About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and had a family dog growing up, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or just keeping them company. I currently work from home, which allows me to keep your pup company throughout the day while providing flexible potty breaks, walks, and plenty of attention. I care for pets by keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible, including regular walks, potty breaks, feeding schedules, and plenty of attention and playtime. I always prioritize safety by ensuring doors, leashes, and harnesses are secure during walks and outings, and I closely supervise pets at all times.
About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. As an healthcare professional and mom of two, I’m dependable, attentive, and comfortable caring for pets of all ages. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to a familiar routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I work a flexible schedule from home and can provide reliable pet care throughout the week, including evenings and weekends. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to follow their normal routines, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and bedtime habits. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs before their stay. I maintain a calm, pet-friendly environment and closely supervise walks, outdoor time, and interactions. I’m comfortable administering medications when needed and will always communicate promptly with owners. My goal is to provide a safe, loving experience where your pet feels relaxed and cared for.
“Krishnaa and her husband are great! They offered to dog sit our pet right at the last moment when we had to run for a medical emergency. They are kind, experienced and our pet really enjoyed her stay at their place. We are very grateful to both of them. Highly recommend!”

“Luna had such a wonderful time today! Ziqi was caring, reliable, and clearly loves dogs — Luna came home happy, relaxed, and a little tired from all the fun. Communication was smooth, updates were thoughtful, and I felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a loving and trustworthy sitter!”

About: At this time, I will only be accepting one dog at a time. I do have a resident dog in my home, but she is very low maintenance. That means your dog will get my (almost!) undivided attention. I have lots of experience with taking care of dogs of all backgrounds from fostering and dogsitting, including puppies. I'm very in tune with the needs of dogs. I have taken care of dogs of all sizes, from 10 pounds to 50 pounds. I love sending lots of pictures and videos throughout the day (although I am not a professional photographer!) to give the owners updates. I work from home so I'm able to keep my eye on your dog all day. Note that for doggie day care, it will be during the hours of 7am to 7pm. Any hours beyond this range can still be accommodated for but extra rates may apply. Feel free to discuss with me! I am currently working from home, so I will have lots of time for your furry children. I have a fenced backyard and would be able to take the dogs out for potty breaks during the day. I have a fenced yard and my own dog of 5 years. I have doggie gates in my house to separate if needed, and can put my dog in another part of the household or crate her, if needed.
“My dog is very clingy and cries when we leave him alone. I used Rae’s daycare service and left my dog with her today. She kept me updated throughout the day and sent me pictures. My dog got to play with another dog at her care and he had a good day. I will use Rae’s daycare services again and will highly recommend her. Thank you Rae.”

About: I truly love dogs and treat every pup as my own. I adopted my dog when she was a puppy, so I understand how to care for dogs with patience and warmth. I’ve also helped friends look after their dogs many times, giving them plenty of love, playtime, and comfort. I host up to 2 dogs at a time, so I can give full attention and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved during their stay. 🐾💛 I work from home most of the time, so I’m always around to keep your pup company. We usually start the day with a little walk, some playtime in the backyard, and lots of cuddles throughout the day. It’s a calm, happy routine that dogs really enjoy. Dogs stay in a safe, clean, and calm home with a fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play. I always keep a close eye on them to make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and secure. I also communicate regularly with dog owners to provide updates and peace of mind while their pets are in my care.
About: I grew up surrounded by dogs of all sizes and personalities, influenced by my father, a lifelong dog lover who owned everything from Chihuahuas to a Tibetan Mastiff. I’ve had two Poodles of my own and, as a trained groomer, I’m especially attentive to coat care, comfort, and handling. Every dog gets patient, loving care tailored to them I'm a stay-at-home parent, and my husband works from home, so there's almost always someone around to keep your pup company. We only accept one dog at a time (or dogs from the same family), which means a calm, relaxed environment and lots of individual attention. Your dog will be treated like part of the family while they're here-hanging out with us throughout the day, joining in on family activities, and, with your permission, coming along on family outings and adventures. We love making our guest pups feel right at home and giving them the same care, attention, and affection we'd want for our own dog. Your dog's comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. At my home, pups enjoy a fully fenced backyard with lots of space to move around and play, plus access to nearby ravine trails for walks and sniff-filled adventures. I follow each dog's routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise needs. For stays longer than one week, I'm also happy to provide a bath (with your permission) so your pup comes home clean and fresh. In a client’s home, I follow their routine closely to keep pets happy, comfortable, and secure.
About: I am a huge animal lover who doesn't have the space to have my own pet at the moment. I have taken care of friends and families dogs 🐕 and cats 🐈 since I was a child. I currently work different hours each week which makes me available at times that those who work regular working hours may not be. I usually work until 3 o'clock. I have a fence with lots of park's near by to go to for a walk. I love to play with dogs 🐕 off all sizes.

Vivian and Kyu took exceptional care of my high energy pup. Building her confidence with them through constant play, walks and showering her with love. As a anxious dog mom, I am 100% confident in the level of care they give and can't wait to take my pup back to them.

Our dog Lenny loves staying with Shirin! She has a lot of puppy energy, and Shirin is patient with her and brings her to the park with the other dogs to let her run and play. We appreciate Shirin’s flexible schedule, and she’s a very good communicator sending photos and updates throughout the day.

This was the first time using Rover. I was a little nervous at first leaving my fur baby with someone I didn't know. Despina and her family are very welcoming and friendly. Meya had so much fun that when we got home she was happy and exhausted with all the love she received from Despina and her family.

Carole and Kevin were absolutely amazing. This was our first time leaving our fur baby with anyone other than my mother, and they were super understanding and took extra care of our girl. The pictures and videos of her during the whole day were a huge comfort and relief to us and helped with the transition of our first doggy daycare experience. Would definitely recommend Carole & Kevin, and will be back.

Krishnaa and her husband are great! They offered to dog sit our pet right at the last moment when we had to run for a medical emergency. They are kind, experienced and our pet really enjoyed her stay at their place. We are very grateful to both of them. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of having Farnoosh K care for my dog Lassei .while I was away, she had a genuine love and passion for dogs. Genuine Connection What really sets Farnoosh K apart is her genuine connection with animals. She treated my dog like his own, showering her with love, affection, and plenty of playtime. It was clear that Farnoosh K genuinely cares about the animals she works with, and that made all the difference in my dog's experience. Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Newmarket commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 81% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
