Samantha was awesome! Great communication and made time for a meet and greet beforehand. Our dog was timid and took time to warm up to but once she did, it was a great visit / walk. Appreciate her patience!!!

About: I am very flexible, with 15 years of caring for dogs, cats and reptiles and horses. Have experience with medications. My own dog was epileptic so I understand schedules. Able to also care for puppies and elderly dogs. I have experience with troublesome pets (behavioural ) and those needing assistance to potty. My first love is animals and making sure they are happy, generally putting their needs before mine. I also have training experience and can help on that level too. Overall, I just want to help keep your pet happy and yourself.. because if your pet isn’t happy .. then I haven’t fulfilled my job and passion for care. I can also care for horses. Feeding, turn out, turn in, blanket changes and all general care. Available on short notice and very flexible. Will travel within reason. Thank you so much for choosing me. Im currently working part time, so I can schedule in time for all the animals! I always give dedicated care to all the animals and make sure they are feeling their best and are happy. In a client's home, I make sure their pet is safe at all times, whether that be making sure the yard gate is always closed and locked...or they are always within sight. I am very good with puppies and making sure they dont eat anything they shouldn't!

About: I’ve had pets for most of my life and truly can’t imagine my world without them. I’ve cared for both dogs and cats over the years, each with their own personalities, routines, and needs, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know what makes each pet feel comfortable and happy. I currently share my life with my dog, Tilly — a Great Pyrenees / American Pit Bull mix and proud rescue. She’s a big sweetheart with lots of energy, but also an expert couch cuddler. Caring for her has given me hands-on experience with large breeds, strong dogs, and the balance between exercise, structure, and calm downtime. I also regularly take care of friends’ pets, whether that means walks, feeding, check-ins, or simply spending time with them so they feel safe and relaxed while their people are away. I’m attentive, patient, and respectful of each pet’s routine, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I work on a handmade business from home so I spend lots of time with pets. My business is also inspired by the pets in my life. I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog that would love to play with your pup. I also have a large crate if necessary.

About: I am a very patient, caring person and treat all animals like family. I have experience with both cats and dogs and got along very well. I trained both of my cats to listen and they are very friendly. I have been a dogsitter and had a great time. I trained the puppy to heel, listen to the signals, and when and where to take his business outside. I am an active person. I like to stay active by going to the gym or jogging. Doing pet sitting will not only align with my personal goal but also with my passion for working with pets. As my schedule this semester is more flexible, I would love to do more pet care as my fun side hustle! I am a very respectful person. I will always ask for permission for everything that I might need access to before using or accessing the item/room. I will ensure that the client and I are on the same page before accepting the request.

About: I have worked as a vet assistant for about 6 years, and during those years I have learned so much about training dogs, how dogs temperament work, there behavior and most importantly how to create a special bond with them. I also have worked in a doggy day care for 3 years and that's really where I developed my passion for dogs, and the reason to start my own business with them. While working at a doggy day care that’s when I also learned all of my skills because i have delt with all type of needs and breeds of dogs for instance I have developed knowledge on how to read Dogs behaviors, learn there temperaments, learn how to create a grate bond with dogs that have anxiety, or serve behavior issues or that are simply just scared. I have a huge passion for animals and what sets me apart from other sitters is that I just don't offer pet services just for money I take pride in what I do and make sure that I have all the information that I need to know for me to create a safe and happy space for your pets. It means a lot to me if the customers develop a healthy partnership that is based on 100 percent trust and transparency, I have a special bond with each and every single dog that are big or small, feel safe with me, and most importantly do a assessment with them in order for me to know if I have enough ability to provide the dogs with the proper needs that they need for me to do my job properly and safely, and that the dogs aren’t stressed or not happy. Before taking on any dogs on my case load I require to meet the owners first and ask questions so i can have a better understanding of what kind of services that there dogs need, then I require to do a meet and greet with there dog and do a assessment bye taking them on a walk and see if its a good match for not only the myself but most importantly the dog. Currently I have my own business of 5 years and recently I have taken some time off to work on getting my business registered and making a plan for my new website that i want to create, so because of this my schedule is completely open and flexible. If I would be taking care of the dogs at my house then I have half an acre of semi fenced in backyard so they would have lots of room to run and play. However if the owners don't feel safe or comfortable with the fact that my backyard is half fenced or if there dog doesn't get along with other animals then i could always bring them for a walk alone. Inside my house I would have the dogs in my spacious basement that is open concept, and all the cleaning supplies are stored in a separate room away from the dogs, also all wires would be in a special zip lock ties that are safe for dogs. I have a spray that i can use on the wires that prevent dogs from chewing on the wires. I also have a large crate that i can use if needed, plan to get more.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Keswick choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 82% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
