“Esther did a great job looking after our two cats while we were away. She is a competent and conscientious sitter and even gave Jasper his pill. The cats both liked her and I felt very comfortable knowing that Esther was looking after them. I wouldn't hesitate to engage her again.”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover with 6+ years of hands-on experience raising my own Shiba Inu from a mischievous puppy into a well-behaved, happy adult. I gave her my whole heart and attended multiple pet training courses with her. After a heartbreaking breakup, she’s no longer with me, and I miss her every single day. But I realized I still have so much love and care to give, and I’d love to share it with your dogs as if they were my own😊. Since joining Rover, and through helping friends care for their dogs, I’ve looked after dogs of all sizes, especially small to medium breeds, from tiny Maltese to senior bulldog. I’m patient with dogs who are new to boarding or feeling nervous, and I’m great at helping them adjust comfortably to a new environment. I also seem to have a natural connection with dogs haha and they usually warm up to me very quickly and love to stay close by🥰I’m attentive, always follow each owner’s instructions carefully, and make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and well cared for with plenty of playtime, attention, and affection. I work from home most weekdays. I’m around for regular supervision and flexible potty breaks based on your dog’s needs. During the day (9–5), I can provide potty breaks in the morning and at lunch, along with 2–3 walks of up to 30 minutes each depending on your dog’s routine and energy level. I live with no kids or other pets, which creates a calm, quiet environment with minimal distraction, great for dogs who prefer a peaceful space or need time to settle in. After 5 p.m. and on weekends, I have even more time to dedicate to your pup for longer walks, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I live alone in a cozy, pet-friendly condo in a safe neighborhood in North York core with lots of families and young professionals around. My unit is on a high floor and sits behind the main street, so it stays quiet with minimal street noise, perfect for pets who like a calm space. I don’t have tall or high-heel furniture, so it’s safe for curious pets who like to jump or explore. My lifestyle is simple and peaceful - I cook lightly, have few electronic devices, and there are no children or other pets, so visiting pets get my full attention. Whether I’m caring for animals in my home or at a client’s, I keep their routine consistent and make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for.
About: I bring a wealth of experience as a cat owner and having helped friends with their dogs. I’m passionate about caring for all pets, from playful puppies to senior dogs and cats, ensuring they all get the care and attention they need.🐾💕🦮💕🐈 Pet care is the most important part of my daily routine as a pet owner myself and someone who truly loves animals. I’m dedicated to providing compassionate and reliable care every day. I prioritize safety and trust in every environment. While I don’t accept pets at my home, I provide attentive, loving care in the comfort of your home. Every experience is customized to your pet, ensuring they feel special and comfortable.
“Mumu and meimei both looks well feed and happy when we come back, thanks to Nicole meticulous carings. She also always report any issue regardless is small or big, keep the fur parent well informed.”

“The cats loved her so much I added an extra day of care! I came home to only mildly peeved cats affronted that we would leave so long, rather than truly annoyed creatures plotting our doom. :)”

About: Hi! I’m Natalia — a lifelong dog lover with over 7 years of experience caring for dogs of all kinds, from playful puppies to mellow seniors. I’ve been the go-to sitter and walker for friends and family, and now I’m excited to open my heart (and schedule!) to new furry clients through Rover. My boyfriend and I have a gentle white German Shepherd, who is very well-behaved and loves meeting new dog friends. So if your pup needs a buddy or just someone to shower them with attention, they’ll be in great company! I’m reliable, attentive, and I treat every dog like my own. Whether you're going on a trip or just need some help with walks or drop-ins, I’d love to be your go-to sitter. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to each dog I care for. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or overnight stays, I can easily adjust to meet your pet’s needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always prioritize keeping your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely — from feeding schedules and walks to playtime and any special care needs. I make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. Whether it’s in your home or mine, your pet gets the same level of care I give my own.
“Alaia, Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Pasa while we were away! We really appreciate your dedication and the peace of mind you gave us. We returned to a happy and healthy cat, and it was clear that you spent quality time with him. We especially loved the regular updates and photos—they brightened our days and made us feel connected to him even while we were far away. We'll definitely be reaching out again next time we need a cat sitter. Thank you for being so reliable and for treating our cat like your own!”

