Sarah was great and on short notice as well. My dog Petra seemed to really enjoy her company, they played and went for a walk. Sarah was a lifeline for me at the very last minute and I will definitely reach out to her again thank you, Sarah.

Deanna was great at communicating, sent me photos of both of my cats as requested as well as a video after each visit showing she had locked my home after leaving. My babies were left in good hands while we were away! Thank you again, Deanna!

About: Hi, I'm 36 and I have experience taking care of dogs, cats and wild animals. I am not adverse to taking care of sick pets either. Services I can provide include feeding, playing, walking, belly rubbing and cuddling. I grew up with dogs and have lived with cats in recent years. Currently I am slightly disabled so, am sticking to cats and dogs that do not pull. I can take dogs or cats around the block, stay at your home or walk them when you're at work. I have been wanting to do this for a while because I have unconditional love for all animals. I look forward to meeting you and your companion. I’m not working anywhere else at the moment. So, I’m free to care for your pets anytime during the week, on the weekends and holidays. I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly dogs. A small dog would be comfortable here. Alternatively I can come to your house, walk your dog or feed and play with your cat.

About: Hi! I’m a compassionate and reliable pet caregiver with hands-on experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and needs. My background includes looking after a young small dog while providing care for a senior citizen, which involved daily walks, feeding, bathing, and keeping the space clean by managing pee pads. Most recently, I worked as an in-home dog caregiver for two medium-sized dogs ages 1 and 3 . I was responsible for walking them multiple times a day, maintaining their feeding schedule, giving them plenty of attention and playtime, and ensuring the home stayed safe and secure while the owners were on vacation. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and take pride in providing safe, attentive, and loving care—whether that means going on long walks, sticking to a feeding routine, or simply keeping pets company while their humans are away. Your pets will be treated like family with me! I’m available for dog walks 4–7 PM on weekdays and have open availability on weekends. I’m also able to provide extended in-home care when needed. I offer a safe, comfortable home for small to medium dogs, with parks nearby for walks. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your routines and can walk your dog in your neighborhood to keep things familiar.

Katie is great! I've had her drop in multiple times and have never had a single issue. She always send lots of picture and updates when she visits. She ensures our dog ate and went to the washroom. She's very considerate and makes sure our door is locked when she leaves. Definitely recommend her and will continue to use her for drop in visits.

About: I have been an animal lover, my entire life, having pets for every single year that I’ve been around, and do not think I will ever not have a pet within my life lifetime. While I have pets of my own, I have had many of my friends and family asked me to watch over their pets while they need help, I have fostered my friends pets and help them find the forever home and do not mind being a cuddle puddle of fur I’m currently in school full-time but available early mornings afternoons evenings, and overnight. Typically, I only have one class per day and I’m pretty flexible with what I can do to help other people and their pets I live in an apartment building and take my pets for walks multiple times a day on a leash. We will adventure to some local hiking trails while on leash, and dog parks as well to let that extra steam off

About: I've lived my whole life with pets, and am a very responsible pet owner. Currently do not have any dogs of my own, just one Siamese cat who also loves dogs and will want to play with yours(can handle any size of dog). I use a lot of affection, play time/exercise and positive reinforcement training to help your dog feel comfortable while away from their family. I've even trained my own dogs to bow, roll over, and play dead (as well as the usual commands)! My current availability is very flexible, over weekends and the holidays as well and I am happy to make accommodations for you and your dog if the fit is right. I take every precaution when it comes to pet care, so you can feel comfortable and trust that your dog is in good hands!

About: I have always had a love for dogs and that followed me into adulthood where I've spent the last five years working in rescue. Within the last few years, I've pursued my passion of co-founding and becoming the director of a local dog rescue in the GTA (MUTTS Dog Rescue) and embarked on various trips to the US and across Canada to help save and rehome dogs in need. I've fostered 10 dogs (and counting) from 5 weeks old and up, fostered four baby kittens, helped care for three family dogs ranging from puppies to seniors, dog sat a number of times, and currently have two rescue dogs (a husky/lab/shep x and a meximutt) and three cats. Working in rescue has helped me gain a deeper understanding of a dog's mannerisms and behaviours which allows me to advocate for them in the way they deserve. I work from home full-time which allows me more than enough time and flexibility to provide all the things needed to help you and your pets out! With over 25 years of experience under my belt, I have the confidence and knowledge to properly care for your pet whether that be through crating, feeding, walking and/or providing medication. A double leash will be beneficial should the dog be a flight risk and a loose lead walk will be given with proper corrections if needed. My main priority is the safety of your dog. Pet care is a part of my every day life with 2 dogs and 3 cats. I will always make time for my pets and in turn make time for yours! Our pets receive the utmost of care. We have a large fenced yard, multiple crates in the home to provide safety and security, gates in the home to ensure dogs don’t get into anything they shouldn’t, toys are away to manage proper play.

About: I've taken care of my family's and my own dogs for more than a decade now, currently looking after two senior terriers of my own. I'm very patient and careful. I'm comfortable with senior dogs too, whether that means taking it easy on slow walks or administering medications. I am currently quite flexible day to day, which makes me well suited to visit with dogs whose owners are commuters for work, for example. At your home, I'll respect any boundaries or rules you have in place for safety and privacy. I'm quite cautious on walks (e.g., keeping your dog away from other dogs, if you instruct me to).

Erin did a perfect job taking care of our French Bulldog, Rok. We were away for the day, and we didn’t want Rok indoors and alone all day. Erin arrived at the prearranged time, and she took him for a walk. She made sure that he had enough time outside, and that his activity level was not too strenuous (he is experiencing a health issue). She also checked that he had water in his dish before she left. We will definitely be asking Erin to help us again! She is responsible and reliable.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
