About: I started working with small animals in high school as a vet assistant, then loved them so much I went to school for animal biology. I gained valuable knowledge working in a fast paced veterinary referral hospital for 8 years. I've medicated seniors, walked dogs and house sat for all variety of clients in the past. Now I'm a busy mom of 2 human babies + 1 furbaby, and a shift-worker, who would love to meet your fur babies! I am a full time shift worker. My kids are in daycare full time so my schedule is busy but flexible. Available week days between 930 and 330. Given that I only offer drop-in visits and/or walks at this time, I will only be in your home for a short period of time. If you could leave me written instructions how best to care for your pet, then I can leave you messages as I leave as well. 😊

I understand that every pet is different and has different needs. I look forward to hearing from you as the owner the best way to take care of your pet.

About: At this time, I will only be accepting one dog at a time. I do have a resident dog in my home, but she is very low maintenance. That means your dog will get my (almost!) undivided attention. I have lots of experience with taking care of dogs of all backgrounds from fostering and dogsitting, including puppies. I'm very in tune with the needs of dogs. I have taken care of dogs of all sizes, from 10 pounds to 50 pounds. I love sending lots of pictures and videos throughout the day (although I am not a professional photographer!) to give the owners updates. I work from home so I'm able to keep my eye on your dog all day. Note that for doggie day care, it will be during the hours of 7am to 7pm. Any hours beyond this range can still be accommodated for but extra rates may apply. Feel free to discuss with me! I am currently working from home, so I will have lots of time for your furry children. I have a fenced backyard and would be able to take the dogs out for potty breaks during the day. I have a fenced yard and my own dog of 5 years. I have doggie gates in my house to separate if needed, and can put my dog in another part of the household or crate her, if needed.

About: I’ve always been the go-to pet sitter for family and friends, earning their trust to care for their beloved animals. I spent a month living with my sister’s Mini Pinscher and Bedlington Terrier, gaining experience managing their high-energy routines, including daily walks and consistent feeding schedules. I had experience in a year-long boarding of a tabby cat for a friend, mastering feline care and basic grooming. I can’t wait to meet more furry friends and give them the love and attention they deserve! I provide services in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and those secret languages only the little cuties understand. I work from home two days a week and am usually home during weekends, giving me plenty of flexibility to dedicate to caring for your pets. Walks, play sessions and cuddles could be tailored to your needs. While I have more availability on these days, I’m also happy to accommodate weekday requests to meet your schedule. I closely follow any feeding, medication, or exercise routines you provide to ensure continuity in their care. I’m more than happy to provide updates and photos to reassure you that your furry friend is happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. For cat boarding, I'm living in a house with a fenced yard by myself. The house is quiet all the time. For house sitting, I'll treat your place with respect, ensuring everything is left clean and tidy.

We booked 2 drop-in visits with Lois so we can enjoy dinner in Banff without our dogs, Maggie and Kevin. Communication was excellent and Lois was very flexible with the drop-off and pick-up times. We felt comfortable leaving Maggie and Kevin in Lois’ care. During dinner, Lois would send picture and video updates of their activities which we appreciated. Our energetic puppy was happy and exhausted at pick-up. We would book with Lois again.

About: My dog recently passed away at 14.2yo, before he went, he's a chronic patient of Osteopathy. I had experience taking him in and out of the vets, acupuncture, etc. I have a lot of patience and love for pets, especially chronically ill pet babies. I want to pass on love and care to other animals. I also kept a turtle at home for over 20 years. You can trust me 100% when your little kid is with me. I understand our pets mean everything to us, and we do also for them. It is my goal to make your pet feel the non-intrusive love/care they deserve while you're unavailable. Me and my partner work from home in corporate jobs, and we are home every day. We make sure your pet baby has our full attention. We take one pet baby at a time, we make sure they get all they need, while their favourite human is temporarily away. Me and my partner live in a 600sq foot condo in lakeshore downtown. We have a balcony with full access to the lakeshore. Our condo amenities include a large playground dog-friendly. If the weather is great, we will bring your baby out for long/short walks along the lakeshore, depending on their stamina and habit.

We can't express enough for Anthony took care of Rockie when we were on vacation. It was the first time Rockie was away from us. He is 8 yrs old St Bernard. We were really worried at the beginning. Anthony dropped in on time every day. He fed and walked Rockie and sent us pictures and videos every day. Rockie likes him and we feel he did not miss us at all LOL. We had a great vacation all because of Anthony's help. Really appreciated! If anyone needs drop in visit or even just walking for their pets, we do strongly recommend Anthony.

There are 6,177 sitters on Rover for Dog Sitting in Newmarket. About 86% of Newmarket sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Rover makes it easy to find sitters who are available during your working hours. To find sitters who fit your schedule, select which days of the week and the time slots you'd like a sitter to visit. The search results will populate sitters whose calendars match your needs. You can also search for sitters by location, whether that’s a sitter near your office for day care drop-off or a sitter close to your home. Once you've found a sitter who you like, message them directly to schedule a Meet & Greet.

Tip: Doggy day care is another option for pet supervision while you're at work. Visit our doggy day care page for more information.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Newmarket stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Newmarket choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