About: We are a couple wfh, who provide calm, attentive, and reliable care, treating every pet as if they were our own. We’re very mindful of routines, potty schedules, and feeding times. I’ve had dogs since I was a child, so I understand that every dog has a unique personality and benefits from a personalized approach to care. My husband also grew up caring for pets, including a dog, hamsters, a turtle, and birds, which has helped us develop patience and attentiveness with different types of animals. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. Since we work from home, we're able to structure our day around walks, potty breaks, feeding times, playtime, and companionship, ensuring pets are never left alone for long periods. In our apartment, pets are free to move around and relax comfortably. There is also a balcony where they can enjoy some fresh air during the day. We live in a calm, family-friendly neighbourhood, with a nearby park that’s perfect for walks and outdoor time.
“Mardi took great care of my cat, Cleo, while I was out of town. She followed all the drop-in care instructions perfectly and updated me via message on how Cleo was doing while I was away which kept me from worrying. I’d definitely hire Mardi again!”

“Anissa is an excellent cat sitter. She ensured to follow my instructions and took careful care of my babies. Photos and videos were sent after each session. She even swept the house when she was not required to. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I grew up having dogs in the family so I’m definitely no stranger when it comes to caring for our little fur buddies! I also have experience in walking, sitting and doing drop-ins for friends and family members when they’re away and need someone to look after their dogs. On good days, you’ll see me walking around the streets in North York (with or without a puppy friend)! I can provide services most evenings regardless of days. On most weekdays, I can walk them at noon and evenings, and even early mornings. As for weekends, there’s a lot more flexibility in terms of timing. Dog sitting would preferably me on weekends so I can provide full attention to your fur buddy without having to worry about my work. When I sit a pet, I can care for the pet based on the owner’s requirements and routine. My 700 square feet condo has a huge balcony for some light activities for the dogs. There are a few parks in the area as well and owners walking their dogs are definitely not a rare sight here.
About: Since childhood, I have always been around animals. I grew up with a Rottweiler for a sibling, cared for a relative's guinea pigs, walked dogs with my best friends, and watched my pet fish give birth when I was 10. I travelled all over the city to spend time with friends' cats during my teenage years, which really contributed to my love for pets (and later influenced my decision to adopt my own). I have had the privilege of spending time with and finding comfort in the company of animals of all shapes and sizes. I have a diverse understanding of individual pet needs, personalities, and care routines with all the wonderful pets I had the pleasure of spending time with. What sets me apart from others is that I am comfortable with pets of any size and age, big or small. My flexible job allows me to engage with your pet and care for them as they need. I have always had a positive experience with animals, and I have found it easy to engage and care for them. I am committed to providing your pet with the care, attention, and love they deserve while you’re away (no matter how long it may be), and you will receive lots of cute photos and updates from us until your return! I am currently working a remote and flexible job that allows me to travel and manage my responsibilities from anywhere. I can travel as needed to care for your pets, whether it is for overnight or day visits. I can adjust my schedule to fit the needs of your pets, whether it is waking up early to go for a walk at sunrise or staying up late with a night owl (no pun intended). As a person, I am very kind, loving, caring, and patient, and I believe your pets deserve these qualities in someone who is spending time with them. I am committed to providing them with the care and comfort in their own home, an environment they are already familiar with, and following the same exercise, feeding, and playtime routines they receive from their caregivers. I take great care in attention to detail in all aspects of my life, and I will ensure that the requests and instructions provided for caring for your pet will be followed with the same level of commitment. I understand that for pets, being away from their owners can be difficult (and vice versa), and I want them to feel safe and loved in my care. I am happy to stay in your home and take care of your pet where they are most comfortable - I’m a tidy person and will never leave a mess in your space. Feel free to make requests or ask any questions, and we can discuss further.
“Anita did drop-in visits with my cat for 10 days and I was really impressed :) My cat is very shy and hides with new people. Not only did Anita make sure she at least found and saw her during each visit, by the 3rd day she had her out of her hiding place and they seemed to be buddies by the end of my trip! Anita seemed to really care about my cat, and I appreciated the photos and videos. Highly recommend!”

“Petra must be an animal whisperer because our territorial cat had 0 issues with her. She was prompt, careful, and obviously understands animals and their body language. We will definitely be contacting her again.”

“Jiaying was wonderful to work with! she was super responsive and followed my instructions exactly. Best of all, my cat wasn’t anxious at all when I came home. I will definitely call on Jiaying again :)”

“This is my second time working with Tannie. She’s always so caring to my cats, lets me know the details of the visits and always take care of them so well. She also lets me know if my cats show any signs of discomfort, and help me with solutions when I’m away. I trust her always with my cats:)”

“I wish I could leave more than 5stars! Sabrina gave amazing care of our dog, and was really tuned into his needs - he was very anxious and I appreciate the care she took to work with him. We will definitely book with Sabrina again!”

