When our kennel had to cancel last minute we were at a loss as we had a 3 week trip coming up -over the Easter holiday - and no one to watch the dogs. This was our first Rover experience and I’m so glad it worked out! Gus and Winnie have never stayed with anyone else so we were really nervous. Donna was so great at making both dogs comfortable and communicating with us while we were away. Gus had some issues early on (we think due to stress) and Donna went out of her way to adjust her schedule and his surroundings so that he was comfortable. About: I am privileged to have been able to care for cats of all ages, temperaments, and needs. This includes energetic kittens, senior cats, confident social butterflies, and shy or “spicy” cats who need a little extra patience and understanding. My experience comes from nearly a decade with my own shy and "spicy" cat, Mink, as well as my role as a Team Lead at a compassionate no-kill cat shelter in Barrie, ON. I rescued Mink at just 8 weeks old from a home where she was unfortunately bullied by other animals. As my first-ever cat, she really threw me into the deep end! I am forever grateful to have learned off the bat from her the importance of patience, boundaries, and trust-building with cats. Despite Mink now thriving as a spoiled only child, I still felt I had more love to give, which brought me to my work at the shelter. Through my role as a Team Lead there, I’ve been so very lucky to work hands-on with hundreds of cats, especially during what can be one of the most stressful times in their lives. I've bonded with playful kittens learning socialization, senior cats needing gentler care and extra comfort, overweight cats on monitored feeding routines, nervous cats who prefer space and quiet companionship, and outgoing cats who want all the attention they can get. I would do groom, trim nails, feed medicines if needed. Would like to take care of your fur babies while you enjoy your time away. I am currently working a full time job and mostly working from home. About: I have a Loving home and made to be comfortable for four legged friends. I will Play with pets and will take them for walks every two hours and outings if they require more time outside. I will Provide a special comfort blanket while in my home and toys to play with. I will brush their coat and cuddle with them. I will make sure the pet will always see me and be in my watch. About: I have always had a love for dogs and that followed me into adulthood where I've spent the last five years working in rescue. Within the last few years, I've pursued my passion of co-founding and becoming the director of a local dog rescue in the GTA (MUTTS Dog Rescue) and embarked on various trips to the US and across Canada to help save and rehome dogs in need.
