About: Grew up around dogs since birth. Good with big and small dogs as I grew up around both. Very loving person who loves to make dogs happy! I am a stay at home, love taking my dog on long walks, playing and spending quality time together as he is my best friend. I have a two year old cockapoo that can keep your I dog company and have a crate at my place if needed. My dog is very friendly!
“Rebekah took care of our dog Casper for a week while we were away on vacation, and he had the best time! She sent us photos every day. We loved seeing how he had fun playing with the other dogs under her care. Casper is always so excited to go to Rebekah's house because he knows that every visit is such a fun time. It is so much easier to go away when we know that Casper is in good care! :)”

“Zoe was made to feel at home by Eduarda from the time she enters her place. Eduarda just lived Zoe, our sassy & funky maltese. definitely recommend Eduarda for your fur babies. Zoe will definitely get to stay with her more. Thank you for looking after Zoe, very grateful and appreciated!”

“Our dogs had a wonderful stay with Donna and her family! Both Gus and Winnie are senior dogs (14 and 13) who have been going to the same kennel for 10 years. When our kennel had to cancel last minute we were at a loss as we had a 3 week trip coming up -over the Easter holiday - and no one to watch the dogs. This was our first Rover experience and I’m so glad it worked out! Gus and Winnie have never stayed with anyone else so we were really nervous. Donna was so great at making both dogs comfortable and communicating with us while we were away. Gus had some issues early on (we think due to stress) and Donna went out of her way to adjust her schedule and his surroundings so that he was comfortable. Winnie is your typical snuggly Pug and I could tell she was right at home by the photos sent of her snuggling on the couch and hanging out with Donna’s children. Would definitely recommend Donna - thank you!”

“Mike was wonderful with our dog Harbour. He provided a warm and welcoming environment, communicated with us with pictures throughout the stay and Harbour came home happy and tired. We will definitely book with Mike again.”

“Liz is excellent service provider. We used her service first time, no complaints at all. She fed our dog on time shared tons of photos with us of him playing eating and sleeping every day. I highly recommend her.”

“Dianne was very good with my bernedoodle! She gave her lots of attention, took her on walks, fed her, let her outside frequently, and we really appreciated the photos and updates that she gave us. Don’t hesitate to leave your dog with her!”

“Yulia was great with my anxious dog. She has a really good instinct for how to handle dogs and was perfect for him. They were also flexible and accommodating to my shifting schedule. I highly recommend them!”

“Rhinestone was in great spirits when I picked him up. Jess was friendly and smiled and got to meet her daughter which helped keep Rhinestone busy. I got lots of photos. As this was his first stay with Jess, she did right in reducing some anxiety to leave your pet with a stranger. I like that Jess is adaptable and her daughter giving all this extra TLC to Rginestone is golden. Can't wait to bring him back.”

“Theresa is our go-to when we need someone to care for our dog Paprika while we're away, and has been for several years now. She treats Paprika like a member of the family. We couldn't be happier with our experience.”

“Maisy, the 3-year-old Australian Shepherd and Dexter the 13-year-old Corgi mix looked like they slept pretty good and we're definitely well cared for. Four nights! It looks like they had a great time on their walks and the experience with Charlene was wonderful. She has a wonderful family welcoming young and old doggies. Highly recommend! Thank you so much”

“Kimberly was absolutely amazing with my pup! From the moment we met, I could tell she truly loves animals. She treated my dog like part of her own family — he got so much love, attention, and playtime from everyone in her home. I received updates and pictures throughout the stay, and my pup looked so happy and comfortable the whole time. It’s such a relief knowing he was in such caring hands. I can’t recommend Kimberly enough — we’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾❤️”

“First time using Ashely and was blown away !! Very attentive to my Henry ... updating my husband and I to calm our nervousness! Made us feel very comfortable and was amazing with Henry . Best part their golden retriever Odin and Henry became good buds ! He’s been so pooped today from all the activity this weekend...was hard to get him up for a pee haha :) THANK YOU Ashely , her fiancé and Odin!! Would highly recommend and definitely be using her again :)”

“Laura was professional, warm and a great communicator. Lots of great photos of our happy pup and even a video. She is a short drive from Toronto and Lupe loved the large comfortable space. We will definitely come back again. Thank you, Laura and Family!”

