. She ensured to follow my instructions and took careful care of my babies. Photos and videos were sent after each session. She even swept the house when she was not required to. I would highly recommend her.”

“Anita is absolutely AMAZING! Before I went away she visited my house and asked all the right questions and learned everything about caring for my 3 kitties. While I was away, she took phenomenal care of them meeting each of their needs. She sent photos and updates every visit. She petted them and played with them and even was able to find my very nervous kitties and entice them to engage with her! She kept everything clean and tidy and put the garbage out and fed the outdoor birds. She’s the BEST and I’ll definitely have her care for my kitties again!”

“Alaia, Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Pasa while we were away! We really appreciate your dedication and the peace of mind you gave us. We returned to a happy and healthy cat, and it was clear that you spent quality time with him. We especially loved the regular updates and photos—they brightened our days and made us feel connected to him even while we were far away. We'll definitely be reaching out again next time we need a cat sitter. Thank you for being so reliable and for treating our cat like your own!”

“Mardi took great care of my cat, Cleo, while I was out of town. She followed all the drop-in care instructions perfectly and updated me via message on how Cleo was doing while I was away which kept me from worrying. I’d definitely hire Mardi again!”

About: I have experience working in a dog daycare and assisting with bathing and drying dogs. I also own two cats and a bird, and I love caring for animals of all kinds. My summer schedule will be quite flexible since I’m out of school and currently looking for a part-time job. It will be my main focus for the summer time. I have a large, high fenced yard with plenty of space for any dog to run around and have fun safely. No matter where, your pets will be kept safe, happy, and loved!
About: I’m a lifelong dog lover with 6+ years of hands-on experience raising my own Shiba Inu from a mischievous puppy into a well-behaved, happy adult. I gave her my whole heart and attended multiple pet training courses with her. After a heartbreaking breakup, she’s no longer with me, and I miss her every single day. But I realized I still have so much love and care to give, and I’d love to share it with your dogs as if they were my own😊. Since joining Rover, and through helping friends care for their dogs, I’ve looked after dogs of all sizes, especially small to medium breeds, from tiny Maltese to senior bulldog. I’m patient with dogs who are new to boarding or feeling nervous, and I’m great at helping them adjust comfortably to a new environment. I also seem to have a natural connection with dogs haha and they usually warm up to me very quickly and love to stay close by🥰I’m attentive, always follow each owner’s instructions carefully, and make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and well cared for with plenty of playtime, attention, and affection. I work from home most weekdays. I’m around for regular supervision and flexible potty breaks based on your dog’s needs. During the day (9–5), I can provide potty breaks in the morning and at lunch, along with 2–3 walks of up to 30 minutes each depending on your dog’s routine and energy level. I live with no kids or other pets, which creates a calm, quiet environment with minimal distraction, great for dogs who prefer a peaceful space or need time to settle in. After 5 p.m. and on weekends, I have even more time to dedicate to your pup for longer walks, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I live alone in a cozy, pet-friendly condo in a safe neighborhood in North York core with lots of families and young professionals around. My unit is on a high floor and sits behind the main street, so it stays quiet with minimal street noise, perfect for pets who like a calm space. I don’t have tall or high-heel furniture, so it’s safe for curious pets who like to jump or explore. My lifestyle is simple and peaceful - I cook lightly, have few electronic devices, and there are no children or other pets, so visiting pets get my full attention. Whether I’m caring for animals in my home or at a client’s, I keep their routine consistent and make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for.
“Esther did a great job looking after our two cats while we were away. She is a competent and conscientious sitter and even gave Jasper his pill. The cats both liked her and I felt very comfortable knowing that Esther was looking after them. I wouldn't hesitate to engage her again.”

