âThis was Teddyâs 2nd stay with Amanda! It was lovely! She is very responsive to messages and took good care of my puppy! :) See you soon again! Thank you Amanda!â

âBailey had an absolutely wonderful experience with Ashley, Ryan and their wonderful family. Our Bailey was cared for with so much kindness and attention, and we loved the updates throughout the stay. We brought home a happy and tired pup. Thank you for being so reliable and thoughtful â weâll definitely book againâ

âKimberly was great and Harley was very welcoming. The vibe felt good for dogs to be around. Unfortunately, Nala got into a fight with Harley (for the first time in years of multiple day care visits and boardings). We picked Nala up right away. Kimberly said Nala was a very sweet girl. On behalf of Naka we are veey sorry that happened.â

âThis was our first time leaving Cuddles for day care and Samantha put us at ease from the first moment during our meet up. She's very experienced so she's very calm, confident and reassuring. She's so nice that Cuddles, our normally clingy doggy, followed her without looking back on the first day. She also has a cute doggy Miko who is an absolute sweetheart. We 100% recommend her because she's amazing!â

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life. They aren't just pets though, they are part of the family! We currently have a 2 year old black lab/boxer. I always want the best for my dog and I know you do too! I am currently retired and home all day every day! Your dogs will never be alone. In fact, I love taking them for walks through the forest and playing with them in the backyard! My dog has the run of the house and is allowed everywhere in the house and the backyard is entirely fenced in. They are allowed to go in and out on their own as much as they want to!
âHanna is awesome! Easy and efficient communication, frequent updates, and lots of adorable photos throughout the stay gave me complete peace of mind. She took excellent care of my pet and made sure all of their needs were met. It was clear that Hanna genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. My pet came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I would definitely book with Hanna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional sitter!â

About: Iâve always had dogs in my lifeâfor as long as I can remember, there was always a wagging tail waiting at the door. Growing up, they werenât just petsâthey were my best friends, my comfort on hard days, and the quiet, loyal presence I didnât know I needed. When I felt sad, they seemed to know before anyone else, curling up beside me with eyes full of understanding. They depended on me for food, walks, and loveâbut the truth is, I depended on them just as much. In their loyalty, I found strength. In their joy, I found peace. Dogs have been a constant in my life, and I canât imagine a world without them. Our dogs are woven into the fabric of our daily lives. They join us for quiet mornings with coffee, lazy Sunday afternoons, and evening walks that help us unwind. On weekends and during the summer months when Iâm off from school, I get to spend even more time with themâwatching their quirky personalities shine and enjoying the calm they bring into our home. Whether Iâve had an emotionally heavy day at work or my husbandâs meetings have left him drained, theyâre always thereâtail wagging, eyes full of love, asking for nothing more than our presence. Itâs in those small, ordinary moments that Iâm reminded just how extraordinary dogs really are. Caring for your pet means respecting the routine youâve created for them and your home. Iâm committed to following your instructions carefully, honoring your preferences, and keeping you regularly updated. Your peace of mind and your petâs well-being are my top priorities.
âCaroline took such great care of my dog, Mocha, for a few hours. She kept me updated throughout the stay and sent plenty of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Mocha was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated Caroline's communication and kindness, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!â

âWe had a wonderful experience with Zarina and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter. Our dog, Coco, stayed with Zarina for one day, and, we were a bit stressed because Coco is not used to being in someone else's home. Zarina arranged a meet-and-greet the week before, which immediately put us at ease. She was incredibly thorough, asked thoughtful questions about Coco's routine, personality, and needs, and it was clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. On the day of drop-off, Coco was nervous and didn't want to stay. Zarina remained calm, patient, and confident, and she knew exactly how to help Coco settle in. There was also another dog in her care that day, which initially made me a little nervous since Coco had never met that dog before. However, Zarina clearly understands dog behavior and personalities and was very intentional about making sure the dogs were a good match. Everything went smoothly, and there were no issues at all. Throughout the day, Zarina kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy our event without worrying. Seeing Coco relaxed and comfortable in the updates reassured us that she was in excellent hands. When we picked Coco up, she was happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. It's obvious that Zarina treats every dog as if they were her own. We are so grateful for the care and attention she provided and would not hesitate to book with her again in the future. Thank you, Zarina, for taking such great care of Coco!â

âThank You Nicole, Charlie cant wait to see You again. It's like with Your family he has got a second home. Thanks also for the latest pictures of him eating. Even so he is a fussy eater. Ha, Haâ

About: Iâve been caring for animals since I was 12 years old and grew up surrounded by dogs my entire life. Over the years, Iâve also cared for a chameleon, hamster, and ferret, which gave me experience with a wide range of pet needs and personalities. I adopted my dog Maia 3 years ago, and sheâs full of energy with a big personality, which has taught me a lot about active dogs, structure, and keeping playtime both fun and safe. I also adopted my cat when I was 20. She was very feisty, and no one else wanted to handle her, but I built a strong bond with her over time. We also went through a lot together, including managing her diabetes, so Iâm very comfortable and experienced with giving medication and administering insulin injections when needed. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I always aim to provide calm, attentive, and loving care so every animal feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while youâre awayâ¤ď¸ Pet care is already a natural part of my daily life. I'm currently working remote so my schedule is fairly flexible. Iâm also experienced with more specific care, including administering medication and injections when needed, so Iâm comfortable adjusting routines based on each petâs requirements. Overall, Iâm very organized and flexible, and I genuinely enjoy having animals as part of my everyday routine rather than it feeling like an extra task. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family and kept in a calm, safe, and structured environment. I have a fenced-in backyard where dogs can run, play, and get energy out safely, along with regular walks and supervised outdoor time. I follow each petâs normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special care instructions. In a clientâs home, I respect their space and make sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment.
About: Iâve been training dogs since 2017, and along the way my clients noticed how loving and dedicated I was with their pups so they started asking me to take care of them too! Iâve done daycare, overnight stays, even cared for pups for weeks or months while families traveled, always making sure they felt safe, loved and happy. Iâve got lots of experience with puppies and senior dogs. Iâm patient, attentive, and treat them like family. Friends even ask me to save a spot for their furry babies! Plus my 4-year-old daughter Mia absolutely adores them and loves helping me care for our furry guests! With us your pup wonât just be cared for, theyâll feel right at home. đžđ Iâm home full-time, so Iâm available every day, all day! That means your furry friend will never be alone. They will have company, attention, playtime, and lots of love all day long. đ I make sure every pet feels part of the family while theyâre here. Whether itâs cuddle time, play breaks, or just keeping them comfortable and happy, Iâve got them covered.𼰠At my place your pet will feel right at home! I live in a house with a fenced yard where they can run, play or even relax and get some fresh air (always supervised, of course!). Whether your pet stays with me or I visit your home, I always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I adapt to their needs, routines, and energy levels.

Sam was amazing with our Leo. I'll be using her services again. She was attentive and was able to understand him very quickly. I can tell Leo had a fantastic day with her and her dogs. He came home happy and utterly exhausted. Which is a blessing for an 8 month old puppy. Especially after a day of DYI home improvements.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Keswick commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 81% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
