♡ Welcome! ♡ Hi, my name is Tanja. I’m 35 years old—a dedicated and experienced animal lover with over 20 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I’ve owned and cared for dogs my whole life and have always been the go-to dog helper for friends and family. I began offering formal dog-sitting services over 8 years ago after moving back to Vancouver from Belgium. What started as a way to stay busy between jobs quickly turned into a lasting passion—and I’ve been providing part-time pet care ever since. I work for the government and have the flexibility of working from home, which means your pet will enjoy plenty of attention throughout the day—whether it’s regular walks, playtime breaks, or just extra cuddles. I recently moved from Newmarket to Minet's Point in Barrie, where I’m conveniently located near The Gables Trail, Minet’s Point Park, and the Barrie Waterfront Heritage Trail—perfect spots for daily dog walks and outdoor adventures. I welcome all pets into my home and personal care. I’ve owned and cared for dogs, cats, birds, snakes, geckos, hamsters, and even a hedgehog. I’m very active and love being outside, so your pup will enjoy lots of fresh air and movement. My home is clean, bright, and features a sunny, fully fenced backyard with lots of space to roam. I intentionally keep the number of dogs I board low, which allows me to give each one individual love, attention, and one-on-one pet smooches. I believe in creating a calm, secure, and loving environment. Dogs are our family. They are our kids. I know how important it is that they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. That’s why I never confine your dog to a kennel or run—they are free to roam my home and the backyard as part of the family. To ensure a smooth experience, I kindly ask that you share any known behaviours (chewing, potty issues, barking, etc.) in advance so I can prepare accordingly. You'll receive daily photo and video updates and can count on reliable, loving care, whether you're booking sitting, boarding, walking, or playtime. Please note: • A $10 flat rate will be charged each way for any trips over 15km to help cover gas and time. • Dog boarding is for a 24-hour period. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time throughout the day to care for pets. Whether it’s morning walks, midday play breaks, or evening cuddle time, I’m able to give your pet consistent attention and companionship. My routine allows me to adapt to your pet’s needs—whether they’re high-energy and love being active or prefer a calmer, relaxed pace.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced backyard and safe indoor spaces where pets can relax and play. I provide plenty of supervision, regular potty breaks, and follow any feeding, medication, or routine instructions exactly as provided. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I treat it with the same respect and care I would my own. I stick to your pet’s familiar routines to minimize stress and ensure they feel comfortable in their surroundings. Whether at my place or yours, I keep owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I always take the time to build trust with each pet—earning their comfort through patience, play, and gentle care.
A typical day
I love to hike, visit dog parks, play fetch, and I can’t help but spoil dogs with love and treats! I have a large fenced backyard and live near Minet’s Point Park—just steps away from The Gables Trail and the Barrie Waterfront Heritage Trail—perfect for scenic walks, lakeside strolls, and maybe even a little goose chasing by the water!