About: Hi, I’m Maurice. I grew up in the Netherlands and growing up my family fostered rescue dogs from Spain, so I’m used to all kinds of personalities—shy, anxious, high-energy, or reactive. I stay calm, read body language, and give dogs time to feel safe around me. I live in North York and keep routines steady: on-leash walks, fresh water, meds or meals as directed, doors locked, and harness/collar checks before every walk. No off-leash or dog parks unless you ask me to, and we can always try a short walk together first, to see if the dog is responsive to me. You’ll get clear updates each visit. I’m comfortable with large breeds, senior dogs, and pets with quirks or reactivity. I follow your training cues and your household rules. I’m currently working part-time with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for your pets. I’m usually available weekends and weekday afternoons (after 2pm), but I’m happy to adjust—just reach out. Most bookings happen in your home so pets stay relaxed in their routine. I’m calm, tidy, respectful of your space, and happy to do a meet-and-greet first.
About: From the moment they enter our world/life till the moment they cross the rainbow bridge, I've learned so much from these beautiful creatures we adopt into our family. My latest family dog, an energetic and excited border collie, helped me truly understand the importance of stability, love, exercise, and play, especially for energetic or working dog breeds. From puppy to senior care, I've done it all and loved being the two-legged buddy to our furry friends! After moving out to university, I've found myself ending up, in one way or another, fostering cats that have unfortunately ended up with nowhere else to go. Knowing I couldn't turn away a soul in need, I've learned so much more about cats, especially when they're in a new environment/ around new people. Showing stability, consistency, love, and respect has so far earned me beautiful bonds with every cat I've spent time with, whether in my own home or in the homes of others. I'm confident I can take care of your little loved ones and hopefully make your stay away from your home and pet(s) at least a little bit easier! I currently work from home / online, so I can be available any day / time to care for your pet. For overnights / if you'd like me to stay for multiple days, I would bring my laptop to work (I do not use audio / video for my job). So really, the flexibility of my current schedule would likely make booking me easier for you! Since I live in a basement apartment (with 2 cats), I wouldn't be available to offer services out of my own home. However, I make it a habit to take care of daily hygiene (eg. cleaning litter boxes, brushing, nail clipping depending on temperament, etc.), feeding according to instructions and schedules, and ensuring pets get an adequate amount of play and exercise. I've found that the more play and activity an animal does during the day can greatly impact their temperament and sleep.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Willowdale is $25

Andrei did a drop-in visit for my cat, Priscilla, and I had a great experience! He was reliable, communicative, and took the time to make sure she was happy and comfortable—not just fed and on his way. I really appreciated the updates and photos, and it gave me peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. I wouldn't hesitate to book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!

Ashley really is the best. We had a trip booked. And and a few weeks before one of our cats was diagnosed with diabetes, so would need insulin And then a few days before we were leaving our other cat had a weird rash and had be on antibiotics and a cream. But no fear, we had nurse Ashley. I was sad to leave them, but knew they were in good hands with Ashley. And then certainly were. Thanks again Ashley

Susan is exceptional with my cats. She is kind, patient, and always takes the time to make them feel comfortable while giving them plenty of attention and playtime. She is also incredibly organized and reliable, providing detailed updates along with photos and videos after every visit, which gives me complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Susan to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Your cats will be in excellent hands.

Jason (Hei Long) provided the best cat drop in visits, each visit i received lots of photo updates of all the tasks and of my cat! I had full peace of mind she was being taken care of when I was away. Thanks Hei Long for taking the best care of Billie, i hope to contact you for my next trip away!

I know my kitty cats would be in good hands as soon as I met Sin Man the first time. She is thoughtful, reliable, and most importantly, really cares about animals. She asked and wrote down every single detail about their habits, toys, emergency vet number beforehand She knows which one is whom since the first day, many people think they are twins regardless. One of my cats have asthma, and unfortunately had one coughing episode during her visit, she described in detail and recorded his breathing patterns, stayed longer just to make sure he was chill and doing okay again. She really calms me down when she kindly offers she could drop by to check in on my boys whenever needed. Words literally failed me and if there was six stars to rate I would definitely give her without a blink of my eye.

Lisa and Ben were great with our cat during their visits. She’s usually pretty wary of strangers, but at the meet and greet she walked right up to them, which made us feel really comfortable right away. Lisa was very thorough, spending quality time with our cat each visit and sending lots of photos and videos. This really reassured us that our cat was being well taken care of. Would definitely book with them again!

Frederica dropped in on Berlin and took him for a walk, and provided lots of cute photos and updates as she arrived, fed him, and left. I was stress-free leaving my big dog with her because she was kind enough to pop by for a meet and greet the day before, even though the booking was last minute. Berlin had the best time and will see you again soon!

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Willowdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
