About: I am an experienced pet caregiver. I've handled dozens of dogs of all temperaments. Shy or nervous rescue dogs are no problem! I have done some dog rehabilitation with behavioral issues and some light training as well as regular walking and am now taking clients within 25 km of Jackson's Point. I can handle any dog big or small, high energy, timid, low energy, giant breeds, counter surfers, etc... I never stop learning about pets so you can rest assured knowing you have one of the best looking after your pets. I have a wealth of knowledge & experience to ensure the best possible experience. I have open availability every Wednesday, as well as alternating weekends. Exceptions can certainly be made for overnight stays, please reach out with details if that is what you need! During the day your pets will get as much playtime as they prefer and the weather will allow. I'm an early riser, and the first thing I do is take the dogs outside. I keep a watchful eye on them to eliminate as much of a chance as possible for escaping, getting into things they shouldn't, etc... While also making sure they are fulfilled mentally and physically each day. I go above and beyond to make sure every dog enjoys their time in the safest possible manner. I aim to understand their nature and fulfill their needs. I currently have open availability on Wednesdays, as well as every other weekend! Exceptions can certainly be made for overnight stays - please reach out with details if that's something you need! Your furry family member's safety is my priority! I will always do my utmost to protect every pet under my care. Safety and happiness are the top priorities.

Ashley was an amazing dog and cat sitter. My dog is special needs with his disease and has high anxiety but she made him feel safe. I will be using her services again. I have never left my baby with a sitter before and she made me feel comfortable with great communication and pics of my boy through out the day. I was thrilled with the level of care and attention she gave him and was able to give him meds right on time!

Bozhena is, hands down, the best sitters we've ever had. She's stayed in our home multiple times now, and every single time we come back to a happy pets and a spotless house. What stands out most is her communication — daily photo updates without us even having to ask, so we never spend a trip wondering how things are going back home. She's punctual, trustworthy, and treats our space with genuine respect. Booking her is one less thing we ever have to worry about when we travel.

Laura (and her partner, Nick) took wonderful care of my anxious dog, Luna. Laura provided daily updates, administered Luna’s anxiety medication, and carefully followed the routines and protocols we have in place for her separation anxiety. It gave me great peace of mind knowing Luna was well cared for and genuinely loved. Luna enjoys spending time with Laura and Nick whenever I’m away. I highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter, especially if you have an anxious pup!

Such a lovely caring person. When searching through the Rover site it was difficult to pick who we wanted as we’ve never used this site and I must say we picked the right person. We have two cats and my oldest is 14 very timid and took to Solana right away. Thank you Solana for your loving care and all your wonderful updates while we were on vacation. We were blessed to have you and so were Karl & Oliver. Definitely recommend this lovely girl. Thank you Jim & Christine.

Will is an amazing sitter! Very communicative, sent texts and photos every day, and took very good care of our cat while we were away. Our very shy and timid cat Peanut loved him and was in very good spirits when we returned from our trip! Will also cared for our home while we were away and kept it very clean and tidy.

Highly recommend Andrea! We left our 14 year old Cockapoo for a week to attend a family wedding in Portugal. As this was the first time we had ever left her with a non-family member, we were apprehensive. We had three practice sessions before the week away. I felt confident leaving our dog in her care, in our home. While we were away Andrea sent us pictures and let us know how everything was going. She is very honest and seems to understand what a dog needs. If we have another opportunity to go away I will definitely call Andrea.

Another successful pet and house sitting with Mark! Stella and Ben clearly enjoy their time with Mark and are well cared for during our time away. Mark's regular "pupdates" give us peace of mind and many smiles. We are already planning our next trip with confidence. Thanks Mark! Two high energy golden retrievers can be a handful!

Stephanie did a great job of looking after our fur babies Kona and Sapporo. They were both happy and comfortable with her. She quickly recognized that Kona's chronic respiratory problem was flaring up and got him to the vet quickly for treatment and was able to give him insulin injections twice a day. We definitely recommend her especially if you have pets with special needs.

About: I’m a compassionate and experienced dog caregiver with over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for my own beloved pug through every stage of her life. In her senior years, I provided consistent medical and mobility care, including administering medications, ear and eye drops, using inhalers, assisting with post-surgery recovery and wound care, and offering gentle joint massage to support her comfort and movement. That experience taught me how important patience, routine, and close observation are - especially for senior dogs or those with special needs. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to learn their habits, energy levels, and cues so they feel safe, calm, and well cared for in my presence. I’m happy to offer boarding, house sitting, and dog walks. Whether your dog enjoys quiet companionship, short and gentle walks, or simply needs someone attentive and reliable to maintain their routine, I provide care that’s calm, loving, and dependable. I’m especially comfortable caring for senior dogs, dogs recovering from illness or surgery, and pets who need medications or extra support. Your dog will be treated with the same respect, patience, and affection I gave my own - because I know they’re not just pets, they’re family. I work from home in my own business, which gives me excellent flexibility and allows me to be home most of the day. This means dogs in my care receive frequent attention, supervision, and companionship, with plenty of flexibility for walks, feeding schedules, medications, and individual needs. My home is calm and comfortable, with full attention for your dog. I live in a main-level condo with direct street access, making walks and potty breaks easy - perfect for senior or mobility-challenged dogs. Your dog’s routine, meals, treats, and water are followed carefully. I’m located across from a park, nearby scenic walking routes, abundant green spaces, and a fenced dog park - providing plenty of safe outdoor time and play.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Keswick on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,591 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Keswick. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Keswick maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Keswick walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Keswick choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 85% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
