“Wing Shan is super responsive and helpful during last minute drop-in requests. She understands details left for her to care for my kitties :) Please support her and you won’t be disappointed ;)”

“This was our first time leaving Lola completely on her own, and without the company of anyone she knew, so I was naturally worried about how she would be while we were away. Angela totally put my mind at ease, and I knew Lola would be in good hands. Communication was great, and especially appreciated when a “technical issue “ arose. Most important of all, we came home to a happy, healthy kitty. Thank you Angela! 😻”

“Christy was absolutely amazing! She followed every single instruction very carefully and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She took such great care of my cat and was very attentive and responsible throughout. I could tell my cat was comfortable and well looked after. I really appreciate her effort and kindness — I will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

About: Hello, I'm Ansley. I've been looking after my own cats since they were three months old. I have 2 cats at home and I’ve taken care of cats with special medical needs. As a devoted pet lover, you can trust that your beloved companion will receive exceptional care and affection while you’re not around, ensuring their happiness and well-being. For me, pet care is a big part of my daily life—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. Each day, I make sure there’s time set aside for feeding, fresh water, and playtime, or just cuddling on the couch. I clean up after them regularly, like tidying up litter boxes or bedding, and if they need grooming or medication, I handle that too. It’s not just a task for me—it’s a chance to connect with them and make sure they’re happy and comfortable. I work their routines into my day naturally, so it feels seamless and personal for both of us. I ensure all pets feel safe, loved, and well-cared for in any environment. Whether in my home or a client’s, I prioritize maintaining their routines, providing daily feeding and hydration, exercise and play, and hygiene maintenance, such as cleaning litter boxes and grooming when needed. I recognize that each pet has unique needs and personalities, so please share your pet’s routines and preferences so we can create a comfortable, stress-free environment tailored just for them.
About: I've been boarding dogs in my home for over a year, welcoming everything from gentle giants like Samoyeds, Alaskan Malamutes, Huskies, and Cane Corsos to sweet little Shih Tzus, Malteses, and Miniature Poodles. Big or small, every dog gets the same warmth, attention, and care — my home is their home. I also have experience with cat drop-in visits, stopping by to feed, play, and tidy up so your cat stays happy and comfortable in their own familiar space. What sets me apart is that I genuinely love all kinds of animals and take the time to learn each pet's personality and routine. You can count on me to treat your furry family member like my own. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine as a university student who studies from home. Most days I'm around the house, which means your pet always has company and attention throughout the day. My only full days away are Tuesdays and Fridays, when I have on-campus lectures from around 8 AM to 6 PM, but the house is never left empty. My household members are experienced with pets and are always home to ensure your furry friend is looked after, comfortable, and never alone. On Mondays and Wednesdays I have morning lectures, so I'm back home around 3 PM. Thursdays and weekends I'm completely free and fully available. My home is a safe, spacious, and welcoming environment for pets of all sizes. We have a fully fenced yard where dogs can run, explore, and burn off energy with peace of mind. I also share my home with a friendly cat, when boarding larger dogs she's completely comfortable keeping to herself upstairs, so there's no stress for either animal. Most importantly, I believe every pet thrives best when their routine stays as close to normal as possible. I'm happy to follow your feeding schedule, walking habits, house rules, or any other preferences you have. Whatever helps your pet feel at home.

