“Setareh, thank you so much for looking after Cora and Cheri while we were away. You were so kind and thoughtful to them and even though we were away only for a couple of nights, you kept us updated throughout and it was easy to see why the girls loved you so much 💕”

“My husband and I were very happy. Aileen kept in touch with us. Sent us many photos, kept both of our fur babies happy and safe. We are extremely impressed with her care and communication. We will book with her again.”

About: Ive had cats my entire life and I had a German shepherd mix when I was in my 20s. I trained her and worked with a trainer when she was a puppy and she was a great dog. I work from home most days so I’m able to walk or spend time with animals during the day. I can also do some evenings. I have a fenced yard, a nice big house for them to roam around and explore. I can gate the stairs if they’re unable to climb them and they would still have a big space to be in.
“Riley took great care of my cat during the drop-in visits! She was very attentive, communicative, and made sure my cat was well looked after while I was away. I really appreciated the updates and photos. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Joanna is just the best! She checked in on my two boys daily while I was out of town for a week. She was so thorough with understanding their needs and made sure they were given lots of love and playtime at each drop-in visit, in addition to feeding them, changing their water, and emptying their litter box. You won’t find a better petsitter! I’d give ten stars if I could!”

About: I have always loved spending time with animals and caring for pets. I have experience taking care of dogs by walking, feeding, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and safe. I understand that every pet has a different personality and routine, so I always try to be patient and adapt to their needs. I currently work part-time and love spending my free time with pets. I have a flexible schedule and can provide care during my available hours, including walks, visits, and quality time with your pets. I’ll always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special needs.
About: Although I'm new to Rover, caring for my own dog, Latte, has given me hands-on experience with the responsibilities of being a dedicated pet owner. From daily walks, feeding, grooming, and playtime to monitoring health and maintaining a consistent routine, I understand that every pet has unique needs and deserves patience, love, and attention. Latte is a friendly, well-socialized dog who gets along well with both dogs and cats, which has also given me experience introducing and supervising positive interactions with other pets. Because I work fully remotely, I can provide plenty of companionship, regular potty breaks, exercise, and close supervision throughout the day. Schedule can be adjusted upon request. Your pet's safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I live in a clean, tidy, and pet-friendly condo in Forest Manor, with plenty of nearby green spaces and dog parks for enjoyable walks. Since I work fully remotely, your pet will have constant supervision and won't be left alone for long periods. I understand how important it is to earn your trust, so I'll follow your pet's routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions carefully. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for every guest, I only accept pets that are friendly, house-trained, and potty trained. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—just like they're part of the family.
“Yi-Chen helped take care of my cat for three days and did a great job looking after her! She took so many photos during each visit and always made sure to let me know when she arrived and when she left and locked the door. My cat looked like she really enjoyed the experience!”

“Petra must be an animal whisperer because our territorial cat had 0 issues with her. She was prompt, careful, and obviously understands animals and their body language. We will definitely be contacting her again.”

“Sherry looked after my 2 cats Romeo and Jasper while I was away on holidays. My first time leaving them I was very nervous ! Sherry kept me updated with pictures of my fur babies , was responsive to my questions and just put my mind to ease knowing they were in good hands. I will definitely use Sherry again!”

