I grew up with large dogs (husky and labrador retriever) and volunteered at animal shelters from a young age, so I am very accustomed to walking and playing with breeds of all sizes. I also fostered a timid cat until he found his forever home. I have been professionally pet-sitting for 9 years, and have worked with all kinds of household pets, breeds, temperaments, and special needs, so feel free to reach out no matter the circumstances! I currently don’t have my own pets so that my attention can be fully on yours! I love meeting new pets and discovering new personalities and quirks! I know how difficult it is to be away from your pets and your home so I do my best to make sure both you and your pet(s) feel as comfortable and happy as possible. I usually ask about your pets' routine and try my best to follow that. During walks, after passing by their usual or "favorite" places, I like walking down different paths every so often so that dogs are able to pick up new scents and surroundings. Other than physical exercise, I like doing short training sessions where we practice tricks and commands they already know, or maybe new ones!

I will take many beautiful pictures of your pet(s) for you too! I have an Instagram page dedicated to your pets - please let me know if you would prefer that they are not featured! (Identifying information e.g. name tags, street signs will be edited out.) I have an extremely flexible schedule. I'm more of an evening person, and have done a lot of late sittings so don’t be scared to ask! Unfortunately I'm not able to take regular walks (e.g. Monday-Friday 1h everyday), but am great at handling one-time or last minute requests!

Nicole is wonderful and gave me real peace of mind! Super responsive, diligent, kind, thoughtful, transparent, considerate, and so clean & tidy in the home. As a first-time user of an in-home sitter, I was hesitant, but Nicole was a very trustworthy professional from start to finish. My senior cat, Georgie, needs extra encouragement to eat and drink. Nicole was so intuitive and attentive that Georgie not only looked great but she was clearly so happy and thriving (I swear she was showing off her “new bestie” to me when I returned). Nicole is truly excellent to work with and great with providing updates. I’ve already recommended her to my neighbours and I hope she’ll be able to take care of Georgie again. Thank you again Nicole!
Nicole was awesome and super intuitive with my shy cat. She is super responsive, and was punctual, reliable, asked thoughtful questions during the meet and greet, and pays great attention to detail. She is trustworthy and I would definitely hire her again, I am already planning my next drop-ins.
Nicole did a home visit with our dog today. She was so kind and attentive, learned and played all his favourite games and before this did a lovely meet and greet where she asked thoughtful and detailed questions to learn more about our dog Remy and his needs. We appreciated her transparency, her attention to detail and her excellent communication skills. She sent us updates and pictures and we have our next house sitting with Nicole booked already.
Nicole was excellent in taking care of Alex. Given Alex is a senior dog with very poor eyesight, Nicole appropriately tended to her needs and was very caring, kind and patient with her. We received daily updates and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind on our trip. We highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter! We have a challenging group of pets and this is the first time we have left them with anyone outside our family. Nicole was awesome and I would absolutely book her again. She not only cared for the pets, giving them medication, taking them for walks, playing with them, and sending pictures, but she also left our house so clean. Such a pleasure to work with. We have booked Nicole multiple times, our dogs love her! We have three dogs of varying ages, and I feel so confident leaving them in Nicole’s care. She sends regular pics, lets us know how they are doing, and is SO clean and tidy in the house. I hate leaving my dogs behind, but at least I have the comfort of knowing they are being well cared for.

Schedule
SCHEDULE For housesitting, I stay in your home overnight, and two 30-minute leashed walks are included (and as much yard time as needed). Please let me know of your communication preferences - I usually send 1-2 updates daily with lots of pictures. I strive to leave your home just as you had left it, if not better! I know things can happen during travel that is out of your control, so I can take last-minute (under 24 hours until the start) requests and extensions for the usual daily rate, there would just be a small last-minute fee. I am also able to accommodate constant (24/7) care requests where I do not leave your home for any reason - however, please note that this incurs a small charge per day as this requires extra preparation! __________________________________________