About: Hello! I’m Seray! I’ve been taking care of cats and dogs for a very long time. Although I possess years of experience and skill taking care of cats, I work at a shelter where I deal with all types of dogs. I bring lots of medical and training knowledge as a supervisor at an animal shelter. If you need someone to administer medication to your animal, keep them company, walk them or train your new pet, I will be glad to help! On my days off (usually weekdays) or when I am back from work; I’m glad to provide care for your pets. Usually early mornings or late evenings, feel free to message me for other times. I always recommend crate training to dog owners and a safe space for cats to frequent in emergency situations. Training your pet to gather at a muster point is so beneficial. I always pet proof and remove garbage, food and chemicals away from surfaces they can access. I also avoid giving dogs bones without supervision as it can cause choking or dental fractures. I always keep the door closed and am very careful with door routine. I always provide a detailed report of the walk at the end of the shift in addition to stool score and medical concerns.
About: Hi! My name is Monique. I bring genuine love, patience, and connection to every animal I care for. Animals are more than pets, they’re family. I treat the ones I care for with the same respect, attention, and affection I would my own. I am trained in dog CPR and First Aid, which gives owners added peace of mind knowing their pet is in safe and capable hands. I also grew up with a beautiful black and brown male Doberman Pinscher named Ninja. I’m comfortable with larger breeds and understand the importance of structure, exercise, and attentive care. My experience started young, caring for family members’ and neighbors’ pets, and I’ve always loved being around animals. Ninja regularly had playdates with other dogs, which helped me learn even more about socialization, behavior, and how different dogs interact. I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks, reinforcing positive habits, and keeping them active through walks, play, and mental stimulation. My favorite games to play with dogs are hide and seek and fetch. I also love to see how happy they get when they hear the word "walk". The excitement is very adorable and in return brings me great joy. I don't currently own a dog, but I’m happy to regularly help care for two beloved family dogs who visit on weekends. A sweet female senior Shih Tzu and an energetic six-year-old female Giant Schnauzer. I treat them like my own, and caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities has given me valuable hands on experience. From providing gentle attention and comfort to senior pets to keeping active dogs engaged and happy, I understand that every dog has unique needs and deserves loving, reliable care. I am available full time for your pet. Pet care fits well into my daily routine since I have a flexible schedule and can provide consistent attention throughout the day. I’m available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends and can accommodate different care needs as required. Pets in my care are provided with a safe, structured, and attentive environment. I provide trustworthy care and make sure every walk and visit is safe, positive, and stress free. I can also care for pets in your home, following all instructions and specific needs you provide.

“Lorena and Mark were great! They arrived on time, we’re very respectful with my home and instructions. They gave my guy Ben all the love and play time he required and sent me videos and photos to keep me updated. Thank you!!”

About: Ever since I was a little girl I was obsessed and when I mean obsessed I was OBSESSED with animals, more specifically dogs. I would spend my summers volunteering at the OSCPA, I would babysit my neighbours cats and dogs, and try everything in my power to get my parents to get me a dog of my own! When I was 11 I was attacked by a dog and when getting stitched up the only thing I wanted for being so brave was “my own puppy” fast forward two months later and my best friend came into the picture. I have a 13 year old australian labrador who truly is my side kick and best friend. When I was 20 I also fostered a dog from Texas who had been neglected and abused. He found his forever home with the help of me. My love for animals is really true. I hope you know I would do the same for your furry friend. Anytime Anyday works for me. I currently am at home doing school so whatever time you need I will 100% be able to accommodate to you! With my own doggy I would treat yours the same as mine. With love, kindness, silliness, and most importantly keep them safe and well and healthy!
About: I specialize in caring for friendly, calm, and well-mannered dogs in a quiet home environment and beautiful, low traffic neighborhoods. We don’t have pet and your pet will be the ONLY VIP guest in my home. No stress from other dogs, 100% focused attention. My approach is built on reliability and structure: • Routine Consistency: We strictly follow your feeding schedules, and potty breaks to minimize anxiety and house training accidents. • Safety First: Walks are always leash-secure and planned around quieter, low-traffic routes in our immediate neighborhood. My priority is preventing incidents, not reacting to them. • Clear Communication: You will receive detailed photo and written updates daily, covering their mood, appetite, and activity level. I’m a part-time graduate student. So I’m home most of the time. I also have a car and can drive to places needed. Here are the key blocks: • Mornings (7-1 PM): Structured walk, meal prep, and supervised rest during my focus work/study hours. • Afternoons (1-5 PM): Potty breaks, and active companionship from my partner and me. • Evenings (5 PM On): Dinner, a longer structured walk, and quiet wind-down time before bed. In short: Your dog receives attentive care. Consistency and safety are our priorities. Me and my partner live in a house without pets. Unlike sitters who manage multiple dogs from different homes, I limit bookings to one family's pet at a time, ensuring 100% focused attention and minimizing external unsafe factors. Although I have a backyard, for maximum safety and security, I do NOT leave dogs unsupervised in the backyard. All outdoor time consists of active, leashed walks in our beautiful, quiet neighborhood. This ensures zero risk of escape and keeps your pup clean and safe.
“Clinton gave us detailed updates with humor and diligence. When the shy cat would not emerge he made an effort to find him to see if he was okay. He also noted the amount of food that was left which helped us to make meal plan decisions for finicky felines.”