I live a very active life style so I'm ready to bring the bring high energy fun but I'm also just happy to chill and cuddle if thats more your pets speed. I am happy to take dogs for walks and maintain cleanliness around your home. I am comfortable with litterboxes and other bathroom habits. I can easily and happily follow your pets many routines.
About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My experience began with my childhood cat, Uncle Shay, and later grew through caring for Maya, a Basset Hound and Rottweiler mix, and Fred, a Rottweiler. Over the years I've learned that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and way of communicating, and taking the time to understand those differences is one of the most important parts of providing great care. 've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My experience began with my childhood cat, Uncle Shay, and continued with two wonderful dogs, Maya, a Basset Hound and Rottweiler mix, and Fred, a Rottweiler. Growing up with them taught me that every pet has their own personality, routine, and way of communicating, and that the best care starts with taking the time to understand them as individuals. Outside of Rover, I'm a member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, where responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail are part of everyday life. I'm also building a veterinary-related business, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for preventative care, client communication, and creating a safe, low-stress experience for every pet. One thing that sets me apart is my approach before a booking even begins. Every new client receives a structured meet-and-greet where I learn about your dog's routine, personality, medications, behavioural triggers, emergency contacts, favourite activities, feeding schedule, and any special instructions. Rather than providing one-size-fits-all care, I tailor every visit to your pet's individual needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk or caring for them while you're away, my goal is simple: to treat them with the same care and attention I'd want for my own pets. I'm based near Yonge & Finch and primarily serve North York and neighbourhoods along Toronto's Line 1 subway, including: • Willowdale • North York Centre • Newtonbrook • Lansing • Yonge & Sheppard • York Mills • Lawrence Park • Yonge & Eglinton • Davisville • Midtown Toronto • St. Clair • Summerhill • Rosedale • Yorkville • The Annex • Downtown Toronto If you're outside these neighbourhoods, feel free to reach out. Depending on my schedule, I'm often able to accommodate other areas as well. My schedule is flexible with advance notice, allowing me to accommodate both daytime and evening bookings throughout most of the week. I work part time on my veterinary business, giving me flexibility to provide dependable pet care around my existing commitments. I'm generally available during the day and evenings, with the exception of Thursday evenings. Your pet's safety, comfort, and wellbeing always come first. Before every booking, I take time to understand your pet's daily routine, medical history, medications, exercise needs, favourite activities, behavioural tendencies, and any special instructions. I also review leash routines, home access, emergency contacts, and safety considerations so every visit goes as smoothly as possible. During walks and visits, I provide constant supervision, use positive reinforcement, carefully secure doors, gates, and leashes, and follow your instructions closely. I pay attention to details that can make a big difference, from monitoring weather conditions and avoiding hazards to recognizing changes in behaviour or energy levels. You'll receive regular updates, photos, and messages throughout each visit so you always know how your pet is doing. I believe consistency creates confidence, so I work hard to keep your pet's routine as familiar and stress-free as possible while you're away.
About: We are a couple wfh, who provide calm, attentive, and reliable care, treating every pet as if they were our own. We’re very mindful of routines, potty schedules, and feeding times. I’ve had dogs since I was a child, so I understand that every dog has a unique personality and benefits from a personalized approach to care. My husband also grew up caring for pets, including a dog, hamsters, a turtle, and birds, which has helped us develop patience and attentiveness with different types of animals. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. Since we work from home, we're able to structure our day around walks, potty breaks, feeding times, playtime, and companionship, ensuring pets are never left alone for long periods. In our apartment, pets are free to move around and relax comfortably. There is also a balcony where they can enjoy some fresh air during the day. We live in a calm, family-friendly neighbourhood, with a nearby park that’s perfect for walks and outdoor time.
“Undoubtedly the best pet sitter in the area! My cats are extremely shy, but she managed to win them over in just one visit. She is incredibly flexible and always goes above and beyond to accommodate her clients' needs.”

About: I am honoured to have been trusted with the care and custodianship of cherished pets, furry, scaly, and slimey, since I was a young child, which has given me invaluable experience and skill. Whether you need occasional help with walks, feeding, or sitting while you are away, I'm your gal! I've also got lots of exotic pet experience (I have three bunnies myself, and many aquaria) as well as experience caring for diverse houseplants and gardens. I pride myself in meeting the needs of even the most specialized critters, big or small, and look forward to providing the best experience for your pets, especially those that need a little extra love. I will make my schedule work with yours and look forward to talking soon! I am a mechanical engineering student, so my schedule is very flexible. I walk, cycle, and TTC, so no need for parking! I love having the opportunity to integrate furry friends into my routine. I am a seasoned carer for my three buns (dusty, soup, and drosophila), gerbil (miso), leopard gecko (artemis), and have had many hamsters. I maintain several freshwater aquaria with my partner, and have TONS of plants. I will follow your specifications and requests to a tee, and can be contacted on my cell whenever you need. I am also seasoned in housekeeping, should that be a plus!

Frederica dropped in on Berlin and took him for a walk, and provided lots of cute photos and updates as she arrived, fed him, and left. I was stress-free leaving my big dog with her because she was kind enough to pop by for a meet and greet the day before, even though the booking was last minute. Berlin had the best time and will see you again soon!

Terrence was great! He came to my house twice a day for five days to walk and care for my dog while I was away. He sent regular updates and photos, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. My dog was clearly very happy and well cared for—and when I got back, I could see how excited he was to see Terrence again. I would definitely book him again.

Arya took such great care of my puppy and kept me updated the entire time. She was gentle, patient, and very attentive. My puppy felt comfortable with her. I really appreciated the frequent updates and photos — it gave me so much peace of mind. Truly dependable, and I’m very pleased with her service.
Hazel is almost 13 and this was the first time I have used a dog walking service. I was nervous. I felt better immediately when I met Ali for the "meet and greet". I was out for a long day yesterday and Ali came twice to walk and feed and visit with Hazel. I got messages and photos after each visit and came home to a happy dog. I am very pleased with Ali and hope to continue long term with his services.

Laura did a great job with Bobo and Lala! Taking care of a 5-month-old puppy can be challenging, but she handled it really well. Lala (the puppy) had a small accident in the crate, but she cleaned it up right away. I really appreciate her coming over to keep my dogs company while I was at work. Overall, very satisfied with her service and would definitely book again!

It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