About: I always had a dog in my life with dogs since I was 2 years old. Always treated my dogs as there were family. I assure you that I would care for your dog as it was mine. I am currently a stay at home dad. I’m always here to take care of your dog. I really enjoy the company that a dog can provide. I live in a house with large yard. There is room for the dog to run. Also have a very large park beside me and a leash free park near by.
About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I have had dogs large (German Shepherd), Medium (Cocker Spaniel) and small (Shih Tzu). I just lost my 17 year old Shih Tzu and now have an elderly Shepherd who is my gentle sweet companion. I have a passion for small and medium sized snuggly dogs. And they can be welcomed on my couch with me! They will get loving attention in my home and in my beautiful spacious fenced back yard. I am close to walking trails and the lake. * LOKI PASSED AWAY JUNE 18,2026 PEACEFULLY AT HOME SO NOW WE ARE AN EMPTY HOUSE. LOOKING FORWARD TO SHARING OUR HOME WITH A FURRY FRIEND IN NEED OF TEMPORARY BOARDING. I am retired and have lots of time to give love and care to furry companions. I have a large fenced property and would give love and attention to any dog in my care. Our backyard and house are 100% dog friendly and we are close to walking trails and the lake. Our large property is fenced however I would always attend outside with the dog(s) in my care. We presently have one elderly german shepherd who has until recently enjoyed life with our adorable shih tzu who passed away at the age of 17. Loki is very friendly and is pretty lazy at his age of 12. He has always been around other dogs. (LOKI PASSED AWAY AT HOME ON JUNE 18,2026)
“I couldn’t have asked for a better family to take care of my 10 year old Goldendoodle, Ginger! Anne and Andrew were amazing with caring for her while I was overseas for two months! Anne kept me in the loop with tons of updates and pictures. You could tell Ginger really grew attached to them, and she seemed so comfortable and happy there. She was spoiled and allowed up on the couch and even cuddled up in their bed! They also have an older Goldendoodle who’s the sweetest, and they got along so well. Their place is beautiful, safe, and perfect for dogs. I’d absolutely trust them with Ginger anytime and will definitely use them again. Anne and Andrew are truly wonderful dog sitters!”

Trusting Bozeny with Dale was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Drop off and pick was seamless, Dale responded to my messages in a timely manner, answering any questions I had. Our flight home was delayed and Dale graciously accepted to keep Bozeny for an extra night, which reduced my stress level immensely. Bozeny came home happy and relaxed, obviously having enjoyed being spoiled by Dale.

Zoe was made to feel at home by Eduarda from the time she enters her place. Eduarda just lived Zoe, our sassy & funky maltese. definitely recommend Eduarda for your fur babies. Zoe will definitely get to stay with her more. Thank you for looking after Zoe, very grateful and appreciated!

Tristan was great with my dog Charlie, who stayed for a full weekend. Communication was easy and prompt, with some nice updates and photos throughout the weekend. Tristan's dog Fifi is very sweet, and calm, and a great companion to visiting dogs. My dog Charlie can be very nervous at first with new dogs and Fifi quickly made him feel safe and calm quickly. The pre-stay meet and greet was a very helpful touch. Charlie came home from his weekend happy and well take care of, and will definitely visit Tristan again in the future!

April was absolutely wonderful to work with! She took care of our 10-month-old puppy, Sophie, for a full week and made the entire experience stress-free. April helped us feel comfortable the whole time by sending frequent photos and videos and always responding quickly with updates. She’s incredibly calm and attentive, and it was clear she was great at understanding and meeting Sophie’s needs. Sophie had such a great week, and we could tell she was happy and well cared for. We will definitely be using April again and highly recommend her!

I had a great experience with yuting. She took wonderful care of Noah, kept me updated regularly, and made sure I was always informed. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Noah was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter. 💖🐾

She was so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. My boys can be a little apprehensive at first, but her calm, positive energy helped them relax right away. They ran into the house and immediately had the zoomies, which is not like them unless they feel completely comfortable. I could tell they felt safe and happy in her care. When I picked them up, they were tuckered out, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. I really appreciate how wonderful she was with them and would absolutely recommend her.

Nikole has done an amazing job taking care of Marty for a week. He’s a high-energy pup and can definitely be a handful, but she handled him with such care and patience. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands and having fun. Her regular, detailed updates made our vacation so much more enjoyable and stress-free. Highly recommend!

Cindy and Jaime are absolutely amazing dog sitters! They watched our pup Red for almost two weeks while we were away on our honeymoon and took such wonderful care of him. They were super accommodating when we needed to modify our dates and add an extra night so we could help my sister with childcare. They’ve been caring for Red since he was a puppy, and we trust them completely. They kept up with his training, sent regular updates, and always responded to messages quickly. It’s such a relief knowing our dog is in such loving and capable hands. We can’t recommend Cindy and Jaime enough to anyone looking for reliable, quality pet care! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
