“Danielle is an incredibly caring and attentive care provider. We’ve enjoyed having her stop in daily for walks. We lost our wee Rocky very suddenly and it was poor Danielle who discovered he had passed. Her compassion and kindness is unsurpassed. I hope she will be available for our next pup… whenever we’re ready to make that step again.”

About: An enthusiastic dog lover and cat owner for all my life! I currently own one kitty, and am a dedicated foster home for our local cat shelter since 2016, where I have helped raise kittens from birth on multiple occasions. I am also responsible for the care and safety of a variety of animals such as hamsters, guinea pigs, reptiles, birds and fish at my current workplace of 3 years — not to mention all of the pet parents who come into the store with their dogs to visit with! I have so much love and expertise to go around for all felines, canines, and specialty pets! My work schedule is currently very unpredictable, so I'd encourage any interested customers to please contact me directly for availability! My Rover schedule may not always be the most accurate, but I do my best to be very timely in responding to messages. I am very committed to the work and care required to keep pets safe and happy! I value integrity and commitment, and I strive to be a sitter you can always rely on. Though I don't currently board pets to my own home, I always like to ensure I know of every pet's needs in their own home, where their favourite treat is located or keeping their favourite napping spot nice and clean. I can adapt to almost any environment, and once you return it will be such a clean and happy space you might believe I was never there!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was very young, grew up with all sorts of animals. My whole family is animal lovers, so you know your pet will always have the best care from me. I am new to the area and want to grow my dog walking experience 🫶 At the moment I am available in the days to walk dogs and house sit or drop in. Boarding will be available soon. Thanks in advance! I have a large fenced in backyard. No escaping as well I would always be outside with them when in the backyard. I can also put your dog on a leash if that makes it more comfortable knowing your loved one isn’t going anywhere.
“Guy is great with my dog! Always makes sure he is well walked, and even puts in a little extra time :) Guys availability is super flexible which works well for anyone with variable schedules.”

“Ashley has found her calling in pet care. She left descriptive updates of each dog walk, gave treats and even tossed a ball to my senior dog. She spent extra time on visits so they could walk in the park and take breaks in the shade on hot days. A wonderful first-time experience with Ashley and Rover.com.”

About: I have had dogs all my life since I was a young Child. They make great companions. I currently have two medium sized mixed bread dogs. I have a few flexible schedule so I have lots of time available to help anyone local with pet care when they need the help. I have one medium size very friendly dog. I have a fenced in backyard so there can be lots of outside playtime with or without my dog. They can play or I have the ability to keep the animals separate if necessary. About: I grew up raising dogs from puppies to senior dogs, volunteering in shelters and have spent my life reading their body language, energy and needs. I specialize in calm, structured walks that help dogs feel safe, confident and balanced-especially those who struggle with anxiety or over stimulation. I don't rush, overwhelm, or force; I lead with patience, consistency, and quiet confidence so a dog can relax and trust the walk. I also have deep experience caring for senior dogs. I recently said good bye to our family Weimaraner Lexi, who taught me the importance of gentleness, awareness and dignity in every stage of a dog's life. Whether your dog needs confidence building, a steady routine, or thoughtful care tailored to their age and temperament, I treat every dog as an individual-never just another booking. Right now, I'm primarily available on weekends, with some flexibility for weekday evening walks or drop-ins. I'm intentional about my schedule so every visit stays calm, unrushed, and consistent-especially important for anxious dog who rely on routine. My availability will be expanding in the near future as I transition towards pet care as a primary focus. This means increased weekday flexibility and priority scheduling for repeat clients who value long-term consistency. I'll always be clear and upfront about availability before confirming a booking, so there are no surprises-for you or your dog. My home is calm, structured, and safety-focused. Dogs are cared for with clear routines, close supervision, and attention to body language and stress levels. I prioritize consistency so dogs feel secure and know what to expect. This is the same standard I follow with my own Doberman, who receives structured daily walks, routine feedings, constant access to fresh water, and regular training, trust-building exercises, and enrichment puzzles. I keep the environment clean, low-stress, and intentional, so dogs can relax and feel confident while in my care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Angus choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
