I always recommend crate training to dog owners and a safe space for cats to frequent in emergency situations. Training your pet to gather at a muster point is so beneficial. I always pet proof and remove garbage, food and chemicals away from surfaces they can access. I also avoid giving dogs bones without supervision as it can cause choking or dental fractures. I always keep the door closed and am very careful with door routine. I always provide a detailed report of the walk at the end of the shift in addition to stool score and medical concerns.
