“Our dog Java had the best vacation with Anne while we were on vacation! Every day Anne sent us pictures and videos of Java happily playing on her beautiful property or snuggling with the family. We were so relieved to know that Java was happy and loved. 🤎”

“Adi and Ips took such great care of my 5 year old dog and really went above and beyond. I have a Corgi, and they handled her energy so well. They usually have 2 to 3 other dogs around, both big and small, and even safely exposed her to a cat, which was a great experience. They kept her busy with long walks full of sniffing, worked on her leash skills, and even took her on a car ride. They also offered to help reinforce a few commands, which I really appreciated. At the same time, they made sure she got plenty of rest. She was totally comfortable sleeping wherever she wanted, whether that was with the other dogs or on the bed. They stayed in touch every day and let me know right away when she had a health related episode. It was clear they were paying close attention and genuinely cared about her. I can’t thank them enough and will definitely be booking with them again when needed.”

“We left our 2 dogs with Sheila for one night as a trial before we leave them for a week in September. We could not be happier! She took care of them like her own, which is all we wanted when searching for someone to watch our babies. They were walked, fed (even though our younger dog does not eat when anxious/scared, Sheila tried her best and even made her boiled eggs to try to get her to eat!), and well rested. We are looking forward to their stay in September and are very confident they will enjoy their time with her. Thank you Sheila!”

“We had such a great experience with Katherine. The daily updates were thoughtful and reassuring, and it was clear Quinn was happy, comfortable, and very well looked after. It made being away so much easier. I truly can’t recommend Katherine enough!”

“Viktoriia was amazing! She took care of our pet as if he was her own. She gave us constant updates of him, communicating everything in a timely manner. We definitely will select her in future trips, we loved her kindness so much!”

“This was the first time our dogs stayed anywhere but our home so I was nervous. Amanda was amazing by providing me regular updates and pictures of my dogs. Forever grateful to be able to enjoy our mini family vacation without constantly worrying about the dogs. I definitely would recommend Amanda and will use her again the future!!”

“Laura was professional, warm and a great communicator. Lots of great photos of our happy pup and even a video. She is a short drive from Toronto and Lupe loved the large comfortable space. We will definitely come back again. Thank you, Laura and Family!”

“Heather was great with our dog who is very anxious and doesn’t like being away from me. She kept in touch throughout the night and let us know how he was doing, and he made it through the night just fine. She made us feel very confident, leaving Lou with her.”

“Tyson loved his stay! We appreciated being able to leave him with Susan and Brian in their home and their wonderful care while away. Great communication/pics sent. Will definitely use again. Thank you!”

“Sara took excellent care of our energetic Airedale terrier. He had multiple walks, a clean and spacious house, and large fenced backyard. She sent us plenty of photos and updates, and we knew that our dog was very well cared for. They have 2 friendly, non-aggressive dogs that played well with our dog. I highly recommend Sara and Cody for anyone who wants exceptional care for their dog.”

“First time leaving Dexter overnight, let alone for a week. He could not have been better cared for, I am so appreciative. Jillian treated him like her own, I was a little worried he might not want to come home :). Will definitely use Jillian again if the need arises.”

“Thank you Cindy for taking care of Zoe from 27Mar- 02 Apr,Zoe received the same love, care, walks & cuddles like home from Cindy,I deeply appreciate your efforts and support with regular photos and updates. Zoe returned home way more calmer and quieter pup and she got to play and spent time with other 3 guest small dogs and 2 inhouse furry friends.Cindy is so clear, transparent in her communication, made our travel easy and stress-free. Zoe is an anxious kid anyways, so she was missing us and her home in that way she lost quiet a weight in her worry. Thank you Cindy, this experiment was indeed successful, loved Josie and Jack too, true friends of Zoe in making her a better version of herself. See you soon. ❤️🙏”

“Michelle was amazing! She was great at giving updates of our dog, and made it seem like he was part of the family. Will definitely contact Michelle again for our next boarding needs.”

“Hanna was so welcoming and accommodating with Theo and myself and I highly recommend her to watch anyone that needs a pet sitter within the Barrie and surrounding area ! She has a fenced in yard and send a lots of updates throughout the day and evening to put your mind at ease that your pet is well taken care of at all time , 10/10 would recommend and book again :)”

“I loved Natalia, she is very sweet with her family. I take very good care of my dog. He sends you photos and videos to make your heart happy. My dog felt very calm and very comfortable with her. He communicates with you easily.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
