“Laura and her wonderful family are truly one of a kind! From the moment Cooper stayed with them, I knew he was in the best hands. Laura, her husband, and their two sweet toddlers welcomed him like part of the family and treated him with so much love and care. Cooper came home happy, relaxed, and clearly adored. It’s obvious how much attention and affection they give, and it meant the world to know he was safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved while we were away. I can’t recommend Laura highly enough; she and her family are the absolute sweetest, and we feel so lucky to have found them! 🐾💛”

About: I got my first dog at 14 and have had many since then, I don’t currently have one but have lots of extra loving to share I just retired and have lots of extra time to share with your special pets. I love being around dogs and have lots of love to give I have a large fenced yard with lots of room for your pets to run around and enjoy the outdoors. “Hanna took very good care of my puppy! She followed instructions carefully, sent me photographs of my puppy during the day, as well as communicated frequently with updates of how my puppy was doing. I’m definitely going to book with her again!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 12 years old and grew up surrounded by dogs my entire life. Over the years, I’ve also cared for a chameleon, hamster, and ferret, which gave me experience with a wide range of pet needs and personalities. I adopted my dog Maia 3 years ago, and she’s full of energy with a big personality, which has taught me a lot about active dogs, structure, and keeping playtime both fun and safe. I also adopted my cat when I was 20. She was very feisty, and no one else wanted to handle her, but I built a strong bond with her over time. We also went through a lot together, including managing her diabetes, so I’m very comfortable and experienced with giving medication and administering insulin injections when needed. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I always aim to provide calm, attentive, and loving care so every animal feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away❤️ Pet care is already a natural part of my daily life. I'm currently working remote so my schedule is fairly flexible. I’m also experienced with more specific care, including administering medication and injections when needed, so I’m comfortable adjusting routines based on each pet’s requirements. Overall, I’m very organized and flexible, and I genuinely enjoy having animals as part of my everyday routine rather than it feeling like an extra task. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family and kept in a calm, safe, and structured environment. I have a fenced-in backyard where dogs can run, play, and get energy out safely, along with regular walks and supervised outdoor time. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special care instructions. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment.
“Goose had a great time hanging out with Kiernan for the day! We were able to do a meet and greet before Goose spent the day with him and we enjoyed getting photos and updates on his day away.”

We have a fully fenced in yard where we can play fetch with the ball and frisbee and live close to the Ardagh bluff trails where we can enjoy long walks together exploring nature.
“Caroline took such great care of my dog, Mocha, for a few hours. She kept me updated throughout the stay and sent plenty of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Mocha was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated Caroline's communication and kindness, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: Olivia and Philip are a married couple with a big dog that offer to board your dog and provide in home doggy day care to your fur babies! Olivia was individually a dog walker for many years and now offers services paired with her husband in home. Philip works from home everyday and has availability to let out your dogs for pee breaks and take them for walks on nearby trails. Olivia works from home part of the week and goes in person the other half of the week so those certain days the dog will solely be watched by Philip. Olivia loves to play and walk with dogs and the days she’s home will also let them out for pee and poo breaks. We are so excited to meet your dogs and give them love and attention while you’re away! We both have experience with small dogs up to very large dogs so we accept all breeds and sizes. Our dog, Dexter, is neutered and therefore he’s fine with female and male dogs. ———————————————————— Previous dog walker profile description: ———————————————————— I absolutely love dogs and especially have a heart for big dogs. I have many years of experience walking and caring for dogs of all sizes. The breeds I have the most experience with are Beagles, German Rottweilers, Labradoodles, Presa Canario (puppy), American Bulldogs, Vizsla mix, Shihtzus, Cockapoo, Labradors, St. Bernard mix, Doberman Pinscher, Husky, Husky-Belgian Malinois mix, Golden Retrievers, and Portugese water dogs. I am petite and have walked dogs that are much heavier than me (a 160-180lbs Rottweiler, a 150lbs German Shepherd, a 115lbs Doberman, and a 115lbs Husky-Malinois mix). It can be a little uncomfortable if and when they pull but if they are well trained, I am able to control them and have a pleasant walk still. If you are adamant that your dog is great off-leash, I'd like to know how they react to other dogs and squirrels running by before taking that risk. There are only 6 dogs I have off-leash experience with (Husky-Belgian Malinois mix, American Bulldog, German Shepherd, St. Bernard mix, Portugese Waterdog, and Shitzhu) and they were fine, though there are some dogs I'd never imagine being able to be off-leash so please be honest with your dog's discipline level. I have taken care of, fed, and dog-sat a number of dogs too. If you want them to do commands or tricks before eating, I have experience doing that as well. I will give them lots of attention during their visits. I love to play with dogs, give them belly rubs, and brush them if they enjoy that. I have cat sit for 8 cats before, and even though I am a dog person, I love all animals. If you have a cat that needs to be fed, given attention, and playtime, I'm happy to be of service. I am currently working online part-time and so I have availability to dog sit and dog walk your pets during my off hours. I mostly have availability during mornings up until afternoons around 3pm. We have a big friendly dog here at home and a large fenced off backyard where your dogs can roam around and play. We will give them lots of love and attention during their stays with us.

Krystina was amazing with my puppy Maggie! From the moment I left, I felt totally at ease knowing Maggie was in such good hands. Krystina was patient, attentive, and clearly comfortable caring for a young, energetic puppy. Maggie was happy, well cared for, and calm when I got back, which says a lot. I really appreciated the updates and the genuine care she showed. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Krystina watch Maggie again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind pet sitter 🐶💛

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Innisfil commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 83% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