“Tannie is so reliable and detail oriented. She is so caring of the cats that I didn’t have to worry about anything while I was away. Would definitely rebook and recommend!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was a young girl and absolutely love being around animals of all kinds. Growing up with both dogs and cats taught me how to understand their unique personalities and needs. Whether it's pet sitting, dog walking, or drop-in visits, I’m here to give your furry friend the love and attention they deserve. I treat every pet like family and will make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care is a big part of my daily life. I'm currently available full time as I’m in between jobs and actively seeking a new full-time position. That means I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet’s needs—whether it's daily visits, extended stays, or last-minute care. With my own pets at home, caring for animals is already a natural part of my routine, and I love being able to help other pet owners feel at ease when they're away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, their comfort, safety, and happiness come first. In your home, I make sure to stick to your pet’s usual routine—meals, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. About: Hi, I’m Maurice. I grew up in the Netherlands and growing up my family fostered rescue dogs from Spain, so I’m used to all kinds of personalities—shy, anxious, high-energy, or reactive. I stay calm, read body language, and give dogs time to feel safe around me. I live in North York and keep routines steady: on-leash walks, fresh water, meds or meals as directed, doors locked, and harness/collar checks before every walk. No off-leash or dog parks unless you ask me to, and we can always try a short walk together first, to see if the dog is responsive to me. You’ll get clear updates each visit. I’m comfortable with large breeds, senior dogs, and pets with quirks or reactivity. I follow your training cues and your household rules. I’m currently working part-time with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for your pets. I’m usually available weekends and weekday afternoons (after 2pm), but I’m happy to adjust—just reach out. Most bookings happen in your home so pets stay relaxed in their routine. I’m calm, tidy, respectful of your space, and happy to do a meet-and-greet first.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Willowdale
Alaia was absolutely wonderful – we couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter for our little boy! Our cat is usually very shy and wary of strangers, but from the very first visit, he completely let his guard down with Alaia – he even let her rub his belly, which is something he never does to others! That alone told us how trustworthy and kind she is with animals. She was incredibly attentive and conscientious every single day – she spent quality time playing with him, gave him treats, and made sure his food and water bowls were washed daily. The litter box and trash were always spotless when we returned, and our home was kept immaculately clean. Beyond the basics, Alaia went above and beyond: she sent us daily updates with lots of photos, kept us informed about his eating and litter box habits, and always responded to messages promptly and patiently. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our kitty was in such capable, loving hands. When we came home, our cat was relaxed, happy, and clearly well-cared for – which is the best sign of all. Alaia even left us the sweetest handwritten card that absolutely made our day. I feel so lucky to have found someone so responsible, caring, gentle, and wonderful on my very first try. I cannot recommend her highly enough – if you're looking for a pet sitter, look no further! Thank you again, Alaia – you're a gem! 🐾

Andrei did a drop-in visit for my cat, Priscilla, and I had a great experience! He was reliable, communicative, and took the time to make sure she was happy and comfortable—not just fed and on his way. I really appreciated the updates and photos, and it gave me peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. I wouldn't hesitate to book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!

Ashley really is the best. We had a trip booked. And and a few weeks before one of our cats was diagnosed with diabetes, so would need insulin And then a few days before we were leaving our other cat had a weird rash and had be on antibiotics and a cream. But no fear, we had nurse Ashley. I was sad to leave them, but knew they were in good hands with Ashley. And then certainly were. Thanks again Ashley

Susan is exceptional with my cats. She is kind, patient, and always takes the time to make them feel comfortable while giving them plenty of attention and playtime. She is also incredibly organized and reliable, providing detailed updates along with photos and videos after every visit, which gives me complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Susan to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Your cats will be in excellent hands.

Jason (Hei Long) provided the best cat drop in visits, each visit i received lots of photo updates of all the tasks and of my cat! I had full peace of mind she was being taken care of when I was away. Thanks Hei Long for taking the best care of Billie, i hope to contact you for my next trip away!

I know my kitty cats would be in good hands as soon as I met Sin Man the first time. She is thoughtful, reliable, and most importantly, really cares about animals. She asked and wrote down every single detail about their habits, toys, emergency vet number beforehand She knows which one is whom since the first day, many people think they are twins regardless. One of my cats have asthma, and unfortunately had one coughing episode during her visit, she described in detail and recorded his breathing patterns, stayed longer just to make sure he was chill and doing okay again. She really calms me down when she kindly offers she could drop by to check in on my boys whenever needed. Words literally failed me and if there was six stars to rate I would definitely give her without a blink of my eye.

Lisa and Ben were great with our cat during their visits. She’s usually pretty wary of strangers, but at the meet and greet she walked right up to them, which made us feel really comfortable right away. Lisa was very thorough, spending quality time with our cat each visit and sending lots of photos and videos. This really reassured us that our cat was being well taken care of. Would definitely book with them again!

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Willowdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
