“Aditya and Ipshita were great with my dog. They were very professional and kept be updated on his day of fun with them. They truly do love dogs and that is shown in the care they take to make sure they are well taken cared of.”

“Amanda cared for my mom’s dog, Danny, for five weeks, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without her. She was an absolute lifesaver. From the moment she took him in, she kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She handled everything from pick‑ups, drop‑offs, and daily care with kindness, reliability, and genuine affection for Danny. It’s rare to find someone who treats your pet like their own, but Amanda did exactly that. She went above and beyond in every way, and I am so grateful for the care, attention, and love she gave him. I would recommend her without hesitation.”

“Dale is an amazing, responsible, heartfelt “animal lover”. I am so thankful that I found her because I will certainly use her again in the future. She looked after two of my dogs, a large “mastiff x american bulldog” and her tiny companion “chihuahua x min. pinscher” with no issues at all. Dale has a calm, easy going disposition that any animal would feel completely comfortable around. For first timers, she likes to meet the pets in advance, which is fantastic (especially for dogs) and you’ll know from that first meeting you’ll be in good hands with no worry at all. I received daily texts, photos and updates on the dogs, how they were adjusting, eating and sleeping. Her and her husband were very flexible with the dogs routines, ensuring that their overall needs for comfort and mental health were met - because all dogs become a little stressed when they’re left by their owners for a week or two. After the first two days, both dogs were like putty in her hands. Dale has a great connection with animals and has the foresight to read between the lines on meeting their personal needs. She is a keeper in my books, and anyone who is able to book her, you are in VERY good hands!”

“Geo and Amanda were great! Lots of pictures sent for updates the dogs were extremely comfortable and happy to be with them. We’ve already rebooked for the next time! Thanks so much”

“Kim cared for my Gemma for two nights during Thanksgiving weekend. I could not have been happier with the love and care she provided. She forwarded many pictures which helped so much to ease my mind and to put a smile on my face. Thanks so very much Kim! I will not hesitate to reach out to you again in the future.”

“Natalia was extra accommodating when we we're in a pinch. She went above and beyond to help out when we needed her. I definitely recommend her to anyone who needs their puppy to be taken care of by extra special person.”

“Anne and Andrew are always so great with Luna. She loves them and is so comfortable in their care. We were away for a good amount of time and Luna was welcomed into their home like family, as she always is. She's always a little sad when it's time to come home. 😅”

“Sheila took wonderful care of our dog, Red, while we were away on a road trip. From the beginning, her communication was excellent, and she sent us the occasional photo and video, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Red was in such good hands, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy our trip. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and wouldn’t hesitate to have Sheila watch Red again. Highly recommend!”

“Donna was an exceptional dog sitter. Our Tia is an anxious and a huge mommas girl and she made her feel very comfortable and loved! She sent me photo's during our vacation which made me at ease and I could clearly tell she was feeling at home! Not only was she a great dog sitter who took very good care of Tia, our plane was delayed and showed up 2 hrs later then expected and without hesitation she was very accommodating!!! Thanks again Donna 🙏💖”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