About: 🐾 Animal Experience I have over 12 years of hands-on experience caring for animals, including dogs and cats. In my home country, I was actively involved in rescuing and caring for animals in need, helping them recover, rehabilitate, and find safety and comfort again. Through this experience, I have learned how to handle animals with different temperaments, ages, and emotional needs, from shy and anxious pets to very active and social ones. I developed a strong sense of patience, observation, and calm energy when working with animals. This long-term experience has given me the ability to quickly understand each pet’s behavior and respond in a way that makes them feel safe, respected, and cared for. As I am home full-time, I can adapt my daily routine to each dog's individual needs, providing constant companionship, supervision, and personalized care throughout their stay. Mornings: We start the day with a safe, supervised walk around the neighborhood, followed by breakfast and some time to settle in comfortably. During the day: I stay home throughout the day, so dogs are never left alone for long periods. They enjoy supervised playtime in our fully fenced private backyard, along with plenty of indoor companionship, relaxation, and personalized attention. I always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for according to their usual routine. Afternoons and evenings: We go for a second walk to help them burn energy and maintain a balanced routine. Afterward, they can relax and enjoy family time indoors. I also send daily photo and video updates so owners can stay connected and have peace of mind while they are away. My Home & Care Policy To provide a safe, calm, and stress-free environment, I only accept dogs. My home features a fully fenced private backyard where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time under supervision. We are a quiet, family-oriented household with a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment. My husband is a veterinarian, which reflects our family's love and respect for animals; however, I am the primary caregiver and personally responsible for the daily care and attention of every dog in my home. My goal is for every guest to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and truly at home during their stay. 🐾❤️ 🐾 Safety, Trust & Environment The safety and well-being of every pet is my top priority. I provide a calm, structured, and closely supervised environment where pets are never left unattended and always feel protected and cared for. Trust is built through consistency, patience, and attention to detail. I take the time to understand each pet’s needs, routines, and comfort levels so they feel secure and relaxed during their stay. I also offer a clean, smoke-free, and environmentally friendly home with access to a private fenced green yard and nearby parks. This allows pets to enjoy fresh air, nature, and safe outdoor stimulation in a controlled and responsible way. My goal is to create a peaceful balance between safety, trust, and a healthy environment where pets can feel at home, calm, and happy.
“Yuqing was absolutely wonderful while taking care of my two cats during our vacation. She was very responsible and attentive at every visit — always making sure to clean the litter box, change food bowls, refill water, and spend time playing with them. She also carefully observed their behaviour and promptly updated me on how they were doing. I especially appreciated the adorable photo updates — more than 25 pictures each time! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my cats were in such caring hands. Highly recommended!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Markham
Lin and her husband were amazing. They are the sweetest most caring people and that’s exactly who you want watching over your pet. They were so attentive to Winnie, responsive, set updates and pictures. We’re so glad Lin and her husband were our first experience with Rover.

Susan and Gordon are dog people and we’re really in tune with our dog’s rescue history and needs. They were lovely to meet, professional, great communicators, and respectful of our home and dogs routines. We really appreciated the daily text check-in’s and photos while we were abroad. The peace of mind and collaboration with our family (who provided the overnight care) made it possible to celebrate a milestone occasion and a happy dog grounded in his home environment. We would happily recommend them and will be making future requests. Many thanks Susan and Gordon for giving us such a special trip!!!
As a nervous pet-parent, I couldn’t be more blessed to have found Vanessa to look after my dog when I’m away. Her impressive experience and love of animals showed during our meet and greet and when she looked after our little guy. He adores her! I’ve already rebooked her for our next trip away and I’m reassured having her look after him.

Mark was amazing with Koa, he loved him! Koa is a german shepherd mix and has a lot of personality to him and can be hard to handle if you are not experienced, often finding people to watch him or leaving him with anyone makes me anxious, but Mark did an amazing job with him. He is very knowledgeable and shows that he is experienced, he knew how to handle Koa perfectly. He kept me up to date with a lot of photos and videos which i greatly appreciated, Koa looked so happy in every one. I would definitely highly recommend to book with them, I felt safe and comfortable leaving my baby with him. He was also very respectful to my home kept it clean and everything. I would definitely be booking again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
