Safety, trust & environment
I care for my own dog by spending at least an hour per day to enrich her day with food puzzles, training, treat hide and seek, and play time. I make sure to establish boundaries such as waiting for her meal or waiting in front of the door before we leave for a walk. This also applies when taking care of my clients’ pets.
Information Frederica T. would like to know about your pet
I ask that parents let me know about the following: Does your dog have recall? Is your dog reactive? What are your dogs energy levels? What are some unique quirks about your dog? What activities does your dog like to do? All of these questions are to help prepare me with knowledge! I love working with all shorts of dogs and getting to know their quirky personalities!
A typical day
I will often do some form of engagement exercise with dogs when walking such as giving them treats to reinforce eye contact. I also like to allow for extra sniffing time for dogs to destress and become aware of their surrounding. Depending on the dogs age, energy level and the parents’ preference, exercise such as a run or fetch can also be included in the walk. In the home I like to introduce enrichment puzzles that I bring with me as well as the treat hide and seek game where dogs can use their noses to the fullest.

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Frederica! My top priority is providing you with peace of mind and your furry friends with fun, structure, and safety. I have a passion for pet care and dog training and have owned pets all over the board growing up, ranging from dogs and rodents to reptiles and fish. I have also fostered and rehabilitated retired racing greyhounds, giving me experience with elderly and fearful dogs that have to be administered medications and trained. I have taken dog training courses and have devoted very much time and efforts into raising and training my American Bully, Rosie. As I continue to broaden my knowledge on canine behaviour, enrichment, and training techniques, I’m always happy to share tips and chat about your pet’s specific needs. This goes without saying, but your furry friend(s) and I will be taking plenty of selfies during our time spent together for mom/dad to see. :)

Reviews

Frederica dropped in on Berlin and took him for a walk, and provided lots of cute photos and updates as she arrived, fed him, and left. I was stress-free leaving my big dog with her because she was kind enough to pop by for a meet and greet the day before, even though the booking was last minute. Berlin had the best time and will see you again soon!

Frederica was amazing, it’s unfortunate I couldn’t keep going with the services but wanted to share my experience and review.

Frederika is amazing with my very large and very small dog. She was right on time and went above and beyond my expectations doing a great job wiping my dogs paws afterward. I feel my dogs are in capable, responsible hands with Frederika and I really appreciate it. Whenever I need help again I certainly will reach out and ask for Frederika -she is a gem.

Frederica visited our cats twice while we were away. She played with them, gave them some treats, and sent us some pictures. It was a very good experience for us and our cats, as they feel so lonely when we are not home. Will for sure call her again when we are out of town. 😊
