About: Dogs - I have owned a dog since I was little and there has rarely ever not been one in the house. Cats- I have owned cats before and also kittens as well. I have completed a full 2 credit Co op at the OSPCA when in high school. I have lots of personal experience and knowledge with dogs and cats, either owning or taking care of them. I do have a full time job but I love to spend my time off caring for animals and getting to know new people and their pets :) I am respectful, easy going, polite, and punctual. I look forward to getting to know you and your animal(s). I currently work full time at Costco but I make time out of my schedule for taking care of animals because I love to do it I own a dog and he is very friendly. I’ve had him since he was a pup and he’s high energy so we spend time on a lot of walks, and we do a lot of enrichment time whether it’s just playing or doing tasks for treats. If I were to come to a clients home I am very respectful and will focus on your pet and make sure all their needs are met and are well looked after. Let me know of any routines to follow or just basic care and daily feeding schedules.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and honestly can’t imagine it any other way. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family since high school, and I love getting to know each dog’s personality. I also worked on a dairy farm for 10 years, where we always had dogs around (including five that hung out with us in the parlour!), so I’m super comfortable with animals. Taking care of pets doesn’t feel like work to me, it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I’m currently a student at Georgian College and have a very flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate pet care throughout the week. Tuesdays are my only fully busy day, but I have availability at various times on all other days. I’m especially available during evenings and weekends, making it easy to fit walks, drop-ins, or pet sitting into my routine. I provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. At my home, I have a fully fenced-in backyard for secure outdoor time, as well as plenty of indoor space for dogs to relax. I also have a friendly Labrador who enjoys the company of other dogs, but I always make sure introductions are done slowly and safely. If a dog prefers their own space, I have a spare room where they can relax privately. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow their routine closely to keep things consistent and stress-free. I prioritize safety, supervision, and lots of attention to make sure each pet feels comfortable and well cared for.
“Jersy is very sweet. Super gentle with dogs. My dog took a quick liking to her which was really good! She is great at communicating and working with my schedule whenever I need to change things around. Always updating you on walks and other things. Very trustworthy as well. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat if they need a walker for their dog.”

About: Hello there! I’m a fun, easygoing, and friendly animal lover who can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! Providing pet care has become one of my greatest joys. Since I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’m able to devote my time, love, and attention to caring for yours as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight companionship, my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you complete peace of mind. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs, but I truly enjoy caring for pets of all ages, breeds, and personalities. Every pet receives patient, attentive care tailored to their individual needs. I also believe it’s the little things that make a difference. I’ll happily keep up with brushing, wipe muddy paws after walks, and help with basic home care while you’re away—including watering your plant babies, so don’t forget to introduce me during our meet-and-greet! My approach to dogs is inspired by Cesar Millan’s philosophy of calm, confident leadership, while always respecting each dog’s unique personality and routine. My calendar is kept up to date, so if you see availability, I’d love to hear from you! If you have any questions or would like to arrange a meet-and-greet, feel free to send me a message. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I make my clients a priority. When you've booked with me, you can be sure that nothing else is planned for my day other than taking care your pets. I absolutely love caring for pets in the comfort of their own homes! It really helps them feel relaxed, safe and happy in their own space. You can trust that I will treat your home with the utmost respect and care. Many clients have welcomed me into their homes while they were away, and I ensure you’ll feel safe and comfortable with me too. I always take my time to get to know new spaces, during meet and greets, and I go over a mental checklist of questions to make sure I have everything covered. If anything comes up, I won’t hesitate to bring it up or send you a message. I will need to get a detailed picture of a “day in the life” of your pets so I can stick closely to their routine. So a write up of your pet’s routine and needs would be very handy. Your security is super important to me, so I’ll keep all your details private and ensure no one comes to your home without prior discussion—except, of course, for the occasional food delivery! 😄
“Michelle has walked my dog Marley a few times and I will definitely be using her again in the near future! She was great with Marley, very pleasant to deal with, reliable and responds to messages very quickly. Thanks Michelle!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Barrie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
